Having a birthday in WDW...Any suggestions?

#1..stop by and get a "birthday pin" from the parks and wear it. You will get "Happy Birthdays" all day and a CM may even stop you and sing happy b'day to you!!! It's super fun and really makes you feel special. (I experienced this wearing my wedding ears on our anniversary. We heard "congratulations" every where we went it was GREAT!!)

BF has taken me 2x's for my birthday. I had fun with the buttons..you can get one at each park. BF told ADR's that it was my bday. Things shouldn't be expected but things may happen. I recieved a placemat at Chef Mickey's, varioius cakes at CRT,Boma, and Ohana(Boma cake was awesome!) . CRT table was decorated, recieved a card at Boma, was the shakka maracca shaker at Ohana. At the AKL I receieved a Birthday greeting from the Mouse himself and my parents (who weren't able to travel with us) sent a cake to the room! Let me know if you need more details.

A nice start to the trip (I did this for my DW's birthday) is to have a bottle of champaign on ice with chocolate dipped strawberrys waiting in the room when you arrive. You can also have ballons up there waiting along with signed photos from the Mouse and company. That gets the whole trip going on the right foot.

For my father's birthday last year (it was a MVMCP night) we all had dinner at Tony's. It was fantastic. Make a note on the reservation that it is a birthday, and remind them when you check in. When we arrived at the table they had decorated it with streamers and Mickey confetti. I had ordered a birthday cake from Disney Dining(chocolate with white icing, served up to 6, I think), and they brought it out for dessert and the staff all came and made a fuss - not just singing, they made the whole restaurant yell something - don't exactly remember, it was half Italian! We really enjoyed it, and I'm sure wherever you will be dining would create just as fabulous a birthday experience.

Oh, and we were staying at the Contemporary, and they sent up balloons and a birthday card from Mickey. We actually weren't in when they came, and they left a message that we had a "package," then when we got back nobody could find it! Eventually they appeared, and it was just funny at that point. :rotfl:

We ate at Tony's on my birthday. I was wearing the birthday pin and the hostess noted it. When we were taken to our table, they had set it up with Mickey Mouse Confetti and streamers! It was so special and I was surprised. I was with my husband and son. At the end of the meal I was brought a large sundae and sang to by an italian waiter. My husband didn't plan this. They at the restaurant did all of it on the spur of the moment. So you might want to consider Tony's. They do birthdays up special!!!!!
