Channing: You all could totally have crashed my wedding! Df wouldn't even mind either. He said he was going to look for people to fill seats so it didn't look like "we smell bad or something" :rolleyes1 :lmao: Oh and Culvers = :crazy2:

Kristin: So cute that your son said that! I'm sure he will be thrilled when you tell him :goodvibes

Mandy: Sorry to hear about all the sickness! I hope everyone feels better soon!

I just checked the 10 day forcast (like that is reliable, they can't even get it right one day out around here  .) It is supposed to be mostly sunny, 0% chance of precipitation, high 73 and low 52 on our wedding day as of right now! I hope it stays that way! It is also supposed to be like uppers 30s low 40s and dry when we fly out from here, and when all of our guests do, so I am keeping my fingers crossed! I'm trying to do about a month's worth of stuff in a week. I am about to just throw my hands up and say "oh well" to whatever dosen't get done! It will still be here (unfortunatly) when we get back :rotfl:

That's the spirit, Amy!!!!!!!!!! :bride:

I guess now I need to find some of those Mickey head shaped balloons like the commercial :rotfl: I bought him Happy Birthday Ears with his name on them, an autograph book, an EPCOT passport and a stuffed Sorceror Mickey to wrap up gift basket style to give him as his bday present at his party to announce we are going. I guess I can but it in a big box and put the helium balloons in there too so that when he opens it, the balloons float out like the commercial and he gets his gift :scratchin

I love surprises!! :yay:

Sorry you aren't feeling well!!!!!!! My tooth hurts in empathy right now!! Are they going to have to pull it?

I was thinking about that (he sleeps like the dead, especially in WDW) but I don't want him to start asking how Mickey got in the room when we are there etc. He will be 6 and I don't want to wreck Santa for him, KWIM?

My other idea was a big gift bag. Last May, Mickey left presents in the original gift bag each day. He usually forgets to even look at it in the AM, since we are rushing to get out. I am thinking that if I put something in it at night while he sleeps and he forgets to look until the following evening....

Yes i have to have it pulled.... i have tried to save it but it is not worth trying anymore (already had 3 diff procedures done to this one tooth)! I am on antibiotics fro 10 days then i get to go back and have it pulled! :scared: I am gonna try and wait till after the Feb trip.

I totally KWYM about Santa. DS6 had been asking and asking about Santa for like 6 months and then he found all the presents. WE had to tell him. It was bad :sad1: HE cried. Then we got a book about ST. Nick and his life and explained to him about the spirit of St. Nick ect.... We told him now he knows the secret and has to keep the gig going for his sisters, he did great and i think he still kinda believes because he did NOT see gifts that were in the garage in a box and he whispered in my ear "where did theses come from?" after opening them. :santa:

The big gift bag sounds like a good plan! :thumbsup2

Afternoon Gals :goodvibes

Boy you gals have been chatty :rotfl:. I finally made myself do something today......I did all my ironing and have my 3rd load of :laundy: in the washer :thumbsup2.

Shel.....I'll have to give the Segway tour some thought.....sounds like you really enjoyed it :). I love the pics :goodvibes. I didn't know WL had a tour too :confused3?

Kristin......Love the cake pic.....thanks for posting it :). I wish we were going to be there over our anniversary/DH's bday in June so we could get an anniversary/bday cake :rolleyes1. But I guess we'll have to make it there over that time next year . How cute about DS saying he wants to go to Disney for his birthday.....he is going to be so excited once he finds out that he IS :yay:. And great idea about the balloons flying out of the box when DS opens it on his birthday party:.

Chan.....Don't feel bad about Jojo picking Culvers......I know EXACTLY what you mean :sad2:. We always take the boys out to dinner on their actual birthday and let them pick where to eat and DS15 ALWAYS picks places like that :headache:. I tell him we are not going there and to pick a nice sit down place to go :rotfl:. And then there's DS13 who picks places like Maggiano's and Wildfire :thumbsup2.

Amy......ONLY 9 MORE DAYS :cool1: :dance3: :cool1:. And great attitude on things to get done :thumbsup2......they will be there when you get back so go and enjoy your wedding and honeymoon .

Mandy......Sorry to hear about all the sickness you're dealing with . I hope everyone feels better soon . Good luck with the tooth pulling :grouphug:.

Deb

If anyone is looking to go to T-Rex Cafe in the next 6 months they are now taking ADR's!! You don't go through Disney Dining, but rather call the restaurant direct. The number is 407 828 TREX. I just booked for DS's 6th bday dinner!!!

Has anyone done Star Wars Weekend???

Apparantly we will be ther for the last weekend of it. We would do DHS rides on 1 day and spend one day over there just doing the SWW stuff. Anyone ever gone? Is it worth the crowds??

Kristin, It can get crowded and like Mare said there are many adult fans but there are lots of kids too. Alot of peeps just come for the Star Wars stuff and don't make the rides as big a priority. You sound like you have a good plan of starting early in the morning because the character lines can get pretty long. My nephew got picked to do the Jedi Training Academy which is held throughout the day. Your DS might like that. Also, the parade is neat and has all the Star Wars characters plus whoever the special guest is that weekend.

We've been there for the last 6 years for the first or second week in June and August weather is definitely more hot and humid IMHO. June has afternoon showers /thunderstorms that help cool things down. :goodvibes

Kristen: At at bridal shower I went to years ago, the bride opened this HUGE dishwasher-size box and out came a dozen balloons holding up a fancy nightgown. Maybe you can attach the balloons to the Mickey and he could be holding a sign saying You're going to WDW.

