Siobhan......Glad to hear you're feeling a little better . That's great that you had a nice time in Boston . Sorry your DH wasn't able to make it .....but it sounds like you and the kids had a great time . It's always nice to have little getaways now and then .


BlueSkies......Ya I'm an early bird today since DH had to go to work . But good thing it's the weekend so we can relax again for the next 2 days......like we haven't been doing that already . But Monday is going to be BRUTAL . DSs are STILL sleeping and it's 9:30 . They're never gonna make it up for school Monday morning .

Morning everyone!

Chan: That Crocs coupon code expired at 12/31 . Let me know if you find any new codes for 2009. I tried a search and couldn't find any, everything expired in 2008. They still had Mickey crocs in my DS4 size. He can live in those shoes.

Siobhan: That sounds like such a fun way to spend the new year! Glad your feeling better.

Sheli: Let me know if the big girl bed works, we ordered DS1 a Thomas train bed to get him out of our bed. It's still a toddler bed, but he's a huge train fan - I thought that would work better for him. I'm praying he loves it and stays put all night! He's our night walker.

Lisa: I made the risotto the other night. It was delicious! But let me tell ya, my arm was killing me from stirring it!! I had to sit on our massage chair for 20 mins afterwards. I had such a pain in between my shoulder blades.

Maxie: I've never seen a bear, but DH says he has. There was a bear sighting on DS4's last day of camp last summer. They had a BBQ at the outdoor pavillion and thankfully it was as at the end of the day. Security arrived to say there was a bear sighting so everyone had to leave. I was up there alone with the boys and our home is not too far from the pavillion, so where do I take the kids?? To the outlets! Didn't want to go home with a bear roaming around

Lcaemom: That's fun to meet Disney people when you least expect to! Looking forward to reading your TR. I don't write my own, but enjoy reading others.

The I-Joy from Sharper Image. DH just HAD to have it. It's not the expensive leather model, it's the plain cloth one in an ugly eggplant color. It's THE place everyone who visits has to sit

I actually just saw it for half the price we paid at Costco!

HI, all!! Let me see what I can remember from reading.....

Lisa that plate looks YUMMO!!!! I love that food. Although here in teh wilds of northern IL I don't ever get it....my step mom is from MS though.

Shel...OMG...I had bad insomnia again last night ...I didn't see the sunrise though at least. Staying up late is the only way I'd ever see the sunrise because I sure can't GET UP early enough...oh my Gawd....I had something funny bad happen too...late last night....i can't post here...it's TMI..but nothing good happens after 3 am. I think once I have to get up at 6 am on Monday my trouble sleeping at night will be a thing of the past.

Lcaemom....omg..that is a total riot about the Disney icecream parlor and the guy. Lucky You!!!! I am sorry about your dog....I KNOW exactly what you mean about "seeing" him...etc....I was like that for the whole 2 yrs before we did get Tatum...I saw my Sammie everywhere. It's kinda spooky!! Oh ...darn...I was gonna ask you if you wanted a bunny. He was so well loved for the first couple years....now he is relegated to the laundry room and I am his caretaker. He really needs a better home. I am NOT crazy about anythign small...I like big fluffy....no rodent type things at all..... But he is SWEET.

My comforter is on maybe it's 8th round in the drier....I am gonna just take it out and hang it over a railing. ugh.

Dawn! I love JJill, too....I HATE HATE HATE their website though....they let you put stuff into your cart and then when you go to pay they make it difficult because many itmes are really NOT there..... THey lost me as a customer after a few times of that crap. I'd spend an hour browsing and shopping and then be all excited only to find out that 1/2 my stuff is NOT truely available.

Siobhan! Glad to see you're feeling better....we missed ya last night....although I was on the phone with V for most......

I did find out the GF decorations are coming down TODAY. I talked to Marci too!! She is having a ball.

Mare...hmm...bummer...I just used that code LAST NIGHT!! darn...sorry. If I do see another I will post it.

