I try to pack for my husband, but he would rather do it himself. The last time he left his walking shoes and his belt. We bought him some Mickey Crocs (or Frogs as he likes to call them) and we found a belt in the mens store at the GF.

I hate packing for myself. I'm glad super-wife does it for me.
And the only thing she forgot was my belt. We bought one in the mens store too at the GF.

Mare -- we have the Britax Regent too. I LOVE the seat. Our boys will be in them until they are done with car seats/boosters all together. I love how safe they are.
I can't believe you have a car in the city. Parking costs are OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! :worship:

We pay $385 a month for parking in our building's garage. It's so convenient. I pull up to the front of the building, the doormen take out my groceries then they bring the car to the garage for me. It's like daily valet service :)

BTW, on the whole torn poncho and being able to swap it fro a new one, we got pens for our kids to go with the autograph books and they were the worst! They would not write then would bleed ink every were, the caps did not stay on ect. I was in the GF shop down stairs (the one down from the Cafe) and when i was checking out I saw these pens and said man I wish I had seen these they look way better than the ones from the mercantile and the lady asked what was wrong with them and I told her and she said here how many do you need and put them in my bag at no charge! Great service!

I found out years ago WDW will replace anything. On DS4's first trip at 11 months old, he loved the spinning Saucerer Mickey, we would have that thing going all day. Well, finally the batteries died. I was in the GF gift shop (M. M upstairs) and told the CM I needed batteries for the spinning Mickey, she said just take another one! :goodvibes She took the dead Mickey and gave me a brand new one. - You can never tell how long those batteries are going to last with all the kids playing with them in the store.

I wish DS1 would have lost his Mickey Croc in WDW, I know they would have replaced them. Cute one year old kid with one shoe :rotfl2: Unfortunately, he lost his croc as soon as we returned home! We were walking and he was in his stroller and I didn't notice he had only one croc on until we were home. He lost it (well, really took it off and threw it!) somewhere between 88th St and 65th St!! I was so mad!!! I vowed I would not replace them they were just too expensive for him to lose. So DH bought him the cheapy "Cars" shoes from Payless, they're cute and stay on his feet. But last weekend we were at the World of Disney on 5th Ave and they just got in a shipment of Mickey Crocs and had them in his size (which is hard to find) so I couldn't resist - I bought them. He hasn't even worn them yet, I'm so afraid he'll lose them!!! :rotfl2:

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!

How is everyone!!

Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been so busy with getting settled back into reality!!!:scared1:

Finally finished the laundry!! It just starts piling up again!!

I am the master packer here!!! I have a problem with stopping, I just keep adding until its zippered!!

To everyone here, HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!

My DH said we can book for next year, I am going to do the same 8 days as this year!!! I can't wait to have a ticker again, even if it will say 11 months!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I forgot to pack DH's belt once too!! We were in Vegas and he had to buy one at the Forum Shops at Caesars. Although, my DH loves to shop so it was actually an excuse to go shopping for him! :rotfl2:

Good Morning All! :goodvibes

Quick question for DH  who just loves to eat at "El Pirata y El Perico" in Adventureland. It is a seasonal counter service offering and since we haven't been to WDW in August in several years, he was wondering if it will be open. We are arriving on the 21st! Anyone know?

Dh is really waffling on our Xmas ressie at GF since I have points left with DVC. I did go ahead and make a backup ressie at VWL in a one bedroom with points just in case. (could not believe this was still available)

Oh no!!! But at least you can still go on a trip, which is good!!! Hopefully things turn around and you can bank those points till next year!!

Morning GALs! The verizon man is coming over today to work on the wiring around here! I am giddy keep running to eh window every time I think I hear vehicles out side LOL! :cheer2:

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully it works out!!

Kristin and Chan...you want to meet for lunch??? Vanessa and Evie you are welcome but i know its a hike!:scared: I am available next week anyday except Wed and Fri. I can drive up by you all...

I may have to bring DS if we do... we can talk details later and see if it can be worked out... when do you start teaching???????????????????

I am on code watch 2008! :rotfl: Rumor has it that the Disney Visa codes are coming out on Monday through the end of the year. Hopefully between it or an AP rate I can get my price down a touch more from my pin and get a complete 9 day ressie rather than my crappy 1 night plus 8 nights split code I have now!!

Also still waiting for SW to drop my fares...nothing yet, but I am hopeful. If I get a big enough credit (and once we get our AP's for this trip) I am going to do my best to convince DH of another bday trip in early June to Pop "to use our SW credit" (which will expire late June) since we only have to pay for hotel and meals :wizard:

Have a Grand Day ;)
Kristin

morning, all!:goodvibes I was up til 1:30 am working on stuff....omg...i feel foggy today. It's gonna be HORRID trying to get back into the school schedule...the thought of getting up at 6 am makes me ill.

Ughhh no Verizon man yet..... suppose to come between 8 and 12  ....... Kelly I need to channel you again so I can call them, LOL!

Good morning ladies!!!:goodvibes

DawnI finally got caught up on SYTYCD, except last night's episode. I love the guys that are left. They are so fun to watch!!:goodvibes I agree with you on the girls. I have to work tonight, so I probably won't watch until weekend. Can you keep secret until then??

Mandy Thanks for all your info on the photopass sessions and pictures. :goodvibes I loved that website, it gave a lot of info. When should I schedule a session for pictures for Jan? We will be staying at AKL, so where we should have them at?
I just looked at photopass pictures from the waterparks. We only had 20 picts done, so I am on the fence about ordering. There are some cute shots that I know I did not get. I will have to wait and see what our water cameras show.

