Hello. Had the absolute worst time trying to find dinner reservations for the week my family will be down. So, I ended up making dinner reservations for six people for most nights. However, the one night that is critical is dinner at Citricos. If I have ressies for six but come in with seven people, can they still accommodate us? Thanks!

I am trying to remember, but I think there is a place to add one more on your phone when you check in for your ADR. Can anyone confirm this? I have the same problem one of our evenings in November when we have an ADR for 2, but my daughter might have the day off work and want to come with us.

You might be able to add another, but you might not.

If you're still in the window to make reservations, try making one for 8.

I would first try for 8 people....if that doesn't work, when I was on property last week and "checked in" to my dinner reservations, it would ask me to update how many people and if there was a special celebration. I didn't have to update my party, so not sure if would let you "add", but its worth a shot.
I will say that 3 years ago we stayed at the Grand Floridian and had a reservation for 9 people at Narcoossee's and they were VERY unaccomodating to switching it to 10 people (who was only a child)....they shot me down and even the concierge desk at hotel wouldn't assist.
I'm hoping you can get it changed!

Don't get me wrong they will try but I wouldn't count on it.
Always better to make reservations for the right amount of people or more. Not less.
Being "critical" I'd be calling to see if they could add one more or keep an eye out for either a reservation for 7 or a reservation for 1 and hope they can accommodate that way. At least you'd have the correct guest count for the restaurant capacity/legal codes.

As a failsafe, you could try to make an extra reservation for 2 or 4 people at a similar time, just so everyone can get in. The restaurant won’t penalize you for the extra seats, and maybe they can seat you together, or at least very close, once you get there.

As others have said, try making a reservation for 8 or for 1-2 people around the same time you have the ADR for 6. I hope they can accommodate you - we found the staff at Citricos to be outstanding. We were staying at VGF a few weeks ago and I noticed Citricos on the walk-up list but by the time I clicked to join, it was gone. We walked over to the restaurant anyway, to see if they could accommodate us or if we could sit in the lounge. They had space in the lounge, but went out of their way and found us a table in the dining room. The meal and service were outstanding.

It is always easier going down 1 then up especially if you go from an even numbered party to an odd one, you will be assigned a 6 top table. I would keep trying for a party of 8 but wouldn’t be very hopeful if showing up with 1 more person.

If you have the ability to change the amount of people on the computer system do so. If your critical dinner is not your first night be sure to ask for a change at the restaurant’s podium once you get to WDW. Should you wait until the day of your reservation, they maybe able to accommodate you but don’t be surprised if you have to wait.

We have been at WDW 5 times this year & we eat at TS every day. With checking in on the app, it tells you if you can add a person or not. It will say “you can add up to 1 person” or “up to 0 people“. It very much depends on the restaurants capacity at the time of your reservation. If they are full, they won’t let you add anyone. If they have space, they offer the option.

It is a very bad idea to book for less people thinking they’ll let you add “just one” more. This question comes up at least weekly, if not several times a week. A lot of people think they’re the only ones who thought to do this, but it’s a lot of people trying to add an extra guest. So many that they added that info on adding a guest on the check in page. Especially now with limited TS availability, you may get turned down. Have a backup plan just in case.
