OMG I am so tired!!! Monday is going to stink. I am so NOT excited to go back to work.
Ok- I have to get moving. Do not let me chat today! Until at least afternoon. If you see me here make me go away. This house is not going to clean itself. (SOMEONE PLEASE INVENT A SELF CLEANING HOUSE!!! I WILL PAY!!!!)

ps - scrapbooking- i would love to, I wish you lived closer Kel, or that we all lived near Dawn, she's the resident scrapbook and Basin expert...yeah, i want to live near Dawn!

Hey all!

Yup the New England girls are moving to Chicago! Good idea!!! Wait...why dont we all move to Wendy???? It is warmer there! One day...maybe!

I keep having coughing attacks at night! It is driving me insane!!! I might have to go back to the doctor???

I cleaned for the better part of the day yesterday and it looks like nothing got done! I hate that! My DH walked in the door and I said I will have you know I have been cleaning all day and you cant even tell! I went through the toy bin...3 bags of trash! Then the book case and the arts and crafts shelves! It felt good to do that but all that work and my house is still a disaster!!

I have a party this afternoon....Sigh....

Kelly......I know what you mean.....scrapping does take alot of money and time . They do have lots of cool stuff but that just leads to spending a ton of money.....money that can be spent on Disney vacations . I have thought about getting started but just haven't done it yet.


Shel........I need to clean today too but I soooo DON'T want to . The boys are still sleeping but once they get up it'll be time to make breakfast.......who knows if I'll get any cleaning done . We should invent a self cleaning house and not only would we never have to clean ourselves.........we'd be millionaires .


Siobhan........Great idea for all you New England gals to move to Chicago . I'm not in IL but I'm close enough . OR.....all of us gals move to Orlando where it's warm and we're right there at Disney . I hope your cough gets better soon and you don't have to make another trip to the doctor .


Maxie.....Sorry about your car . That would totally freak me out big time . I hope nothing major is wrong and you get it back soon .

Maxie...i have a funny story about a mouse in the car....I made some puppy chow for my gf and had it in a ziplock Well she was eating it in the car that night and left it in there for the next day at school.....when she got in the car that morning the bag was ripped and a trail of puppy chow on the floor of her van. So she cleaned it up and saw MOUSE TURDS! OMG she was so freaked out thats all she could talk about! Then she had to drive the van home but it was one of the days we had a snowstorm and so she had to be in that van for 1 hr instead of 15 min with a mouse roaming around! I'll tell you what there is no way I would even get in that van... i cant stand mice (except of Mickey of course )

Good morning everyone!

Lisa: How was the hockey game? One of DF's brothers is a big hockey fan, and I know lots of people around here that are. We live about an hour north of STL, and people there are just rabid about sports of all kinds. I guess I didn't pick that up despite living in the STL area all my life (except for the two weeks I lived in NJ before I realized the job was not for me )

Channing: Did you survive the sleepover? I hope there wasn't any drama

Deb: Your new avatar is super cute! I love Mickey! My dad arranged for M&M to come to the wedding as a surprise for everyone, so I am thrilled! One of my projects for the day is to make autograph cards they can sign for all of our guests

Dawn: I think I am going to do a wedding scrapbook. I have been wanting to try it out for a while now. When we had a lot of people coming, I bought an album that I embellished to match our colors and theme that I was going to use as a guest book. Now I don't need a guest book, so I guess I will try to use it as my first scrapbook . Also, I was reading about the teenage metabolism and had to laugh. DF and I went out to dinner with some of our customers last night to one of the casinos here that has an All You Can Eat Filet Mignon buffet (it's really good). Well, one has a 14 year old son. That boy ate 4 filets, a bunch of mini sloppy joe sandwiches, rolls, various sides like mac and cheese, etc, and two heaping plates of dessert along with multiple glasses of soda I'm glad I don't have to pay to feed him

I think I would too. Vonnie made us an ADORABLE scrap book of many of our trips. I LOVE IT! That is a cool hobby but the mess would get me.....Lucy and I made Vonnie a few pages for HER scrapbook and the mess.....

Lots of peeps have somebody come in weekly and do it but I would feel like a loser. And it is weirdorama to me to have some stranger roaming thru the house......while I am home or gone...either way....kinda creeps me out. Although probably if I took the plunge and had it done I'd be like WHAT THE **** HAVE I BEEN WASTING ALL THIS TIME FOR??!!?!? I'd love it.

NO DRAMA HERE!!! It's been WONDERFUL!! All the girls are getting along....they are nice to the littler ones. They made themselves scrambled eggs and muffins for bfast.....I bet they'd clean my house if I asked them to.

I did sleep. I was up til about 2, but I read for a bit and just couldn't focus on the words.....so figured my day was done.

I think the girls are going home about noon so after that it's unChristmas the house day.

Hi Gals!

I went to a scrap booking party once...did a sample scrap book page ...LOVED it!!...bought all kinds of stuff...scissors...special stickers...pens...spent a bundle...and never used it...
No scrap booking for me....

