Having a bag dilemma

Here's the story...the Baggallini messenger, while a great bag, was too small at WDW last year. So, I bought an LLBean touring bag, large size, for this year's trip. We tried it out at the zoo yesterday, and it's not going to work for WDW. While it's plenty big enough to hold everything we'll need in the parks, it was not comfortable at all. I had to put it in our son's wagon most of the day because it hurt my shoulder and chest (I wore it across my body). Plus, it was too heavy, and I wasn't carrying as much stuff as I would at WDW. So...the search continues. That's why I'm writing. I don't like backpacks and prefer messenger-style bags or one that I can wear across my body. I need something bigger than the baggallini. I've been following the other bag thread, but haven't found anything there yet that will work. Actually, that is where I found out about the LLBean bag. Does anyone have any suggestions? We'll have our stroller at WDW, but usually the only thing I store in there is a small cooler with water. I prefer to have everything else organized in a single bag. Thanks for your help.

I agree.. the Bagallini is too small and I do not like backpacks either. I found the Sherpani and pulled a shoulder pad off of my LLBean bag and slipped it on the Sherpani. Without the shoulder pad it felt like it might cut into my neck. I carried it around the house for a while and so far it seems very comfortable with the added shoulder strap. It's light, padded and roomy enough for my SLR. It's made of nylon, but the tag stated it can be sprayed with fabric protectant /water resistant spray.

It seems to hang low enough as well. I found mine at T.J. Maxx for $24.00

It's the Sherpani Flora Minor.

I know you said no back pack. But I had bought a Cheap back pack purse by Rosetti and I have used it every trip. Straps are small They don't dig and it has a few pockets to keep stuff in. Instead fo trying a bag that might end up costing you more money. Try looking at the messenger bags the kids carry there books to school in. I have a few of them and they don't seem to cut into me when I have used them.

I just ordered and received a bag from disney shopping. It's a backpack/sling type. Not big at all, and very light weight, but big enough to hold our kttw cards, my sony digital camcorder, my digital camera #2, my iPhone and more. And it's customizable. A quick search of sling bag on disney shopping will lead you to it with dimensions.

Vera Bradley bags are kind of loud, but they are light and comfortable. The strap on this bag is adjustable, soft and at least an inch wide. I expected to sling it across my body, and I did sometimes, but it worked just as well staying on my shoulder too.

P.S. The "retiring colors" at the bottom of the page are one third the price of the current patterns - $35!

i've been looking at that bag for awhile, but i am not sure if it is big enough to hold all the stuff i'll need for the day (going with 2 young kids)... the dimensions on the website don't help me out that much - it seems pretty small/narrow... how big are your camcorder and camera? maybe i can get a better reference point for how big/small it is!
thanks so much!!!

Here's my camcorder:

Here's my digital:

And an iPhone with plenty of room! It is actually roomier than it looks. Granted, you won't fit diapers or wipes in there, but there is a zippered compartment on strap for your tix, so it will work great for us.

Where in NJ are you? I'm in NJ too, maybe you're close enough to come see? I'm in Burlington Co.

thanks for the info!

probably not big enough for my needs :(

i'm up in north jersey, so that would be a bit of a hike! but thanks for the offer!
