Thats good at least they are working...imagine having him start and then have to re start...and do first day kindergarter over again....

Wow so many of you gals (and guy) are going around Christmas ....wish I could too...(DH would have a fit if I even suggested it)....

Guess I'll just have to enjoy everyones reports and pics

I'll have to enjoy everyone's reports and pics with you since my Christmas trip won't be until next year (hopefully ). DH just shakes his head and gets confused because he never knows if I'm talking about our July trip or the December one that's not even booked yet . But I think time will really start to fly now.........it always does (for me atleast) once Labor Day comes and goes . But I don't mind because I LOVE the holidays and all the decorating . My 13 yo ds always tells me my house looks like WDW during the holidays because every where you turn there's some kind of Mickey decoration staring you in the face .

I have taken over spelling and given some mini-lessons on independent reading...so far so good....
I have to say you must be able to juggle....and MUST WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES! My feet are killing me! No high heels anymore...I think I may have to have a clearance sale!

We have alot of Disney holiday decorations too....Many GF ornaments for the tree ...

And ofcourse a monorail gliding along the tracks under the tree (who needs the traditional trains when you can have a monorail right...)

Hey, all!! Happy evening.

Dawn....that is great you have good kids! Did it go OK with the teacher absent the other day?!?

OMG.....ya...that's something to think about for sure...you're always on your feet. I can see you heading to Nordstroms this weekend!! Palease...don't turn into a birkie lover. Lucy has several teachers that wear them ALL YEAR...and even in the snow with bare feet!!! SHe laughs about their scary feet. Actually all the kids do.....those feet are notorious. You don't want that for yourself.

I have to go make egg salad. I promised at the beginning of summer I would make it. GUess what? It never happened. Along with a lot of other junk that was supposed to this summer. So....before Jojo eats all the hard boiled eggs...off to make it.

LOL Dawn, I was supposed to meet my friend a few weeks ago...and she calls me from her cell and tells me she's gonna be late...I was like...WHERE ARE YOU? She was in the Von Maur shoe clearance room. She was going crazy there and couldn't leave. I used to love that store when I lived out there. I got some cute shoes back then.

Shhhh....don't tell Shel we are doggin on her Birks. I have to say I do own a couple pairs....CUTE ones..with patterns. I also own a pair of soft sole Arizonas...they saved me when I broke my toe at WDW. So...I do always bring them with. A little known fact as they don't leave my luggage except in a dire emergency. And a broken piggie on a Disney trip = dire emergency = break out the Birks.

I need to find out what is up with Kel....she has been MIA too long. Gonna email her.

Hey all...lots of posts for me to catch up on...but no time tonight. My time will be limited now with dd in school. My only real home day will be thursday aside from that we are gone everyday DD had a wonderful time in school today. She missed her teachers and friends so I'm glad she's back. DS and I just ran errands and picked up our updated paperwork for GF (finally told dh tonight after he asked if we moved to the CR yet) so we are all set. now hurry up and get here January
As for me I'm feeling a bit better. I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon and that was MUCH needed! Still a bit under the weather but better than I was. Summer colds do suck!

Hey- Chicago gals. I have a tumbling meet in Glen Ellyn in a couple of months. Is this close to Schaumburg?? Where is the closest hotels etc. Thanks!

Hope everyone has a great day!! It is going to rain a lot here today but we really need it. They have called for 4-7 inches so I am not sure if we need that much.

Good Morning to You All . A dreary day today but we do need the rain . And it's not so bad since it's Thursday and another weekend is almost here .


skjj - Glad you're feeling a little better . Isn't it great to get the paperwork for your trip??? That just makes it official . January will be here in no time and you'll be having fun at the GF before you know it .


BlueSkies - Don't feel bad.....I'm overloaded with laundry and I wasn't even away on vacation . I think it reproduces itself or something because just when I think I've finished, I blink and there's piles of dirty clothes waiting to be done . Laundry is a never ending cycle in this house .

Deb I think the laundry MUST reproduce itself!! I can never seem to get ahead...When DSs are off at college they do their own laundry....when they come home....laundry amnesia!!!

Hi, all!!

LOL...Deb...I am OVERLOADED with laundry. I am the same....I get busy with other things and turn around and it's like OMG! WHERE DID THIS ALL COME FROM?!?!?!? I cannot keep up. My older W/D broke last spring (I think spring) and I now have some super size front loaders and that helps....I think I just let my laundry get in bigger piles though. And the front loaders don't put it away for me.

SKjj...I am glad you're feeling a bit better. YAY!! The paperwork AND you told your DH your plans. Seriously, you all will love the GF. It is wonderful. Nothing on Disney property comes close. We did the YC/GF split and of course the YC is not near as expensive....and its nice...but then we moved to GF and we were like....ah...we're home! Even with the cost.

BlueSkies...great! I am looking forward to the pics. It's a nice surprise to get on the DIS and have the beautiful pics pop up!! Oh...I do use mustard. I love mustard! I am basic. I use low fat mayo, yellow mustard, salt and pepper & the eggs. Any time I've tried to doctor it up with paprika or spices I get complaints. My kids have simple tastes. And it's so funny because people/friends that are over are like OMG..I LOVE YOUR EGG SALAD. OK......

I am meeting Kristin for bfast! hopefully her DS has school....I know the teachers met last night.

Oopss..quick edit. Vanessa...Glen Elyn is near where Dawn lives. It's SouthWEST of Schaumburg. She'd probably have some ideas.
