I just got a phone call that I have an interview tomorrow. They found out that I was going to Disney next week so they called me in early. I'm getting my hair done in the morning, need to run errands, clean the house, pack my clothes, and now an interview. I'm going to try to clean a bunch tonight. I'm very greatful for the interview, it is just going to make my day even more complicated - plus I always get so nervous at those things. I'm leaving work soon - my DH is going to get a sandwich for supper. -Lisa.

Good luck with your interview . And although it will be a hectic day tomorrow.....you'll be glad once it's over and you can enjoy your trip more without having to worry about an interview when you get back . Have a great trip .

OK, I am in the home stretch for packing!! I did it in 5 suitcases!! 4 29 inch and 1 25 inch. Is it sad that one 29 inch suitcase is nothing but shoes My heaviest is 44 pounds but the rest are around 35-37. So I have room to buy stuff! First on my list is that BEAUTIFUL castle Christmas blanket

I will try to make it back on tomorrow am after DS goes to school but before we leave. If not, see ya on the 15th!

FIVE SUITCASES FOR 3 PEOPLE ....and one of those 3 is a little guy . I guess I'm not close to being an overpacker . I always think I overpack when I don't wear half the stuff I take on vacation......but we only have one suitcase each . And about the "will I have room for everything I buy" question.......I solve that by shipping all my stuff home .........so needless to say I don't have much discipline when it comes to shopping in Disney because there's no fear of being over the weight limit on my luggage . I usually have a hard time spening money on myself but in Disney it's a little easier for me . And DH is sooo understanding......he just shakes his head and says we'll need more boxes . If I don't catch you tomorrow.....have a great trip and enjoy all the beautiful Christmas decorations .


Maxie........These next 106 days can't come and go fast enough . This weather has already gotten on my nerves and it's just the beginning . Keep that countdown going .

Maybe if Mr. Southern Elegance didn't know about me and my luggage "issues" we wouldn't be getting a stretch limo .....did you ever think of that, sista? We'd find ourselves cramming into a town car.

I think 5 suitcases with a family of 3 is packing light. SWA says 2 per person so Kristin is ahead of the game! Besides...one is all shoes...so really she is packing 4. (How's that logic?)

Just got back from taking DS to school and it is VERY COLD . I have lots of as well as cleaning to do......so no going out for me this afternoon.....although I do have to pick DS up from school at 2:30 and take him for a haircut . But atleast I'll stay warm at home until then .

Chan~ I Like Vera B! There was a little boutique gift shop in our town that carried VB stuff when it first came out and I think I have been collecting for about 10 or 11 years. I remember when no one had Vera, now everyone has it. I must say the stuff was not as good as it is now, much prettier now! I have not bought a new bag since last year about this time, but I have a list of things I want!

Morning all.
Trying to catch up on reading here....
happy birthday to any birthdays i missed and have a great time for everyone who left or is leaving.

We are almost ready for our trip
We have packed up 2 boxes with presents and stuff. I have one more to finish before sending them down to the GF.

We had to wrap everything and choose what gifts santa will bring and which he will leave home.
Most everything i've ordered has been on amazon. They ship fast. 2 day shipping has arrived in one day each time.

I am still waiting for the luggage i ordered but it hasnt even shipped yet and we leave in 15 days.

The last big thing i need to do is buy some clothes. Im used to shorts on vacation..i have to buy some pants and nice shirts.


The boss asked me what the dates were for my vacation and since he couldnt remember i added on saturday the 20th. Now i get to leave early sat instead of afetr work sat. I was going to have to drive straight through but now we are stopping in Savannah for the night and will drive the last 5 to 6 hours on sunday.

Book a stay in NC for the way home. My mom has decided to meet us in Universal Studios when we head over there so i booked her flight.
What is the number or website for southern E? that is the place everyone suggests, right?

Im pretty sure im going to cancel our Castle Lunch on Christmas and instead get out of there by 11 and have lunch and open presents in our room.

Anyone have those electric fireplaces? We saw one years ago that we really liked and we decided to get it for this Christmas. It is supposed to be delivered today. It gives off heat and you can have sound too if you want and best of all...the kids and the cat won't burn themselves or the house down.

Traci Im glad you survived your MIL visit...I was shocked about the things she said...but unfortunately not too shocked.

That is great you can leave early Saturday. Driving straight thru does NOT sound like fun. That's neat you can take different routes?? GA and or NC? We have the same boring route back and forth....boring states...except TN and GA are pretty.

They are the best IMO & what I have told everybody to use and they have been happy with their service. That is nice (is it?) that your mom is meeting you guys. Sounds like a really REALLY amazing trip you have planned.

See, someone who understands me!! One suitcase is shoes and the small one is all the bathroom junk. I don't see what the problem is?

We apparently are on file with our limo company as big packers too since we didn't even have to request a stretch limo- they just automatically book one now!

In 2 hours we will be on our way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH is getting a hair cut. My load of towels is in the dryer and my dishwasher is finishing the drying cycle. I kind of like this midday thing- I get so much more done than when we leave at 3am!!!!

Off to check the weather (again )

Our route is the same ....95 from north to south. very boring...lots of trees. The first time i drove i was expecting to 'see the country' but no...just trees and the famous roadside adult place....Cafe Risque..

On the way down well stop in GA and the way back NC but all on the same boring route.