OK...I have to get myself moving.....I have to drop the girls off at their friend's house...and then run around a bit, clean the house...pick them up....clean the house....and they are having 6 girls over between them. No big deal. It will be fun.

Dawn......I totally know how you feel about being broke from Christmas . I always say I'm not going to overspend but that goes out the window as soon as I start shopping .....then it really hits home about now when it's all said and done . I hope your meds are still working and you continue to feel better .

I totally know what you all mean about the overspending. We did cut back some this year but when you see it on paper ,it doesn't look like it! EEK!

The only good part is that we don't buy much in Jan. or Feb. I don't start buying spring/summer clothes till March or April. And winter is so short here that we don't need anymore winter clothes, so I'm usually not tempted by the winter sales.

Mare: Great way to avoid the bear. Of course, back in the day, we just stood around and watched them. We kept our distance, but nobody left. They also kept their distance from us. They would usually climb a tree if they saw any people. Have fun in the Poconos this weekend.

Siobhan: Did you go to First Night or just hang at the hotel? It would have been too cold for me to venture out. We decided that the Chicago gals shouldn't have all of the fun and the Boston gals should meet too.

BlueSkies: When will you be in Boston again?

I didn't overspend at Christmas, unless you count the Disney trip.

Channing Having a sleepover...I guess it'll be another night with no sleep... whenever DD has had one it takes the kids forever to get to sleep!!

Siobhan Sounds like you had a great weekend ringing in the New Year...glad youre feeling better too... Boston is one of our favorite places for a weekend getaway too...

I always stick to my budget... during the holidays...on our Disney vacations...all the time...just ask my DH

Channing Just reading about ordering from JJill online...I call to place my orders they'll tell you right then if the item is available or not...things like that...also I always have questions about something or other...you know does the fabric have some give to it... I am a big fan and they do have an incredible sale going on...

Blue Skies...I used to call them......maybe that would be the solution. I just never EVER have luck with their sales....I get sick of hearing "Sorry...that isn't available" ....and the thing is..when you're online (I so love online shopping and don't have this issue with ANY other merchant EVER!!!!)...it says ITEM IN STOCK..and puts it into your cart...but if somebody else puts it in theirs and pays before you do..you are SOL! But...I am no longer a fan of theirs....I have bene burned too many times. Plus the store by me...omg...talk about UPPITY!!!! I hate to go in there...and if I have to return an item....I DREAD IT.

OK..off to catch up! I feel like I've been gone for days!

omg...you guys were quiet today......

Well...I went to TJ Maxx...bought myself a cute bracelet. Went to Target....bought "Horton Hears a Whoo".....for the sleepover...HOPING IT PUTS THEM TO SLEEP I snoozed thru the whole dumb movie in the theater...even with a mega Diet Coke handy. I hated it....I bought snackies and treats for the girls....and? Hm...not sure what else. Managed to spend too much though. I always to at Target. Just odds and ends that add up fast. Then I went to the grocery store.

Boring day, but it was nice because I was on my own. The girls were over at a friend's house.

Now...I have to bake brownies and choc chip muffins. So....I will talk to ya all later!! Hope you're having good nights!

OH..yes...about the overspending....yep. Christmas gets me good. It's unreal how much stuff...but it's all kind of hidden in shipping boxes here and there in the basement....but when I see all the stuff together under the tree (IT doesn't EVEN FIT under the tree!) on Christmas morning I feel sooo ......ugh. CRAZY! That is the word. Why did I do that?!?!?! OMG.....but its fun.

Evening Gals

Not too much going on here tonight......just watching tv after cleaning up dinner dishes . DS just had a friend come over and both of them might be going to another buddy's house so that's our excitement for tonight .


BlueSkies.......Mickey is such a cute avatar isn't he . I wanted a new one so DS13 had to do it for me as I'm computer challenged . He had it changed in about a minute . I kept asking him how he knew how to do all that so quick .


