Having an AP has ruined me... and I love it.

Can you provide some names of these hotels? Bought AP for Christmas and need some cheap stays/ that are clean and safe hotels. We are staying insight in March but would like some cheap weekend options

Use Hotwire and pick a 4 star and you should be good

We upgraded our passes from January 2017 trip, and we will have made our 4th trip in December. Bummer, we live in Oklahoma, so we drive to Dallas to take non-stops via SWA. We pay for the flights with points. As long as we can get a good deal with points, that takes care of the travel. We usually stay onsite at POP, although, our most recent trip in Oct, we stayed at Poly. It was incredible. We like Pop, we usually rent a car and specifically stay in the 90's building as it is really close to parking. We normally get Pop for less than $100/day, plus it also comes with the benefit of the 60 day fp+ window of course.

I fudged a little on the one my wife and I are staying in now. I’m paying Quality Inn by the Lake (on 192 West) $67 per night for a king bed room. Could have gotten two double beds for $57

Last month my son and I stayed at Rosen Inn on I-Drive when we came down for Halloween Horror Nights. That was $45 per night for a high rise motel with interior corridors.

In August I stayed at Maingate Lake Resort (very close to Quality Inn). It was $38 per night. I could stay there again, but it was just a tad dumpy.

I should note that I found and booked all these on my Expedia app.

Having an AP is like going to a buffet for my family - it's all about getting your money's worth! But since I became a passholder at twelve and basically grew up at WDW (THANK YOU MOM AND DAD), my touring has never been run 'round 'til you drop. My parents are very "let's play it by ear" people and I love how having an AP allows that. It's more complicated with the advent of FP+, but still highly doable.

We live about 80 minutes from WDW and I've always found it interesting how different we tour when we go with visiting family members. We always want so much for them to love it as much as we do that we try to experience everything--I think we wear them out! It's funny to get a taste of what it must be like for a lot of families who can't come very often. It's probably more special because of the rarity of it, but also more pressure-inducing.

We usually go every January and September from Jersey, but have only done the annual pass twice. Probably should have done it every time. This past September we had a split stay, 4 days at POP with free dining and 4 days renting DVC. Hurricane Irma caused us to cancel POP, we were going to upgrade those package passes. Bought hoppers at AAA and upgraded those instead, since we already paid for 8 nights at Kidani in January.

We were planning on squeezing in a last minute fall trip " to get our money's worth". But now we just have to do a spring trip since I rebooked our January Southwest flight and got it down to $25 bucks each way. The travel funds expire in June. We'd be crazy not to go, right???

We are also looking forward to relaxing on our next trips. If we want to sleep late and relax at the hotel for a day or two, that's what we're going to do. No rush at all to do anything, because there will be another trip around the corner. But we will have to take a break after 2018. Can't afford to go as much as we'd want!
