Did this change recently? I remember they said you can do 3 or 4 hours one day at one park, then do another 3 or 4 at another park ON ANOTHER DAY. You have to have a minimum of 6 hours total. I think the only catch was it had to be consecutive days. Today and tomorrow - not today and next week.

I believe Praline did it. I think she split DHS and Epcot (I vaguely remember her TR with the details).


Oh Marvel, your snow might be coming after all! Chance of a Nor'Easter Thursday night into Friday! I hope not! Friday is DS's Holiday Concert at school. 9am!

Well my wife and i work bingo at the parish on this friday so lets hope the noreaster just hits Queens Sometimes those old ladies can be quite rough if thier favorite number isnt called

I feel like such an idiot... a guy just came into the store, called me by name,..said he stopped here because he needed directions and thought i worked around here...
I do not know who it is... he looked and sounded familiar but i dont have a clue...i can't remember.
I felt so dumb to say 'who are you?'
this is going to drive me crazy now....

Well I just had a guy call and yell at me about one of his medical bills not being paid. I then told him his settlement was going to be $27,000. Merry Freakin Xmas you idiot. Here we are going to pay you a lot of money for your bogus claim and you are griping about a 49.00 bill. Whatever happened to people being nice?? Ohhh I am so ready for a vacation! (by the way I do not think all claims are bogus but our Work Comp Laws in IL are awful and guess what...our lovely Governor who is now in jail is the one who made them and appoints the arbitrators who uphold them...imagine that!) So the moral of the story is come to Illinois and get injured...we will pay you thousands of dollars whether you were injured at work or not. Off my rant now! Our state sucks!! I hope they keep that dead beat in jail!

Hi ladies! I have a question and I know you GF experts can help me! We're arriving Saturday AM for our first stay at the GF!!! I can't wait. I booked a cabana (10-2) but I'm worried that we could arrive a little late ( our flight lands around 9am and then we take ME to the GF). Will they hold the cabana or should I call and let them know we could be late? I'd hate to lose it. I have 19 month old twins and I'd like to have a place to hang out until our room is ready. Any suggestions? TIA!

PS- I can't thank you guys enough for all of your info. I'm a big lurker but I've gotten lots of good tips from you!

Robin, have a wonderful time!!

They have your CC info....and basically that cabana is YOURS if you don't cancel 24 hrs out...so they will charge your CC whether you show or not. We have been late several times to the cabanas & never had any issues. There are signs out front of each with the name of the person that has it reserved. Just walk up and find your cabana and act cool like you know the drill. Somebody will be along to get your info and welcome you.

If you think you might be very late a call to wdw play might not be a bad idea just so you don't stress about it.

Have a magical trip & safe travels.


I just got back from a 2 hour band concert....OMG...it's like a blizzard here. Colin left work and it took him over 3 hours to get home!!! So...of course he ddin't make it to the concert.....like usual. But it is terrible weather.....I almost wonder if there will be school tomorrow....gonna have to watch the weather channel and see if more is on the way. AND....I guess since the governor is locked up nobody is bothering to clean the roads!!!!

Thanks so much (and stay warm!). I didn't think about them already having my credit card.

I just can't believe that it's almost here. We usually stay at the Poly but DH hates it. He's always wanted to stay at the GF so it should be a very special trip for us. Something tells me that we'll absolutely love it!

Now that I'm done worrying about the cabana I can move on to worrying/obsessing about my next "big" issue: cribs vs the daybed with siderails for the twins. I think we're going to be cramped with 2 cribs. (We have to do a queen room b/c of our 7 y/o). I don't want to be cramped but thought of those 2 little critters (um, I mean 2 little darlings) being able to get free is scary!

Chan & Dawn......You two crack me up about MR. GOVERNOR . I laugh every time I see him because his do is HILARIOUS.....he looks so ridiculous that I bust out laughing EVERY TIME I see him.....that CANNOT be his real hair .

No snow for us here.......the rain quit but it's VERY WINDY . I just told DH I should go unplug my inflatables so they don't get torn up. They're tethered down but this wind is wicked . I'm NOT looking forward to tomorrow.......I think the roads are going to be very icey and dangerous .


NJPluto.....Have a great trip . Enjoy all the beautiful decorations . We are booked for our first stay at the GF in June and we can't wait . We stayed at the Poly last year and loved it.....but I have a feeling we're going to love the GF more and not want to stay anywhere else .

Good Morning!

Deb it is wicked windy here! Woke me up, in fact! Chan I hope that snow doesnt come my way!

I shopped yesterday...Kelly yelled at me! Well I have to pack and get ready for Christmas. My Dh calls me Last Minute Lucy because I always wait til the last minute for gift buying! Well now he will be calling me Lucy for packing. Last night he said, are you going to pack anything anytime soon? Whatevah...It will get done. Last night I tried a pair of shorts on DS and he was like why are you trying these on me! I said I was just seeing if they fit so I can clear out some space in your drawers! I am trying not to say a word to my kids before Saturday morning! It is very hard but I am doing it!

OK I am stressed here. Just saw a photo of a lady in front of the GF tree with a winter coat and gloves on. Am I supposed to be packing this?? The weather says 70's right now and 70 is warm for me.

Vanessa, hey it's Lisa. I'm still here and it is very warm. Today is supposed to be 84. Most of the days have been in the 70's. I've worn jeans, a short sleeve top and some days I've brought my light weight Columbia fleece jacket. I brought a few thin long sleeved sweaters, and have worn them to dinner, but have not needed them during the day. Pack a little of everything. That's what I did. No gloves or heavy jackets though. Have fun, it will be here very soon - time goes by way too fast when you get down here.

Vanessa! I have a few simple ones....

First, fig wrapped in prosciutto. This time year they sell mission figs and you can be bold and stuff those with blue cheese or you can leave them plain. Then get prosciutto at the deli and wrap them up inside.

Second, when I tell you that I have to make double batches of this, I mean it! Bye the big bag of Perdue popcorn Chicken. Follow the directions to bake. In a bowl mix the juice of an orange and about 1/2 cup of honey. Add some orange zest from the orange, too. Sometimes I add Grand Marnier to it depending on the audience!Pour over the chicken and then top with sesame seeds! Voila! Easy but delicious!

Hmmm let me think of some others....Hummas and tabouile with syrian bread?

Good Morning Gals

I have DS13 home sick today . I guess after not feeling well Monday night and going to school yesterday caught up with him . Nothing too terrible.....just a sore throat and a little stuffiness.....hopefully with some medicine and rest he will be as good as new soon .


Siobhan......Yeah....the wind was horrible last night . We just got a dusting of snow but the roads seemed a little icey when I took DS15 to school . I think it's supposed to be in the high 20s or low 30s for the next few days........way too cold for me . Have fun packing.....Saturday will be here before you know it . I just realized that we would have been down there the same time as you if we had kept our plans to go this December.....our dates were 12/13-12/20 .


Vanessa........Your trip is coming up so quick too . Have fun packing and getting ready to go . The weather down there this time of year so can be so iffy.......hopefully it will be decent for your's and Siobhan's trips .
