Chan - I hope he talks to you after work. Its tough to be a teen these days and tough to be parents of teens,too!
Mabye he just is bummed about graduating ,etc. and what is he going to do next year? Hopefully he will open up and let you know if something else is going on.

Chan: Hopefully you can get him to talk. It sounds like your on to something with the hang up from school.

So I thought my ADR list was complete but now I'm second guessing Tony's Town Square. We've never been there and DH said what the heck let's try it. I've heard on several (3!) different podcasts that this is the one WDW restaurant to AVOID at all costs. Ugh! I hate changing restaurants DH suggests because he doesn't contribute much to planning, but he has no clue. Then if the meal stinks he'll say why did I make us eat there! I'm thinking either The Plaza or The Wave. I know DH would LOVE The Wave it's just different, quiet and in the CR (which is his favorite resort). But I know my DS5 would rather stay in MK. The Plaza has a better kids menu and I know everyone will love the ice cream for dessert! So any thought on Tony's? Should I just go with my gut and book the Plaza?

I also have an Epcot dilemma. I really really want to try Chefs for lunch. DH wants to dine where ever the kids will be happy and content. Which I'm guessing would not be France! Coral Reef is probably a better choice for them but it's so hit or miss. We've never been there but I hear horror stories about how they don't seat you on time. Biergarten has nothing for my picky DS5 so that's out. So should I just book the Coral Reef or be selfish and book one ADR where I want to eat?

Mare Your ADR list is going to look like mine soon...add on cross out!!! By the time we get to the 90 mark it will be perfect...right

We ate At Tony's on the last trip...all I can say is its not terrible...DH says he would eat one of those big turkey legs before eating there again...
We were seated on time...nice atmosphere...nice waiter...but its kind of like Olive Garden....

We always eat at the Plaza...every trip...on our first MK day...this past trip we were very disappointed...but I think it was just one of those fluke things...its on the list for next trip....

Since most of your dining plans are focused on what the kids will like best I dont think it would be a bad idea to plan just one meal that suits mom and dad...

The Wave is on our list too... and Yachtsman...we are trying some new places this time around...thanks to all of you gals for your suggestions...

Kelly.....Up and out so early once again....even on Saturday . The only reason I'm up so early is because DS has drivers ed class at 10:00 so I figured I'd get up and have my coffee and computer time before he gets up.....but I'm still in my pjs and not ready to go anywhere yet . But you do get more done the earlier you start so you've got the right idea, Kel .


BlueDeb.......I haven't even looked at my ADR list for awhile . I just wish our call days would get here already so I can call and stop thinking about it . I think I'm pretty well set for what I want......but there's always something that pops up that makes you think of changing one or trying something else . I guess I'll just have to book another trip to make sure I get to eat at all the places I want .

I have to get ready to go to Walmart! I forgot it was my nephews birthday while we were gone! I have to go get him something! And I have to get Jillian some Airborn because she did a sleep over last night and the mother called me a while ago and said her DD was sick! I feel bad...

It is birthday party central this weekend! Two today and one tomorrow! Ughh!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Well..here's my scoop....no talking to Zack yet....

Lucy's party ended at 8...I did NOT do the 10 pm thing again...that got ugly and with tired 12 yr olds comes drama...so I said 8 pm....that was perfect...especially since she handed me a brochure after the girls left...about her solo and ensemble competition TODAY RIGHT NOW...I had DH take her....but anyway...there is a dress code....omg....so we wound up FIGHTING and going thru her closet...to find NOTHING she could wear because she and her friend are doing a French Horn duet..and they ave to be coordinated....so SHE LEAVES THE WHOLE STUPID THING TIL FRIDAY NIGHT!!!! I swear....yes..I sure did swear. We wound up making an 830 pm Kohls run.....with me in a VERY ticked off mood the whole time. It was NOT pleasant. My A+ student has gone flaky on me. She is no longer the perfect responsible kid she used to be a year ago...she has turned absolutely goofball. Her grades have dropped...she even had a C on this last report card which I seriously thought I would NEVER see attached to her name....she is an A and A+ high honor roll kid and always has been an over achiever....she has done a 180..it's all about the clubs and the fun now and DH and I are MAD. There are going to be changes starting this weekend...and she knows it.

So....we were out til almost 10pm.....it is a pita trying to find the perfect pair of pants to match a top she already had planned to wear...everything is on clearance now and picked over.

Anyway...I called home to ask about Zack...and he had gotten a ride home with a friend...changed and already gone out....they came back and his friend slept over...still sleeping....

Jojo had a friend sleep over....in the middle of the night...Jojo comes into my room and I am not usually like this - but I slept thru it and didn't care!! I have been sooo tired...anyway...the little girl - who I know well - she wanted to GO HOME - it was probably 3 am. NOrmally I would have talked her down but I just was lke whatever..... So this morning...I get up and she was GONE! I feel terrible.....I have to call and ask what happened....Jojo said her mom had been out of town and her friend missed her.... kids.