Wendy......I know....seeing all the money spent on paper after Christmas is SCARY .


Chan......How's the sleepover going.....or have the girls gotten there yet ? I ALWAYS spend way too much when I go to Target . I always tell DH it's better if I just stay home because I just spend too much when I'm out . And Target is the worst because there's so much I don't need that I get anyway . DS googled mickey mouse and that's where I found that avatar......I love it . He also set up an account for me on his laptop with the Sorcerer's hat as my desktop background . I just can't get enough of Disney and Mickey Mouse .

Hi, Deb! The girls are all here....I said "AFTER SEVEN"....because we usually do pizza or whatever but I just wasn't up for that jazz so Jojo's little friend had dinner with us early (we usually eat late anyway) but Lucy's came later. I just got the brownies in the oven. The muffins are made.

They are NOISY girls today. Too many days stuck indoors .......and it just occurred to me....a week from tonight is Jojo's bday sleep over. She wants the girls to make their own pizzas......not sure about that one yet. She will have 8 or 9 over.

We are taking our Xmas stuff down tomorrow. Big project ahead....so I better get a good night sleep.

I am looking through all my pictures in a HUGE box cause Im scrapping tomorrow....ALL DAY! My girlfriends want to go all day and night...I know I will not be doing that

Deb...my meds are working although I still really have no voice....Im telling ya my kids are loving this!

Chan...oh do I remember those days of girl sleepovers...UGH there was always a fight! That sounds kind of fun about the pizzas...how bout if you have mini crusts already done and they can just add toppings? I would be like you though with the mess and clean up!
When the boys have sleepovers, I used to make pancakes or waffles in the morning...NO MORE i just go buy bagels and cc...they eat almost a dozen! Dont ya wish you had their metabolisms???? I would be slim and trim!

ME TOO!!! I was doing so good today until I broke out the snacks for the kids....I haven't had m&ms in a long time.....uh oh.

yep..that's why I made the CC muffins....making waffles or pancakes for 7 girls is not good for me in the morning..... ....Lucy and her friends like to cook anyway...so they will scramble up some eggs or make French Toast for the little ones, too! I can sleep in!!

OMG...I could use with NO DRAMA here. We've had enough drama at my house for a while. Everybody better get along!

Maybe I will buy crusts ...and have the girls just dec them out....I usually make my own...not sure if that is part of Jojo's fun....she HATES pizza... but if she makes it herself she will eat it....I can't believ that's what she requested for her bday party dinner....

That mega scrapbooking party sounds fun!!! I would even do it and I don't scrapbook!!!!! HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!

Hey Gals


Chan......I hope you're able to get a good nights sleep tonight with all those girls . DS's plans changed so I have his buddy sleeping over here tonight.....but they've been playing guitar, watching tv, and surfing on DS13's laptop....so things are quiet here . I hear ya about not wanting to do all that cooking for breakfast . DH would always have both DSs invite about 7 or 8 buddies over in the summer time and they would sleep in tents in the backyard, have a bondfire, and just hang out........then he'd make a big pancake breakfast the next morning.......for all those kids . And then I was left to clean it up . I'm so glad the boys are older now and not into that much anymore cuz that was HORRIBLE.....and then having all of them wandering around my house after being outside all night long really got me going . But I've never had the treat of having a bunch of girls........wonder what's worse .


Dawn......I'm glad you're feeling better . Your voice will be back in no time and then you can let your kids know what they've missed all this time . Have fun scrapping tomorrow . My sister has been scrapbooking for a few years now and loves it . She got my mom started about 6 months ago and she's tried to get me to go but I haven't taken that first step yet ......I know once I got started I would become addicted and I have SO MANY pics I would have to go through which would take me FOREVER . But I do think scrapping is a great way to do pics....makes for some great looking albums . And I agree with Chan......a night of scrapping would be fun just to go and hang out with friends even if you didn't scrap . Have a great time and enjoy your day/night out .
