Vanessa and Mike~
Isnt it crazy we have to think this far in advance and plan where to eat for our vacay 6 mths away:faint:
I always think what if i dont feel like that tonight..then we are stuck!

Im pretty sworn off Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace for awhile..very yucky last time we went! :scared:

Dawn :flower:

Chan pm your dates at Disney again so we can figure out our "meet and greet"::yes::

OK I will!:goodvibes

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!

Mare - I can't enjoy the pool probably for about 4 days, they shock it when they open it and its not getting opened until Sunday. They are running behind and pushed us back a day. Natalie is going to be miserable!!!

channing - Poor Lucy, I hope she feels better!!!

I am getting so excited for all you guys that are leaving soon!!! Its going to be nice that I know people there!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks, Annette....we went to the doctor even kind of hoping it was strep or something...she is so sick and feels awful but it is viral. Just have to wait it out. Hopefully she will feel better for her 1.5 hr last "day" of school MOnday!

Our pool is open, the water is crystal clear, but Col won't turn on the heater until the kids are done with school and it doesn't matter....this weather is hot, but stormy. We have a tornado watch here all day til 8 pm. A couple more days and they will be swimming....they are chomping at the bit!!!!! We'll probably crank the heater Sunday.:thumbsup2

LOl I guess i should read ahead....

Channign that is a great review of Chef Mickeys Dinner STICKY and GRUBBY :rotfl: Its so perfect!!

Our last time there was sooooo nasty. I pulled my chair out and my hand stuck to the back...there was goop on it....and then sat down, put my foot into a smooshed corn muffin under the table.:rotfl: :rotfl: The tables have a sticky layer to them....ew. CM is NOT for the faint of heart.:rotfl2: It's an experience all right.

Well I forgot your kids are super young....OK forget that plan. Then I guess you guys are early risers. You're from NY so you don't lose an hour like we do....we are NOT early birds on vacation and then losing that hour is bad......so late works out for us. I bet the first CP is about 5 pm....but if they do like last year..that means you have to eat before it. So I believe that would work with your plan of being at the GF on Xmas Eve night.

And still no AC repair man in sight!!!!
::faint:

OMG...that is crappy. I bet you're suffering. THAT IS SUCKO.:headache: I hope it gets fixed FAST!!!!

Dawn :flower:

OK...well we still do Crystal Palace.....BUT that is where I saw this kid stick his filthy paws into the jar with the icecream sprinkles......he just loaded up his fists full of them and walked away. I have noticed they changed that set up...they are in shaker type jars now.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Other than that they have some things I really love there!!! :goodvibes I just stay away from certain items.:rotfl2:

Talk to ya all later!! I have to run over to pick up Jojo in a bit, take her for new jazz shoes and then her recital weekend starts tonight....it's a crazy weekend!!! I will be so relieved on Tuesday....everyhing OVER!:cool1:

PS>..Mare, I did buy the quart size and they worked perfectly for holding all our soccer goodies!!! I stuffed them all!!! THANKS! The ziploc queen.

Channing :)

LTT mmmm sweet butter mmmm
:lovestruc

Ya....we are still suckers for LTT TOO:goodvibes ....the characters have always been great to us there....and Chip and Dale are Jojo's faves. And that mac and cheese...(ick I hate it...but Jo loves it and the CM mac and cheese tasted like "sweaty socks" from her Mac & cheese expert taste buds)

Mike...I replied an edited version of my pp. but I think the first CP is 5 or so...and I heard it lasts less than one hour. So - if they run the dinner package deals like last year - you'd have to eat prior to CP...and then CP and you'd be back at the GF for the Xmas Eve fun.

Yes...good thing for IPO. :thumbsup2 I hope they can get you everything you want.

Channing :)

We are also the same...losing that hour really kills us for the first 2 days! My boys love to sleep in and stay up late at parks, then go for a midnight dip::yes::

Oooh tonight is the recital?? Have fun!!! A future So You Think You Can Dance contestant???:goodvibes

Great, well we have reservations for Chef Mickey's the day we arrive for dinner. But hearing that it is "gross" for dinner really makes me want to cancel that one.

Well, it was 3 years ago so mabye its gotten better! It's JMHO and the characters are great!:)

pixiedust: Here's some pixie dust Mike! I think Marci was having the same problem.

Dawn~ I bet you are soo excited!!! Enjoy!

Yes -- I was, but some of mine opened. I started trying summer 2007 and could only get 12/27 - 12/31, then 12/31 opened up. I'm still trying to get 1/1 - 1/4, but can handle a split stay if needed. I just really wanted 12/31, so I was very excited when it opened.

I'm also dragging my butt on planning ADR's for Christmas. I have about 2 weeks before my window opens but i'm so lost for some reason...I don't know where to eat and when and I really want to have places planned each day so we don't get stuck when we are there.

I was thinking the Candelight processional package in Italy for dinner on Christmas Eve but not sure about Christmas dinner.

I'm also behind in making decisions for Dec.Jan. I agree that you do need to make ressies for every day. It is so incredibly crowded that you'll want options instead of lurking for tables at CS places. And I agree with your theory of going early and doing the resort later. That worked perfectly for us last year. It was warm last year and the kids swam every afternoon. Mine love CMs, and the last trip we tried dinner. Other than an hour wait, even with an ADR, we didn't have problems with sticky/dirty. Maybe we were just lucky. We love 1900 as well, but my kids are 12 and 9 now, so they think the stepsisters are hilarious. My husband has no need to do LTT again. We've been three times, and each time, even with ADRs, we've waited more than 45 minutes, plus he doesn't like the food, but many people love that place. It's all in the particular circumstances/night you go, I think.