Their party was fun. They played games...they did their own things...it was all off the cuff and very casual. They just wanted to get together. The take/bake Costco pizzas were yummo. Never did those before. They were easy and fast and good.

So sorry for the novel!! I type fast!!!

We had a fab dinner last night for DS bday...I have to start my diet on Monday because my mom is coming over today and we are taking her out for lunch......

Anywho...i get up early this am to go have my drivers license renewed (expires tomorrow) and THEY ARE CLOSED UNTIL TUES.... omg I had better not get stopped in the mean time...I am such a lead foot...i will Polly Perfect until Tues! So like Deb I would have still been in my pjs right now...GRRRRR##$@#%$#$@!&^%*R%

Chan...sound like a good party.....UMMMMMM I had one of those too now shes 26!!!!!!!! Thats teens for ya!

Channing Glad that the party went well...I agree on keeping things short and sweet... on the last minute shopping... I would have been swearing too... my DD is has a habit of doing this also....hope that you get a chance to spend some time with your DS today...

Maxie I never feel like doing laundry either... but it just wont go away....

Dawn Some thing tells me that if you drove and got pulled over with your expired license you'd be able to sass your way out of it....

Afternoon all!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I got the most adorable plate DH and the kids made while i was away last weekend at WDW! They went to Picasso Cup and made me a big square plate with the kids hand prints and hearts and polka dots and it says "Our hearts belong to mom" I cried! I LOVE it so much more than flowers or candy! Oh and they made hearts out of their finger prints!

I gave DH a sweet note and a new wallet and a red fether boa........

ANYWAYS!

We got up and i made pancakes and turkey bacon and then we went to the park and did our holiday tradition we feed the ducks! LOL, we do it every Christmas, Thanksgiving, New years, ect...... we go tto the duck pond an feed our favorite ducks! Then we went to the playground and then played a little tennis.

So far so good...... After the park we went to Lowes to buy new tree swings, paint, and some new handles for my TV stand that I am just finishing up repainting and all and the kids go bazerko in the parking lot........ so we packed everyone up and went home

NO handles, NO paint, and NO new swings........ I am ticked and them because the day was so lovely and full of nice family happy lovey dovey moments and they all grew little horns and devil tails between the park and Lowes and now my projects are hold

I am normally not on the DIS on the weekends but i am so bored and have dinked (thanks Chan fro my new word) around and been grumpy since i had to leave Lowes. I opened the pantry at lunch time and a can of cranberry sauce fell on my foot So after lunch I ripped every single item out and redid the pantry...... I swear if i don't get a bigger house or get this one remodeled soon i am gonna go on strike from cooking! I have freaking labels marking what items belong on the shelves and while i was gone a bomb blew up in the pantry, ughhhh!

Ok, I am gonna go do the base boards in my bathroom now...... they were looking pretty bad so i guess i need to clean them.

GF gal wishing she were in a cabana drinking a Cotton-tini!

I am in the kitchen making mac & cheese for Jo and her friend...a different friend...there goes DATE day....

Mandy, that plate sounds precious. I have a few things like that the girls have made me....I love them...but they always tease me that it's "bathroom art" I admit...a lot of their school clay projects wind up in bathrooms. You know...displayed - but kind of out of the way. I am bad. Jojo made me a beautiful glitter heart card with a poem...she loves me more than chocolate chip mint icecream.

Well..."dinked around"...is not point worthy. That is NOT my REAL word. My real word works better...and makes more sense.....but it must be used sparingly.

The other friend's mom called me this morning to say sorry....omg...I felt like the loser mom not even getting up! ANd...UNREAL...so here I thought it was like a 3 am pickup...it was midnight!!!! OMG....this nightowl is still recovering from that trip!!!!! I cannot believe I was crashed asleep at midnight!!! THAT is LAME!!!

No Zack today....they slept til he had to get ready for work...he took his buddy home...went to work. This house is crazy.

My mother is taking my kids to AZ for spring break. That is that. NO Disneyland....no WDW......I am not going. She wanted me to go to AZ too....but it's better if I don't. The girls will have fun with grandma though.

Mandy....so it seems kids are a pita no matter the age. Bummah about the adventure at Lowes...it sounds like it was a wonderful day up til then.

Maxie...OMG...DON"T SAY LUCY is TURNING TEENAGER!!! I cannot handle two!!! VERY VERY SCARY. She was always my Miss Perfect easy kid.

Well...it snowed....the place is white...sunny and COLD. Looks prettier than brown and gray and muck....but still...no palm trees, blue skies and breezes.....
