YES...there will be a trip next year. I am wearing my hoodie now.....It was sitting here and I was cold. I have to have help with my card......

LOL...and they just called and asked Z to come in at 4...so he is there now...he looks miserable.

Maxie...duh...I forgot about champagne. OH ..I LOVE champagne. Thanks for the reminder. And I only like beer when it's icy cold. When it goes warm...bleh. YES...Kelly is REALLY looking forward to those pineapple drinks. We have that in our plan. I love pineapple....so i am sure I wll love a lapu lapu.

Deb: Yes, use real butter in the coffee cake and for the crumb topping. The whole recipe calls for 3 sticks of butter. What I do is cream the room temp butter with the sugar first in my kitchen aid mixer, then I add all the wet ingredients, then add the rest of the dry. Add the flour slowly there's a lot of flour. For the crumbs, it calls for melted butter. So what I do is put the butter in an oven safe bowl and stick it in the oven while the cake is cooking. In a few mins, melted butter. It's really a simple, fool-proof cake. The worst part is convinceing people you made it

Evening Everyone!

Did all of my shopping have wings have Franks hot sauce lots and lots of butter....need it for the coffee cake too....no getting my cholesterol checked any time soon!!!!

Did a little me shopping too....DD needed a new pair of sneakers and momma found some too....really cute Michael Kors black patent leather sneaker type shoe...sounds kind of weird but they are adorable...DH asked where my bowling ball was!!! What a wise guy....

Its soooo cold...winter...

Channing One of my favorite warm weather drinks is a nice slushy pina colada....or any kind of daquiri...do these fall into the fluffy drink category........ Enjoy movie night with your girls...

evening gals!

i just realized how tired i was so this is gonna be a drive by post.....

i am making my list fro packing ..... i also have to get all the kids clothes together for the whole time i am gone down to socks and underwear plus i am fixing a few more meals so DH will be set while i am gone. HE can totally do it all with out me but i want to ensure i make the 2nd annual trip. I am doing my best so he will have a smooth sailing weekend! Oh and i almost forgot i will secretly stock the back fridge with his fav beer so he will be able to relax after the kids are in bed!

bad news... my chain to my necklace broke..... i am going to try and put it on another chain but i am bummed... it has become my signature piece.

No plans here for Superbowl! DH was suppose to work and he doesnt now but he does have to be to work at 5 AM tomorrow so he said whaterahhhh! Why is packing so difficult? Honest, I have things pulled out but most of it doesnt go together. I need a pair of jean capris...Looks like more shopping....I didnt get anything yesterday!

We are watching the Super Bowl tonight but it will be just us....no big party...but I'm excited because I just love football.....GO CARDINALS . But after today no football until next season .......what will we do .

I cleaned up the kitchen, cleaned one bathroom and have my first load of laundry in. I have to get something done today, I am going back to work Tuesday.

We are supposed to get more snow on Tuesday. Is this winter ever going to end. I don't remember the last time I saw grass in my yard. I WANT WARM WEATHER AND SUNSHINE. Did I ever mention that I hate winter.

well I was awake abut 8 but I just laid in bed and read my new book...my last one was too awful and I hate to quit a book but I had to. I hate when that happens...I feel like a loser when I don't finish a book. But it was by one of my favorite authors Iris Johansen...so I kept thinking IT'S GONNA GET GOOD....and 3/4 way thru - which has taken me since CHRISTMAS because it's a tortureful read....I thru in the towel and started a new one! I hate when good authors go BAD.

Mandy! bummer about the chain.....that stinks. I think that's a great plan about making life easy on the dh.....that's thinking ahead.


Siobhan...I bought two pairs of jean capris for this trip.....but I bought them on clearance at EB. I don't know that I will wear them though.....the weather is changing continuously so I guess I won't know until Tuesday.... I always pack last minute anyway or esle I forget what I packed....and where I put it.

Do you think the stores will be croweded or empty today? I have a Target run ....I can wait til tomorrow or go today.....whatcha think?

I passed out at 930 last night!! That is weird for me. Jojo wanted to go into my bed at 9 and watch I LOVE LUCY....so we did...and I was in and out of sleep...she was awake til midnight. They had me watch "Luck of the Irish" on Disney channel last night....I was STRUGGLING with my stupid book....so had 1/2 and eye on each. The movie won...dumb as it was it was better than that painful book.

Good luck with the recipes all. Have a fun Superbowl day. I told Kelly I like the Steelers because I really love Terry Bradshaw. She didn't like that.

Maxie...LOL.....they have hammocks at the Poly so we are set. I wouldn't want anybody to just pass out on the beach.....gators...

Morning Gals......

I was gone all day yesterday...first with a job fair for teaching then scrapping until 11pm

OK i do have awesome news...................

Here it is.............................

My mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma (large bcell) back in Oct...she had massive amounts of tumors in her body along with a huge one on her skull that was giving her excrutiating headaches (thats why she went to the dr in the first place)....anyway long story short it has been a loooonnng 3 months with her going through chemo and then a tumor setting in her hip making her unable to walk. Lymphoma is an extremely aggressive fast growing type of cancer that does respond well to chemo......
On Friday we went to the Dr. for the results of her PET scan and she is completely clean....NO TUMORS or ANY SIGN OF CANCER! Can you believe it?? And this is only after 4 treatments!!! The Dr. said this is good news for the future....He said she is in remission and might be eventually cured (65% of people diagnosed with lymphoma can be cured) She did have her round of chemo on Friday and one more for a total of 6...and that looks like it! And he said we can go on vacay to Disney!!! (this is from our postponed trip in Nov ) She is still supposed to use her walker till she get strength back in her leg, and we will take her wheelchair to Disney cause that will be lots of walking.....It truly is a miracle.....

DH is doing LOTS better...getting around...Dr said physical therapy next week...his will also be a longer recovery due to his arthritis in that knee....

WOW that's it here....and 3 more days til I need to get going doing laundry and packing!!! I have done NONE!

DAwn...that is miraculous. I believe in miracles...but it's easy to have hope when it's not your own mom.... I have hope for Lucy's RP though. I have seen enough to feel comfortable that miracles happen. I am so glad your mom got one. Good thing you came on here and broke the awesome news or I might have exploded keeping it in.

My dog...who never says BOO about anything...was just sitting in front of the fridge and made a low Mmmmmmmmmmmm sound.....i looked at her and was like WTH? And she wagged her tail at me....she was waiting for her sausage. I bought a big box of turkey sausage from Costco...and every morning I make three....2 for Jojo and 1 for Tatum....and this morning Jojo didn't ask for it. But Tatum did.
