That is so odd, nobody has anything good to say about them? They have been so beyond helpful with us. Immediate responses, exact reservation times that we ask for, etc. I have been so super impressed with them. I guess everyone has a different experience. Totally crazy!!!!

i wasn't thrilled with the email I got from them a few weeks back. I have been working with them and the email I GOT was a bit rude ... especially since I was looking for info on how to blow a fortune at disney

Do you think the OP of that thread is being too harsh? I don't. I think the IPO service is incredibly uneven.

After about 4 years of staying only at GF in a Lagoon View, Garden View or (once) Sugar Loaf, I tried AKL Concierge in 2003 (?) after watching the Samantha Brown special. It was my first WDW CL experience and I can tell you it was FANTASTIC. From these boards, I learned about having gifts waiting in the room and other perks. Andrea and Don were like FRIENDS, helping with very special details. It was so FUN to plan my trips and they were quick to return emails and make suggestions, etc.
BWI was the next resort we tried CL and they were AWESOME! Alana helped me and she was SUPERB! I had Alice in Wonderland costumes waiting in the room for my daughter and 2 nieces. I think Alana actually went to the GF and purchased the costumes herself! She also arranged for a balloon bouquet and did not charge me! Soon after we checked into our room, there was a knock at the door and PD delivered a plate of festive cupcakes. It was magical! The photos we took are priceless! Since then, I have tried Poly CL which was so-so, GF RPC which was so-so and now Poly CL again for this summer. I had to contact THEM and I have gotten my requested ADRs but a follow-up re. fireworks cruise remains UNANSWERED, even though I get an automatic response to my emails, assuring me they will be in touch withing 24 hours. It's a JOKE!
BUT - I am willing to pay rack rate at some of these resorts b/c I love the RESORTS THEMSELVES. I could get much better service at the Ritz Carlton but I would not be looking at Cinderella's Castle from my room
I do not understand how the service can be so uneven. Getting an email in response to a question that says "call this number" is p#$% poor, IMO.

Here is the copy and paste of the ONE and only time I tried using the grand IPO I emailed asking them if they could book the VIP tour for me and this is what I got:

VIP Tour
guides book directly through their office at 407-560-4033. Their office
hours are Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM.

see i would agree with you EXCEPT I have been there twice in the past 4 months and between those 2 trips have spent well over 30 grand

Love that line on the Office! I cracks me up! My husband uses it all the time, Like the last time we had sausage I said it was spicy and mumbled it under his breath and I spewed orange juice.... Did I mentioned we were in Sunday School?

We had our best concierge experience by far in RPC. As far as IPO goes, though, Don at AKL is awesome. The IPO for RPC was bleh for us, so Don kindly made all of our ressies for the entire stay (we did a split stay with RPC). Our actual stay at AKL was bleh though.

I do want to say the chick from VIP has been out of this world for me

I love her to pieces already
She has been on contact with me a lot about our trip... she wants to make sure the birthday girl has an extra special time and has asked me a few things about what she likes along with filling out a form. We have spoken on the phone several times. I really like her

It takes a good 3 days..... but you have to continue taking it for a week or so for it to be effective, like oral antibiotics. HTH, how long has he/she (sory I can't remember) been on it?