Deb: You don't have to be at WDW on your actual anniversary to celebrate. You can order a speciality cake yourself from the cake hotline or get the $12 one when checking in to a restaurant. Just tell them at the podium you want to a cake and what you want written on it. You can also request anniversary pins upon checkin. Our tenth anniversary is just two weeks after my birthday, but we're going to celebrate it one night in WDW. Many, many people celebrate things at WDW not on the specific day.

Are you doing any of the Grand Gathering special events?

The dessert reception in Epcot sounds fun!

The other Segway tour is not in WL it's FW. You meet under the BBQ Pavillion. My DH asked to do that one again since it's a boat ride from MK and close to GF.

This describes the tours:

Mandy: Feel better! :goodvibes

OMG! Really! I would never last in August then:rotfl2:

Mickey is too heavy to actually float in the air.

I might make one of the invitations, just like the commercial and tie it to one though...

I need to do a google search and find those balloons!

Hey Gals!! :goodvibes

So Lcae and I met up today!!! :yay: Can you believe Goodies was closed!!!! :headache: I was upset but that just means we will have to go back soon! Lcae is very nice and REAL! :rotfl: We had a great time chatting but unfortunately my kids were only entertained by going to the bathroom! :rotfl: Great to meet you, L!

I went to kids clothing store after but only sold up to 6x! DD wears a 6X now but I am not buying her anything else for winter! The owner of the store really missed a good sale from me......:rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a great day! :yay:

Kristin - your son is so lucky!

Mandy - I'm sorry about your tooth, my dh can fill your pain. Last week he went to the dentist for a cleaning and found out that one of his front teeth is decaying-from the inside so only the xray showed it. The dentist says it will have to be pulled and something (?) done within the next year. DH was not happy, he is a very good brusher and flosser, but soft teeth run in his family and as he gets older, things are "going wrong". I'm very sorry you are going through this.

Deb-Think about the Segway. I did it like Shelley did in Epcot a few years ago with DH. It was a lot of fun and we learned some interesting facts about the countries with the guide.

Hope everyone has a good evening, I need to stop by the store and pick up some cream cheese so I can make a cheesecake for my sil, her birthday is tomorrow and I told her I'd make it for her present. - Lisa

Lisa - Thats nice of you to make a cheesecake for your sister's b-day!
Is it cold and rainy up there? It is absolutely miserable down here today!!

Mare- We live in South Carolina and can definitely take the heat and humidity, but the one time we went it August it was so unbelievably hot and humid and with all the concrete , it was pretty unbearable!

Siobhan - how fun that you and Lcaemom met up! What is Goodies? Can't wait to shop at WDW/DTD in 3 weeks!!

That is me! My dental hygienist told me when i was 18 that i would have problems! My dad has soft teeth too! When I started having kids is when my problems started!

AND they are now charging to receive & deliver boxes...it depends on teh size/weight etc...

OK..off to see what I missed...I was busy today!

OH Amy!! THANKS so much for your opinion!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: It's either there or Around the Clock....ugh....last year she REALLY wanted Culvers and we twisted her arm and bribed her to go to Around the Clock instead....pathetic HEY! That forecast sounds fabu!!! I hope it stays looking sunny and clear.

Mandy,
I hope you all get better soon!!

Lisa
, the one time I made cheesecake I accidentally put my Kitchenaid up way to high and splattered choc cheesecake gunk all over my kitchen. I have never ever attempted cheesecake again.

OK, I am a bad, bad girl. I just put a pan of brownies into the oven :rolleyes1

Yummo....i am making brownies for Jojo's bday.

Siobhan and Laecmom!!! BUMMER that the B&C was closed! Nice you got to meet though! Oh ya...that store owner doesn't know what she missed out on by not selling up to 8s. :rotfl:

Deb...kids are weird. YES..there is a Segway tour at Ft. WL....it sounded fun like off roading with the Segways with the large mega tires...but it was lame oh. My guys were underwhelmed.

PS>...AMERICAN IDOL STARTS TONIGHT!! TWO HOUR PREMIER!!!!

TTYL,
Chan

We don't care much for AI here ( I know, right?)

But the Biggest Loser is on and I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!

Evening Gals ;)

It is BITTERLY COLD out :cold:.....and it's only supposed to get worse :scared:. I can't stand this weather and we still have atleast another 2 months of it :headache:. Spring can't get here soon enough :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Siobhan....I'm glad you and Lcaemom got to meet :). I'm hoping I can meet up again with the IL gals as I had so much fun when we met for breakfast :goodvibes.

Chan.....Did your parents make it in without any trouble :confused3???

Mare......I may just do a cake for our anniversary/DH's birthday as we arrive just 6 days after the actual day .

Hope everyone has a good night :cloud9:.

Deb :flower3:

Just wanted to check in quick...need to get to American Idol...but, just finished work!?!:scared1: Today was a long day...lots of patients with lots of issues. AGHHH!!! But, tomorrow I get my new work computer...that might speed things up...a little.

Had a great time with Siobhan!!! So sweet...so much Disney knowledge...adorable kids!!! Her DD is so outgoing and told me lots of cute stories while Siobhan was helping her DS in the bathroom. Goodies was closed so, we'll just have to plan a next time. The Custom Cup was just down the street...amazing coffee and pastry. This place reminded me of a mini "Friends" scene. Loved it...I'm thinking I might bring my DD back tomorrow...she just did a presentation at school about her dream business...this is almost exactly what she described. I think she'll love it.

Can't wait to get caught up with everyone...wish this job of mine didn't keep me so busy!