Maxie If there is another mouse (which I hope there isnt!!)I agree you need a car cat!!!Hope its nothing big (or little... )

Sign me up for a self cleaning house too please (some neater kids wouldnt be so bad either... )

Wendy.......I think I have you beat on getting "started" on scrapbooking . I bought a Mickey album on our first trip to Disney which was in 2001 ......and still have not done anything with it . It's in a closet along with a TON of pics I need to go through . I keep telling myself "one of these days" .


Chan......Glad the sleepover went well . DSs didn't get up until almost NOON . Monday is getting closer and closer and I keep thinking of what a nightmare it is going to be that morning . But then I keep telling myself that once they're all out the door.....it's coffee and chatting time for me .

Hello girls

Just stopping in quick to say Hi

OMG!!! We're talking about scrapbooking...I don't think this thread could get any more perfect!!! I love scrapbooking!!! I just updated my TR so, that when I get to scrapbooking this trip I'll have some recollection of what happened when...this should really help. It probably won't get started for years...still haven't even finished 2007's trip. Oh well...I WILL get there!!!

But, I have now spent so much time updating that, that I have to move on...to laundry and the next game. My 11yoDD had a game at 7am...and has another at 4:30pm, as does my 13yoDD. They have three more games tomorrow and a bday party...AGHHH!!! We're officially back to reality!!!

It was another mouse. There was a huge nest. They cleaned it all out. I told them they really didn't have to tell me about the mouse, just make up something I can live with. A car cat sounds like a great idea. I am going to hang a NO VACANCY sign on my car. What's the chances of that happening twice in 2 months?

You would get used to it real quick.There is nothing like coming home from work or vacation to a CLEAN house. I had a fantastic cleaning lady for at least 12 years until July when she moved to New Hampshire. Still hoping she comes back. She went to Florida a couple of years ago and only stayed 1 year, so am hopiing she gets tired of NH. I tried 2 others while she was gone and neither one was any good. It is very hard to find a good one. So now I am not even looking and trying to do it myself. I need to lower my standards. I'm not very good at cleaning either.

I am all for moving south. South Carolina sounds very nice. I'm in.

OK...taking a deChristmas break.

Maxie, that is awesome. I HOPE you find another great lady! My mom had a nice Polish cleaning lady for years. Same thing though...it took her a lot of trial and error before she found the "right" one. My mom is a clean neat freak though. I am sooo not as picky. I definitely lowered my standards....not that I ever had very high ones ...but now I am very moderate. Our house is lived in.....three kids and friends, a big floppy dog, and me that isn't a cleaning fan & has better things to do..... But my mom has come over and asked if my vacuum is broken. I am NOT that bad...but my mom is.

omg..I forgot a funny story...we had these chipmunks that got into our basement!!!!! We still have crazy chipmunks but not in the house anymore....but we didn't want to kill these guys so we got the nice cages that you can release them into the wild with....somebody said not to just put them back into our yard or they'd come on back in...or find another way in....so DH drives them to work...he passes lots of fields etc...and pulls over to let them out...THEY HAD ALREADY ESCAPED!!! They were LOOSE in his CAR!!! He didn't realize it until he pulled over....then he was in trouble because he had an important meeting...so he had to get to work on time.. So he left them LOOSE in his car (OMG crazy but that's him CANT MISS A MEETING) to make this meeting.....after the meeting he checked on them, and they had chewed some stuff up..nothing horrid but they were naughty...and he let them out in the parking lot...he just had to open all the doors and step away and wait. Never heard from them again....maybe they made it to MA to visit Maxie.

Amy!! HOly Cow...how did I miss M&M coming?!?!!? VERY SWEET of your dad. What a fun surprise for the guests. Oh ...and to tell you where my mind set is...when I read Deb's reply I pictures the jumbo m&m guy from the commercials coming over....I was like "Huh?"

Deb....DS looked pretty trashed today at noon...I said why do you look so trashed? He said because he stayed up til 4. (WTH?) So...if he said 4...you know it's closer to 5 am. AND HE IS WORKING TODAY til 7 pm. Serves him right.

MONDAY is gonna hurt in more ways then one.

Chan......Too funny about the M&M guy from the commercials . I keep thinking of how awesome that is going to be for Amy's guests.....I would love that . And on the cleaning lady........I've always told DH I could never have a cleaning lady because like you I would be freaked out at having a stranger in my house when I was HOME let alone if I was gone . I guess I'll just have to deal with it and keep cleaning myself .

OMG.....your DS has got be DRAGGING . I always tell my two....SERVES YA RIGHT if you wanna stay up until all hours of the night (or morning )......you pay the consequences the next day . But when you think about it, they're not the only ones who deal with it as WE have to deal with all their CRAP from them being so tired .


How's the de-Christmas-ing coming ? When I dropped DS off at my mom's Tuesday on my way to breakfast I was like "wow.....this is weird seeing Christmas stuff still up"......I had had mine down for 4 days already by then .


Maxie......... on the mouse . I think I would be looking to buy a new car about now . Did they say (if they even have any clue) how they are getting into your car ???? That is too weird .
