Good Morning Ladies and Mike!

Sorry I was MIA last night but I had to watch the Celtics and even trying to stay up was hard. I fell asleep.

Morning everyone! I have been putting off getting shoes but I can't put it off any longer. I suppose I will order a pair of Mary Jane Crocs for the trip. And my husband just informed me that he needs all new shorts for the trip. I don't have time to go to the mall so I guess I have to pay for expedited shipping! Grrrreat!

Be patient with me over the next few days as I am trying to get Xmas ressies together. Sorry! I will probably be asking all kinds of questions.

Anyway-

Thinking of either Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park for Christmas morning breakfast. I have never been to either for breakfast. First off- are they both full buffets or family style breakfast??

Do you guys prefer one over the other?? 1900 always seems to get very good reviews for breakfast and dinner but I have heard some bad reviews on Chef Mickeys. I am not much of a breakfast person but dh is and we always have a big breakfast at home on Christmas.

Thinking of Narocees for Christmas Eve or CP package at LeCellier?? Will wait for Channing to give me some advice on the time of the events at the GF with santa etc. I do not want to miss that!

Good Lord woman you are gonna have a ton of food with all those snacks AND baggies from the buffet! :rotfl:

How are you shipping milk? I am thinking powdered or canned? Really, I want to know! :confused3

I'm not loading up on freebie food from the buffet - I swear!! Maybe a banana and a cookie! You really got the wrong idea!:rotfl2:

They sell Horizon Organic milk in a juice box at Babies R Us, Whole Foods even Starbucks. I just needed to have some on hand until we head to a DVC resort to pick up a few half gallons. My boys are HUGE milk drinkers and DH loves to snack on cereal in the late night hours :rotfl:

It's not only snacks for the kids, DH likes his munchies too. The chips ahoy and lorna doon cookies are his! :rotfl:

Gosh...V...I almost want to say they went down to the lobby about 7 pm....I am trying to remember what darn time we went to Citricos for dinner on Xmas Eve...we always eat late so I think we were dinking around, talking to the CMs...and Mickey and MInnie popped out of the concierge elevators...it was just US and THEM! So funny. And we took a family pic down with Santa before dinner.....I bet we had an 8 or 8:30 dinner ressie...Yeah..it was late because i remebmer rushing back to show V and J the pics of the beautiful cake E made for us for Jojo..total surprise that they whipped up and I wanted to show them before they left at 10.

I kind of think nightly the fun stuff started at 7 ish....they had bell choirs, victorian choirs, kids, brass...etc something diff every night in the lobby...but Xmas Eve they brought in the big guns! The lines for M & M wre longer than for Santa!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Here's my deal....I know how you feel about traditions...because that's one reason we aren't doing Disney Xmas again for a long time....but...maybe do a GF restaurant on Xmas Eve OR do the early CP...I think there's one at 5 pm...and then you can see the festivities at the GF later. But I was thinking do Epcot on Xmas Day and then do CP Xmas Day.....

Chef Mickey's is OK for bfast. Dinner is sticky and grubby...the food is bleh for dinner. !900 pf is decent either way. They are both full buffet. Ohana is totally family style bfast w/Stitch and Lilo.

Well, I finally cleaned out my closet last night. It took two hours but I found my summer clothes and a ton of shoes that I forgot I even had! :rotfl2:

We're leaving for the country house today at 2pm. I'm doing a load of laundry, writing out bills, and trying to pack - all before 10:30 when I have to head out again to pick up the munchkin from school. I hate it when he has a half day, it kills my schedule!! :rotfl:

Won't be around much until Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend! Mike and Annette, It's going to be a heat wave in NY until Tuesday!! Stay cool. Enjoy your pool Annette.

I also remember Lucy and I went to the MK on Xmas Eve to see the Xmas parade....Jo and Col and Z went to Epcot for some reason....they had bomb sniffing dogs checking out all the monorails that day. We had never seen that before.

