Hi, Deb! YES>....she is wearing goggles....she would let us do anything to her - she is sooo docile. The girls could dress her in a ballerina outfit and she'd let them. She loves to swim and the kids get such a kick out of her playing in the pool with them. She is a big baby too and likes me to hold her and "float" her like a baby. My 135 lbs furry monster baby.

OH!! I hear you about the wrapping!!!!! I usually start off having a great old time, making fancy bows and doing a beautiful job....but today...eh. It was more like GET IT DONE day. I didn't feel the magic of the wrapping today. PluS...I was too busy gawking at gorgeous Hugh Jackman on the tv.



LOL! YES DEB!!! I will read your trip report. I feel like i KNOW YOU. You won't have to twist my arm. LOL....I hate making trip reports too......I'd rather chat.


Ooooh...I agree about that crazy Allears BWI thingy.....I heard Poly was up there too. Uh uh...no way. Not to be trusted.

Tatum is sooo cute in those pics....and she looks like a "you can do anything to me" dog.....very laid back not letting much bother her . How funny that you said the girls can dress her in a ballerina outfit and she wouldn't care . Hunter is the same way.....(but I don't think a ballerina outfit would be appropriate ). DH says all the time "You can do anything to him and he just lets you"......he's a 105# BABY as well .


And too funny on the trip report because I'd much rather come back and chat than write one of those.....so don't hold your breath . If my computer ever crashed I'd be in BIG TROUBLE if I couldn't chat with my GF gals .


That's kinda scary about the BWI thing . I hope Siobhan has a good stay . We have never had a bad stay at Disney yet at any of the resorts we've stayed......I couldn't imagine starting off a trip with a bunch of crap that either doesn't get fixed or takes all week to get taken care of .

Well all my Santa gifts look like a toddler wrapped them but that is what my kids like! Last year I wrapped them all nice with beautiful paper and bows but they were so pissed they couldnt rip them open! I learned that it doesnt matter what they look like....
My frustration comes in when the kiddos try and help me wrap adult gifts! Ugghh...

Today is a good day to stay home.......it's windy and rainy this morning and it's supposed to get colder and turn all this rain to snow . DS13 wasn't feeling good last night and I thought for sure he'd want to stay home from school today, but he went . He hasn't missed a day yet this year.....I told him if he could stay home.....but he said no . Now if it was DS15 getting the chance to stay home.....he'd take it in a heartbeat with no questions asked .


Marvel......Have you gotten any snow by you ? I'd GLADLY send it your way as I HATE snow......unless it's on Christmas Day .....then I can handle it . The snow will probably come your way when you're at Disney .


Siobhan.....Good luck packing . You are going to have a GREAT time........Disney is so beautiful this time of year .

Morning gals! Glad everyone returning had a great time and here is to wishing an AWESOME trip to all who are leaving soon. Hope K is still having fun!

I have been battling a stomach virus the last few days. YUCK. Hopefully I am getting over it so I can start worrying about my Christmas Party I am having for work this weekend. Why oh why do I get myself into this mess!!

I cannot even really think about our trip yet. I did do some wrapping and ordered more today from American Girl...that place sucks me in. Dh said to me the other night how he will miss all the presents under the tree. It made me think "OK if you will miss them I better buy more!!" Don't know how I am going to get all of this stuff home!

OK- question on shipping. I am going to take all of this stuff to the UPS store. Can they ship it in one huge box? Do I need to bring my own box? Hopefully the GF will keep this stuff for me. I need to call and talk to them.

I looked today because I thought I was going to upgrade again. Nothing at all showing at the GF for my dates. Not even GV. The Poly had all levels available. Interesting.

Tonight is Lily's Xmas program at preschool. I am soo excited!! She has to say "Jesus is our light of life." I am going to be such a proud mommy! We have practiced and practiced!

That doesn't really say much when you read the fine print. Only ten people voted. I saw that survey before I switched out of YC to BWI. They're also voted as "Top 100 Hotels in Travel and Leisure Magazine" They apparently haven't stayed at the BWI

I'm now addicted to Basin too! I LOVE the Lemon Sugar body butter and shower gel. Last night I used one of the bath bombs. OMG my skin felt so soft! DS4 came in the bathroom afterwards and saw the blue water draining out of the tub. He had to have one in his bath! I think he used the other calming waters bomb I had. I'm going to have to hide them. I can't have a 4 year old hooked on bath bombs! Bad enough he likes to receive chocolates on his pillow on vacation

Wendy: How did you get the gingerbread home safely? Any tips you can share? I really wanted one, but didn't trust Jet Blue. The flights were packed both ways and they make you put everything in the overhead.

Where did you find the Lenox ornaments in WDW? I just ordered my DS1 one yesterday. My mom had bought DS4 a personalized Mickey Ear Lenox ornament on her last Christmas with us. I was so happy to find that it wasn't discontinuted.

Mare - That IS the Dumbo ornament!! I'm surprised they offer it on their website! Thanks so much for the link!! I'm ordering it - it was $30 at WDW!! And free shipping is great!

