Maxie.........OMG......I can't believe your trip is in just 31 days....how exciting :dance3:. Sounds like you got a great deal on RPC for 7 nights :yay:. I still can't believe this deal......when we took advantage of the same kind of deal back in 2003 I never imagined they'd have anything like it again :rolleyes1. But we'll watch together for Dec '09 deals :thumbsup2. Speaking of AP rates......are those pretty good deals sometimes :confused3? We've never had APs so I'm not familiar with the discounts ....but we're getting APs next year so it would be nice to know a little bit about the discounts ;).

Deb :)

The rates can be good sometimes. I have not been able to get an AP rate for when and where I want to stay. DS saved over $700 in Oct. 07 for MK view room at the CR. He took his DGF there for her collage graduation present. Last year I didn't see any rates that good. Hoping we will see some better rates this year. You get some merchandise and dining discounts at restaurants that don't take the DDE card, or Tables in Wonderland or whatever they are calling it now. Just when you start to figure it all out they will change it.:rotfl2:

I'm not an AP expert (our Jan trip will be our first trip with them) but I saved about $100/night on that trip with our APs  . We had to be flexible with our resort choices a little, though, and I ended up not having GF at all as no AP rates for GF were released yet. I got BWI Standard View for four nights at about $250 a night, WL CL Honeymoon suite for 1 night for about $330 a night, and CR Wing GV for 3 nights for about $200 a night, all including the tax, so I was really happy. We are hoping to go back to WDW in May and Dec so I will try for GF on one of those trips! (Too bad I can't take off another week from work so we could do the 4/3 deal sometimes in May  )

Chan: Horray for the yacht!

BlueSkies: Sorry to hear about your aunt

Vanessa: You will have a great time on your trip once you get there, and so will your husband!

Kelly: Glad to hear you enjoyed the book. I have been thinking about reading that series. I just might have to try it!

Mandy: Are you thinking of keeping your current home AND purchasing the property next to you? If you can get it for cheap enough that it won't put a major strain on you it might be a great idea. When we bought our property, we owned 40 acres. A couple of years ago we sold 20 of it (with no improvements) for the same price as the entire 40 :woohoo: , so now everything is paid off except the down payment, which makes our lives SO much easier, as our payment on that is very small. I know the market isn't great right now, but at least the land itself should always retain value. And great job on the cleaning! I was thinking of you and your cleaning/organizing tips while I was cleaning our house yesterday and trying to declutter!

It is COLD here today! I had ice all over my car this morning! The heat is finally fixed at work, though (for now), though it is trying to catch up and my office is freezing! I work M-Th 8-6, and I hate how it gets dark so early now! It is pitch black by the time I get home! Maxie, how many more days until spring :lmao:

Have a great day everyone!

Maxie & Amy......Thanks for the info :goodvibes. Sounds like AP room rates can be very good at times ;). Amy.....sounds like you got some great deals on all your roooms for January :thumbsup2.

Marvel......If I could send the snow your way, I DEFINITELY would . I can't stand Chicago winters :headache:. I agree with Chan.......time to move south :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Deb :)

V, I don't know where the new area is...i haven't heard from them yet about the area for my date.
Did they contact you or did you ask them?

Chan.......I took the dog out just a few minutes ago and it was SNOWING :scared1: :scared1:. I'm really, really NOT ready for winter :sad2:. Like Vanessa said.....get the gloves out .

I told the girl that is my contact that I definately wanted parade viewing and there was none available on the 27th. She then emailed me the other day and said I got into the alternative parade viewing (wherever the heck that is!) Just wondering if you knew. I did ask her about the guide and she said it was the same for all three days which is good. We are going to see how much we like it the first day and go from there. I think we can canel within 48 hours so that is not too bad.

V, I was told you can cancel within 48 hours but if you have 2 vip days in a row and you dont like it after your fist one you can cancel the 2nd day (obviously in less than 24 hours) without penalty.

Have a great day everyone!