The parade is a MUST SEE ...it is so ute. Xmas Eve early was not bad at the MK. Lucy and I got a great spot for the parade. After that we left.

Lesley - I do that expedited shipping all the time!! I am such a procrastinator with trip packing/organiizing!!!!! Or you can have it shipped to the resort....done that.:rotfl:

Mare
you are too funny!:thumbsup2

Whew, glad I'm not the only one! I just bought 6 pairs of shorts for my husband.... I still can't believe he waited until now to tell me that his old ones were a bit snug!

I also bought the Crocs on shoebuy dot com but I just did the regular free UPS Ground shipping. I usually receive stuff from them the next day so hopefully it will be here by Monday.... or Tuesday.... otherwise I'm S-O-L b/c we leave Wednesday morning!

Yep Mare the weather is supposed to be icky from tomorrow on. It's good preparation for the Orlando weather! :lmao:

I agree with Channing Chef Mickeys and 1900 PF are both good for breakfast. CM is gross for dinner - we did it once and never again. We like it for breakfast and do it almost every trip! Both are buffets with lots of good stuff!

Great, well we have reservations for Chef Mickey's the day we arrive for dinner. But hearing that it is "gross" for dinner really makes me want to cancel that one.

Morning Gals.....

I am home today with ds, he was sick yesterday, now needs a little TLC!

Kel~:cool1: Celtics Win!

V~I prefer 1900 way over Chef Mickey's....Chef's is getting a little too dingy for me!

Mandy~I like your style! That is me all the way;) Now that they are bigger..no one listens anymore!!!!!:confused3 :lmao:

Well...we used to do it every trip because the characters were the most fun and it was very upbeat and Disney....but we had a yucky icky experience with not so good character interaction on our last try....but that was 2 yrs ago, haha..so maybe things have changed...I was willing to give it another try but my kids MOANED...they said NO WAY...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey, Dawn! Sorry ou have a sick kid, too! I am taking Lu to teh dr. now!

Hi, Wendy! Yep...we know what's good.:thumbsup2

Kelly
- yay celtics!

see ya all later!

Chan:goodvibes

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!

Mare - I can't enjoy the pool probably for about 4 days, they shock it when they open it and its not getting opened until Sunday. They are running behind and pushed us back a day. Natalie is going to be miserable!!!

channing - Poor Lucy, I hope she feels better!!!

I am getting so excited for all you guys that are leaving soon!!! Its going to be nice that I know people there!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Hey Mike- I am right there with ya. I had an idea of what I wanted but that has all changed. I was thinking Cindy's Castle for breakfast and then I decided maybe we would want to sleep in and do a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's or 1900 and just relax the rest of the day. Who knows. I have no idea what to expect on the crowds or weather!

I've decided not to sleep in only because we figure the crowds at the Mk will keep us at the GF in the afternoon and evening too i guess.

Kelly, Thanks for the advice, hopefully something will pop up.

Goofygal, I've never seen the California Grill but i guess those views are great. I remember when we are on the Contemp's 14th floor. we felt like we were looking down into the park!
As for rude people I've worked retail (movie theatre, furniture store & Pharmacy) since i was 16 so I'm so used to them ::yes::

Chan, I look forward to when my children are older and we stay in the parks late. Its rare that they will make it past 10pm.
Hmm now I wonder if I should do the CP the night before. I picked the 24th so we don't feel too guilty about missing mass. :) I'd like to attend the first one and it should start at 5pm, right? I would ASSume we could be back at the GF by 7. :confused3 I don't want to miss Santa in the GF...that is too magical.
And you are so right..It is very hard to plan dec when I'm thinking of July and August. Imagine how worse it would be if I didn't have the IPO to help out :faint:

Mandy if you took your 4 then I'm taking my 4 there for dinner. lol that sounds like i'm saying yours are horrible... you know what I mean. Sometime you don't want to be that noisy out of control family with kids :rotfl:

While I enjoy both I Much prefer 1900 for both breakfast and dinner

and I haven't read ahead to see if it was answered but they are both full buffets.
