When I bought dvc (just last year) we had a track record of 9 out of 10 times travelling in May. So I jumped in and bought an April UY resale.

Suddenly everything has changed. DS only wants to travel on March break, doesn't want to miss school, he's starting high school this year. DD is in university and has a February reading week, wants to travel then, or possibly in the summer, but usually has to work in summer. Things have changed so much, I'm looking ahead at the possibility of them wanting to travel on their own with friends (future families?) and me and dh travelling by ourselves too.

I'm considering buying a different uy for future points, maybe October or December, and another resort too. I like the look of the OKW rooms, those big patios look great.

Is it a big pain to manage different use years? Would the two contracts be together on the website? Or would it be a different sign in?

Don't get differing UY's. It will be a big pain! The contracts would be separate - and difficult to combine for reservations (not impossible, but it complicates how you manage your points). DVC does not sell add-ons with differing UY's to existing members - unless you twist their arms (and even then they will caution you about this).

We have two use years, but at the same resort.

It was a pain when one uy was a lot smaller than the other. Now that we have added on again and they are closer to the same amount it isn't so hard.

I just figure out which days to book from what use year and tell MS which points to use first. I haven't gotten into trying to transfer my own points. Someone else will have to help you there.