Morning Gals.....

I am home today with ds, he was sick yesterday, now needs a little TLC!

Kel~:cool1: Celtics Win!

V~I prefer 1900 way over Chef Mickey's....Chef's is getting a little too dingy for me!

Mandy~I like your style! That is me all the way;) Now that they are bigger..no one listens anymore!!!!!:confused3 :lmao:

TTFN:wizard:

I hope your DS is feeling better!

Well...we used to do it every trip because the characters were the most fun and it was very upbeat and Disney....but we had a yucky icky experience with not so good character interaction on our last try....but that was 2 yrs ago, haha..so maybe things have changed...I was willing to give it another try but my kids MOANED...they said NO WAY...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey, Dawn! Sorry ou have a sick kid, too! I am taking Lu to teh dr. now!

Hi, Wendy! Yep...we know what's good.:thumbsup2

Kelly
- yay celtics!

see ya all later!

Chan:goodvibes

I'm so sorry Lucy is sick. I hope she is feeling better!

We have been crazy busy with baseball, soccer and end of school, but soccer is over and rec baseball finishes on Monday. Now we just have select baseball. Andrew's team is currently ranked 4th in the nation. I tell ya, the tournament in Waco last weekend (road trip, as it's 1 1/2 hours from us) they were extremely humbled... might be why we have practice at 9 a.m. tomorrow. :rolleyes1

We have swim lessons, batting lessons, a bat mitzvah party (our first, for a girl in Andrew's class at school) and a baseball tournament tomorrow. Luckily, my brother (the coach) is taking Jake, since they asked him to play on their team this weekend. Jake is a year younger than everyone else on the select team, but they have several out this weekend. Sunday will be the tournament, and hopefully Church.

I've missed everyone! (ok, almost everyone... ;) )

Channing - Hope Lucy is feeling better!:wizard: I'm going to B&N tommorow to check out those books!:)

Dawn - Hope your son is better, too!

Marci - Congrats on your DS's baseball team! 4th in the nation- WOW!!

Mike - We did the first CP showing at 5pm ( mabye 5:15-can't remember -need to look it up from last years Itinerary) We ate at Le Cellier at 2:45 I believe for lunch. Don't know if it matters to you but for the first CP showing, it is not dark out. This didn't bother us but I remember some people posting that they felt like it took away from the experience since it was still daylight out! Just a thought!

OMG that is awesome about your sons team!!! How old?? I know all about it...my son played travel bb for 2 years....now he plays locally..way better than all that traveling:faint: Good Luck:thumbsup2

Good one;)
Dawn:flower:

Morning gals!

Dawn and Marci~ Well we enter the softball world this morning at 9:30 a.m. My husband I are coaching. He knows what he is doing...but I have NO clue so it should be interesting! This is only a four week summer program so it will not be that bad. Dh is determined Lexi is going to be a softball player (especially since she is a lefty!):thumbsup2

Marci and Mike~ I hope your dates open up. I am on the fence for the CP on the 24th. I am going to make dh think about it tonight. I do not want to miss the GF that night but I also do not want to miss the religious aspect of CP. Maybe we will do CP Christmas night:confused3 I have heard several people say the earlier show in the day hours is not as moving as the show in the dark..I HAVE NO CLUE...just what I read.:santa:

Channing~ I hope Lucy is feeling better and Jo has a great recital. :grouphug: Here's a little support to help you make it through the weekend. The recitals are brutal! (but a lot of fun!!!)

When the heck should I be sending my ADR stuff to the IPO??:confused3

Vanessa ~ I agree about the early show. I did the CP for 4 years and the early shows just seemed like dress rehearsals....... It is called the Candlelight Processional hence the need for darkness so our little candles would be visable :rotfl:

Now heres one for you all, CP show use to be in the MK and the stage was on the backside of the train station! Talk about magical! :wizard: The only down side was there was no seating.

last night a car blew the stop sign in front pf my house hit the fire hydrant and flipped over at least 3 times across my lawn and landed inches from my front porch.

I feel truly blessed that no one was hurt as both of my sons and the neighbors kids were all playing in my back yard.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Mike I am thinking of you, because it already super hot!!!! Drink alot of fluids!!!

My DS-Robert had his prom last night. My kids go to catholic school and its a small school so they do things alittle different. The prom is in the gym and beforehand they have a Presentation. I didn't have any idea what this was because Robert is my oldest, friends and I made plans to have my babysitter watch the girls (no sibling allowed) and we were going out to dinner afterward.

Well, first the present each parent with flowers and thank you note that wrote in school for you!! Need I tell you how hysterical I was, I was in a puddle. My son was please Mom, don't cry!!!! Then they do this really cute skit on were they invision themselves in 10 years!!! Very Funny!!! To put the cherry on the cake they all get on stage and sing one of my favorite songs My Wish by Rascal Flatts! I lost it!! On our way out, each child found their parents and brought us to a photo station and we had family photos taken (imagine after all that crying taking a photo), when we pick them up they presented us with these beautiful frames and believe it or the photo was great!!!

We went to dinner and I am not as good as most of you girls, I like my drink!!! Several Grey Goose and Tonics later I was feeling better!!! What a nice night!!! I never excepted such a beautiful presentation or that it was for the parents and thats what it was for the Parents totally!!

I heard the Graduation is awesome and thats next Friday!!! I can't imagine!!!
