BlueSkies, thank you for reminding me to pack my Disney ponchos! We bought them last year for the 1st day of MNSSHP because it rained like a monsoon and not a drop any other day after that. I looks like my first day there (Monday) is probably going to be a rainy one. Thats ok, more time to explore the GF!

Lesley - Congrats on getting your ressie for CP!!!! Still have not begun packing - how about you?! This is DS's first trip to WDW and I am so curious to see what rides and attractions he will love most. What did your 2 boys love most? By the way, I was four-months pregnant for our last trip to WDW and it was such a nice way to get some last minute R&R and enjoy DD before the baby came!

Pack? ehmmm no.... BUT!!! BUT BUT BUT..... I did *think* about packing today and that is a HUGE step forward!!!

In June when we went, the boys LOVED Goofy's Barnstormer, pretty much all the rides in Fantasyland (Pooh, Carousel, Peter Pan, etc), and Splash Mountain. They basically loved everything in the MK that they were big enough to go on. We could have spent the entire week in the MK and they would have been in heaven!

Well I am not ashamed to say that the night i graduated from HS I went to the the 12am showing of Episode I,

We are also Star Wars geeks. We re arranged our flights from the UK to Bermuda to include a stopover in New York so we could see Episode 1 at a 2am showing while 4 months pergnant as it wasn't being released until 3 months later in the UK.

We are at the GF just now and got some pixie dust. We had booked 2 GV rooms but on check in there had been a mix up and we had no rooms and were not in the system so after a wait of about an hour they gave 2 theme park rooms in conch key. We have a fab view of the castle and the kids room has a view of space mountain. The hotel is busy with a BIG convention but they are leaving tomorrow. The crowds in the parks are not bad Fantasyland was a walk on this morning and we did a few rides last night in MK that were also only 5 mins wait. Weather wise I have found it fine with just one heavy rain shower today.

Evening ladies....we have ahead a busy day. Her moved some yard stuff in the garage and got some bottled water, just in case! My hubby will have to be at work before the storm hits and round the clock till the power is back on. Thats the the only thing about working in the engineering dept of the electric company....... Oh well, at least the hurricane pay is AWESOME!

Just wanted to mention that Kelly is falling asleep at the best place in the world to sleep! She gets to wake up in WDW!

Mandy Just wondering if you have any more info on when the storm/hurricane will affect central Fla??? All we are hearing is general info....
We're supposed to be arriving on Thursday....if we have a flight....

Now that is Star Wars fan!
I watched them all ( episodes 1 to 3) on dvd not too long ago and really enjoyed all of them. I even liked JarJar Binks (was that his name?)

WoW how can you not be in the system? how does that happen? Glad you got a good room though. I hope those low MK crowds continue and glad that convention is leaving.

Seems to be headed toward Tampa (2pm tuesday) im still hoping it will move west.

I dont know how big the storm is or will be. If it has tampa in its sight i wonder how that will affect central florida?

Nice to hear that the MK was not crowded I have been worried about the crowd levels during the summer...

Thanks tinklvr...and I agree with you it is definately the best vacation spot
One of our first shopping stops will be at the Basin store...I'll be taking some pics there and if I can figure out how to post them I will! DNiece (herecomesthesun) is set on getting a bath bomb(I think thats what she called it ) As for me so many things sound good

Shopping is one of my favorite pass times..what could be better than shopping while at the GF

Lesley I guess we are the early birds today-I'm still trying to get those DS's to pack (first I have to get them out of bed) , When they're little you cant get them to sleep late and then when they're big you cant get them to get up ...
I'm thinking about the weather too and your right hope it stays good not just for all of us vacationers put for those who live in all of Florida...I know the last several of years they have had some awful storms

Have you started packing yet....DNiece is still doing

Wow...Fay sucks. I just watched the weather channel and it looks like late Monday into Tuesday it will be over Florida. They didn't say where...just breezed over it.

M & Tinkershell...... two words....road trip. Get into your cars tonight and head south! I know you guys are leaving like....SOON. Fingers crossed that that dumb storm veers away from Florida & your flights take off as scheduled.

Mandy...hang in there. I hope Fay goes westward.



It's beautiful here today and we are just going to swim. I am planting myself on a floatie and relaxing. I've had a boring weekend....nothing newsy or fun so see ya all later!

I hear ya!!!! I have 2 DSs (15 & 13) and they have been sleeping until almost noon everyday of summer vacation . They will be in trouble come Wednesday when school starts and they have to be up at 5:30-6:00 . The older they get, the harder it is get them up and/or get them to do anything .