I wanted to share with you all our 1900 Park Fare dinner experience. We went there for my daughters 8th b-day. It was a really great. The stepsisters were hilarious and loud, I think even my son was entertained by them:banana: My 4 yr old was scared by the one in blue (Drucilla??), she wanted nothing to do with her. Prince Charming was about cheesy, my DH was making fun of him:sad2: My girls got the light up tinkerbell drinks and thought those were great. Cinderella made a big deal of DD's B-day and that was nice. I had the slipper delivered to her and she was mesmerized by it. I don't think she had any clue that I had to order it. I am so glad I did, because there were many B-days and lots of cakes being delivered (mostly the cheap ones) and she had asked me if she would get a cake also. It was delicious also. The buffet was a good selection of food also. I was so tired of eating by this meal though:rotfl:
I do have to tell you all one funny thing, when we were walking through GF, my DS told us this looked like a hotel that girls would like. Do any of you get that from your sons??? Do they enjoy the pool area? I can't remember is there a slide there (that is what he is all about right now)?

Chicago girls, have a great lunch!!!! Maybe next month V and I could join you again. Good luck with all the going back to school preperations. We don't go back this year until 8/28:cool1:
Have a great day!!!:wizard: Evie

Mandy I dont think we've ever had a service person or delivery that was EVER on time , between 8 and 12 means...just plan on being at home for the day...Had a furniture delivery a few weeks ago...same thing between 8 and 12 also, almost had to feed them dinner:rotfl: but they did get here eventually:) oh well...better late than never...

My son is 14 and My Nephew came with us he's 15, neither of them think that. I actually thought that my nephew would love the Wilderness Lodge. His family lives in the country and he's really into hunting and fishing and all that stuff. But he said he like the GF better!! SURPRISED!!!

Anyway the slide at the GF is nice, I go on it only when I have to. It has a turn and goes under something (I think a bridge?) We used to stay at the Wilderness Lodge and its way better then that one.

Evie

My DS4 still talks about the GF Pool slide! :) I went down it first, I didn't know if he'd like it, as I felt it was more like a waterpark slide, not a tame pool slide. But he loved it! He's daring for 4 years old!

I passed on the 1900 Park Fare dinner since I have two boys, and now DS4 wants to go!! He saw the characters from the open door of the restaurant and really wants to meet the beautful princess. :lovestruc

I was searching reviews on the Baggalini Messenger bag and it seems like it's the best WDW bag for a family. Bagsbuy had it for the lowest price, then with the coupon it came to $30!! I hope I like, I'm so picky with bags! I'm used to tote bags, I'm new to world of slings! :rotfl:

I bought the Geneva Ameribag Sling because I saw so many people with slings and thought it was stylish, well it's just too small (actually TINY!!). I just sent it back!

Off to thank the DL ladies! :rotfl:

I have to say that my DS (almost 13) will not stay anywhere except for the GF. We went over to the Poly several times and he looked around. Went to CR and looked around. We went to the Boardwalk and looked around. No way does he want to stay anywhere but the GF. Right now he is camping witht he Boy Scouts. He is on his way to being a First Class Scout. We even went to the WL and thought that he might like that. Nope. GF for both DS (13) and DD (almost 10).

He also likes both pools too.

Mare

Thanks, Mare! I just ordered one for my SIL who will be going to WDW for the first time this fall!

Thanks Mare, I just ordered one for myself in Espresso!!! Great deal!!!

We had to walk around with ponchos this whole trip, so in order to do that we had a small backpack with the 5 ponchos and a couple of empty Disney bags. I quickly learned at Tutto Italia that all you do is roll up the wet ponchos and place them in an empty Disney until after dinner or a ride. The insides stay dry.

Anyway, after we got back to the hotel I would put each poncho on a hanger over the shower rod in the bathroom and let them dry over night. In the morning I would fold them perfectly and pack up our backpack for the next day!! It worked like a charm!!!

This messenger bag is perfect, the pochos can go in the big section and lotion, a hat for Natalie and glasses can go in the smaller section. My camera stays over my shoulder, ready to go at anytime!! I just hope that I ordered a dark color the kids will share in the carrying!!:goodvibes

Hey GF folks! I haven't been on in a bit so I need to catch up. But today is my "little" man's 3rd birthday. wahhhhhhh!!!

Your welcome! :flower3: I ordered the Espresso color too!:rotfl:

I hope I like it. I've never used a backpack/sling before. Each trip I'm trying to pack less and less stuff for our days in the parks. I hate carrying stuff that we never use! There's so many glowing reviews about this bag on the Dis, that I hope I like it as much as everyone else does! Here's the link to the DIS thread if anyone's interested. It's all about what bags people carry http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1855851

Thanks for the tip about the Disney bags for the ponchos! :flower3: I grabbed a Disney bag by the GF pool store to put our Gaspies lunch in so I could hang the bag on the stroller handle and push the stroller :) Now along with Ziplocks, Disney bags are a must to have on hand!! :rotfl2: (They don't have any bags at Gaspies, only trays)

I'm trying to carry as little as possible to the parks. So hopefully we'll just have my bag, the cooler bag and the tote bag (for jackets) but the totebag will go right in a locker for the evening hours. So we'll just have the cooler bag with the stroller. We'll see......

I hate piling things on the stroller, I feel like a homeless person! (NYers will know what I'm talking about :rotfl2: )