YES we WERE but things have changed today....... The property is 1 1/4 acres, we live on about 3/4 acres. We are on 3 lots and the property next to us have 5. It has two houses on it that are both small, about 800 sq ft. The price was amazing, less than 20K. We were gonna buy it and stay and fix up the houses and rent those then rent ours eventually and move. We found out this AM that one of the houses is condemned, has a huge foundation settlement crack and would cost major $$$ to fix it..... the inspector said the city would not even turn on the electricity to inspect. We are hesitant to buy now..... Marc uncle was the inspector but is also a pro and buys properties and then rents them out he is getting older and unable to do the work and is bringing DH in and teaching him how to do the work. He told us to stay away from these places. We could buy it and just have a bunch of property around us but to be honest we are not sure what is going to happen with the property across the street from us..... it is about 10 lots and we are afraid they are going to build some small duplexes..... the guy who purchased it has done that to the past 3 property's he purchased and we have signed and gone to city rezoning meetings fighting the rezoning of that property but we lost the second time..... My house is not super nice but all the houses around here are older bungalows and we have large lots and it is a established neighborhood with nice family's. The duplexes he builds are low grade and do not attract very good neighbors. That sounds horrible to say but with 4 kids I think about the area I live in. I also and worried about what a bunch of cheap duplexes would do to my property value!

Here are some pics from my daughters first cheer competition. The girls in her division are 4-5 and she and another litlle one are 3. It is the cutest thing, They are so clumsy but they think they are the cats meow! They were the only team in their division so they won LOL! :rotfl: They seriously thought they beat all the other squads - even the big girl awesome ones!! HAH!

Mandy...wow..sounds like you have a lot of decisions to make. Yes..with kids you really have to be careful where you choose to live. We moved back up here to raise ours because I thought it was the shiny happy place.:rotfl: It's too darn cold though.:rolleyes1

Happy day, all!
Channing :)

Yeah, my DF just called and said they unloaded my new dryer! Our old dryer was taking 3-4 cycles to dry clothes, so it was time. I found this one (a Kenmore HE5, anyone have one and can tell me anything about it?) at a Sears outlet. it has a tiny scratch on the front, so instead of being $1100, it was $430, still brand new! Yea! More Disney money! The only bad thing is that my washer is a GE frontloader, and they won't stack. I was hoping to stack them and have them upstairs as there is no room if they are side by side, and right now they are in the basement, the steps to which are in the garage, in the cold...

Amy, Congrats on the new dryer! :thumbsup2

I am insanely jelouse of all you with the fancy front loaders! I need them bad but as long as we can keep fixing ours for less than $10 every year when a particular part wear out then we keep going....... I love the sears outlet! We got our deep freezer and a second fridge for cheap cheap! They both had big dings but who care they are in the garage! I need to check em out soon to see if i could get me deal on a dented waher! ;) Only dh goes there now and that is to by the infamous $8 part that breaks like clock work once a year! :rotfl:

TRACI_ Those are the hair things I have been looking for for Lily's tumbling competetive team. Where did you get them?

She is too adorable!!

Hello everyone!

Had a stressful day! Grrr! I needed to find my DH's title to his car for the donation people...Well I figured out it must be in the safety deposit box. It was almost time for school so I looked where I thought the key was and it wasnt there? :headache: So I brought the kids to school and called the bank from my cell phone and asked if they could let me in without my key? They said sure come on down! I am sure you all know where this is going! So, I go to the bank (now 20 minutes away because when we opened the safety deposit box we lived close to it). Yup, no we cant let you in. You have both keys! :furious: I was so ticked off and I told her, too! All she could say was the person in the call center had the wrong info! So back home I go to find the stupid key....Then I say I am going to search for both keys because I am closing that sucker! Too much of a hassle...Well I found both keys and went back to the bank and closed it! Hassle of coarse but oh well...It is done!

Then I get home and guess what....Still no f****** title! Nope! I am super :furious: :furious: :furious: All they can say is it is somewhere in the mail! Grrrrr! And I dont think there is mail tomorrow, right? I have been borrowing my friends car and now I just feel silly for having so long! :sad2: What would you do for a gift for her??? What would you spend???

Thanks for listening to me! Tomorrow is another day! :goodvibes

Sibohan, I would be really PO'd! (ETA: PO'd at the situation, not at you borrowing the car!) I would treat your friend to a nice evening out after you get your title. also, make sure you return her car with a full tank!

Nope, no mail tomorrow, I don't think. I work for municipal gov't and I am off so I guess no postal service.

Hopefully you will get your title wednesday! It's been a while!