The best selection of Lenox ornaments is at the Christmas store in DTD. We also saw them at the jewelry store in MK on Main St. and The Art of Disney at Epcot. But the best selection was at DTD. My mom got a beautiful Snow White one. I really wanted that one too - I have an ornament addiction!! I also love the Small World ornaments and got the Spanish dancer this time.

As far as the gingerbread house , I didn't see the girls pack it up , but they said they would pack it in tissue and it was wrapped in cellophane and put in a box. They put a long piece of packing tape on it to make a "handle".

Imagine my surprise when we got home, opened the box and there was no tissue paper around it inside!! But it made it completely intact! I think the key was keeping it upright the entire trip home. It even fit upright when going thru the x-ray machine.
My hint is to befriend the flight attendants!!

I took my pics on my phone this time. It was great to not have to lug a camera! The only downside is that it has no zoom ( or one that I've found yet!) so Doogie Howser looks like an ant in my CP pics. I will try to post them later after my kids get home and can show me how to download them on to the computer!

We got a dusting sat night into sunday which was very nice to see. It is all gone by me but here near work everyone still has it covering thier lawns. At least I get to see some snow... I bet you are right....While we are away I say NY gets a blizzard

Chan - I took some great icicle castle pics!

Vanessa and Marvel - They had a cute ceremony at the MK closing where we guests "help" turn on the castle icicles on the castle forecourt stage with! I'm assuming they do this every night. It was on our MVMCP night. I don't have a times guide because the MVMCP maps were already out in place of the regular MK maps/Times guide when we got there that night. I bet your kids would love it!

I want to build a fort, have a snowball fight with the kids and the dog and then get so cold and drink hot chocolate by our fake fireplace

I could stare out our front window and watch snow fall for hours...it seems so peaceful when the world stops.

Im still afraid to cancel our Cinderella lunch on Christmas. I keep wondering if just maybe it wont be too crowded after 12 noon when we finish lunch.
I guess that is crazy though.. i should cancel and go from 7 to 10 or 11 and then go back the GF.

Im so curious to see these crowds.. I've done all 3 summer months and presidents' week. I've been in those crowds where you barely move and it is single file to get down main st...im so curious to compare those crowds to Christmas.

Its going to be close to 60 degrees here tomorrow....and of course it is going to rain.

Marvel.......I don't think you're joking.......some people really love snow . DH and DS13 get very excited when they even hear the word snow because they want to go snowmobiling all the time . I'll be honest....I used to LOVE it when it would snow . Before DH and I got married we used to head to Michigan all the time to go snowmobiling.....and we'd also go skiing in Wisconsin......we'd always be watching the weather channel to see where the snow was going to be the heaviest and head that way . But I guess getting older has put a damper on the snow for me....I don't do COLD . My 2 boys are teenagers now so there's no more building snowmen in the yard and running around in the snow .....which we did alot of when they were younger . I do think it is pretty sometimes though when snow is falling and I'm watching it from the inside . I thought you folks in NY got bombarded with snow all the time???? I guess not since it's supposed to be 60 degrees by you tomorrow . All we're getting here today is RAIN . I'll send good thoughts your way for a snow fall .

All it's doing is raining here too . I just went out to get the mail and it doesn't seem too terribly cold but I can't stand this rain . It has been raining here non stop ALL DAY .

Did you see SWA released dates through June 26th ?. PERFECT release dates for our June trip......we're going 6/19-6/26 . Of course the fares are $159 each way .......so hopefully they'll come down soon so I can purchase them for a steal .

Afternoon!

I have not had any time to be online because I am getting the kids and Gabby acquainted and used to life with a puppy

Well, for all you coming down soon it is gonna be around 80 the next few days A few days ago we had freeze warnings! This is why I LOVE FLA! This weekend the weather is gonna be nice!

Siobhan~ I have not packed yet ..... I haven't even thought about it! LOL! I will be packing all day and night Thursday! BTW: I have flip flops on today

Deb DH graduation is on Friday, we found out his name is not in the program and his cap and gown was not ordered. Then we found out it was because the professor for the class he had to take to get the extra credit he needed did not do something or other. Anyways it is all worked out and he is gonna borrow a cap and gown and walk but I am really bummed that we will not have a program with his name in it.

Gabby is so gorgeous! We had only seen pictures and they so do not do her justice! I am in LOVE She is only 6 months and does puppy stuff like chew and jump up on us but she is a good dog. The kids were excited but she is big and they have only been around a calm Jack Russel so they are not use to dogs her size and she makes them nervous. She is BIG and all muscle! 30 lbs so far, and can rest her chin on our dining room table. When she jumps up on me she looks me in the eye! She is not done growing so I think we are gonna have a pony not a dog! Today she saw a cat and we were in the front and pulled so hard on the retractable lead she broke it. I am telling you she is strong and was dragging me trying to get to that cat. She got in her cage and slept all night, I was so worried about her whining and barking but she came from a home that caged her 12 hours a day so she is good about sleeping in it. She got in at 11 and slept til 6.

One funny thing that happened was we have cats around here that poop in our back yard. Well, Gabby found some and ate it. I called my sister and she said it was normal. I was horrified still and got her doggy tooth brush and toothpaste and dawned some cleaning gloves and brushed her teeth and sprayed out her mouth. She did not like it but I am Alpha dog! LOL!
