Haven't wrapped a single gift yet.

Well, Lauri - you must be wrapping, because you're not here right now!

I have to exchange some things, so I'm glad I haven't wrapped yet. We pull names for a Secret Santa in my family. My niece just E-mialed me to let me know that what she got for my sister will be delivered to me. It turns out, it's the same thing I bought sis as a "sister's" gift. ( I have two sisters and we exchange gifts, just the 3 of us.) So, I don't want to take away from her Secret Santa gift, and I probably spent over what we usually spend on these little gifts. But it also means that I need to rethink my other sis' gift!

And I'm not done shopping yet either!

Glad I am not alone :teeth:
So today I went shopping and got a few more things, and have not wrapped them yet

I haven't wrapped a thing. Nothing. I have been catching every bug possible (stomach bug followed by strep throat followed by a nasty head cold)... :rotfl: I have no energy and no time as I have a kindergartener who leaves at 8:30 and is home by 11:30 (when I try to run errands).... and my 8 yr old DD is all too curious....

1 week.... I have a week.... I can do it sometime, right? :rlol: :santa:

I haven't wrapped anything yet either but I can't find one of DH's gifts. :headache: DD10 keeps offering to wrap her siblings presents but I know better - she will then tell them what they are getting and spoil Xmas morning. I will let her wrap some of DS19month's presents - I don't think he would mind if she told him. :rotfl:

I need to ship my stepson's presents tomorrow so those HAVE to get wrapped tonite!

I'm done :cool1:
I have been wrapping and DISing literally all day today. It was what I had planned as soon as the kids were out the door and I'm happy to say that everything is done. I still have to put tags on but I do that Christmas Eve just in case the kids find the gifts before that.

We don't really wrap any gifts. Wrapping paper is just one of those things my wife and I are against. Why pay money for paper that is dyed and processed so that someone could rip it up and hopefully recycle? (Don't even get me on paying someone to wrap gifts for me...)

For the love of the Earth (and your own money), I recommend doing one of the following:

- use your children's artwork to wrap gifts (my kids are so proud to see gifts wrapped in their handiwork; also, some people keep the paper and don't rip it!)
- use good ol' newspaper (sunday comic section works great!)
- use bags (they can be reused for other purposes)

Hope this helps!

I haven't wrapped yet either. I think I'll start tomorrow, since the kid's will be home after that.

I am sooo glad I found this thread! I was beginning to think I was the only one who was not ready. I have all the gifts - just none of them wrapped!

I am hoping that I can pawn off my kids for a few hours this weekend to a very nice, caring relative or they luckily have school on Monday (yup, just one day) so I can wrap all day if I need to. :)

Okay, y'all inspired me. I had 20 mins. earlier today before I had to leave to pick DD up from preschool. I used that time to sit down and wrap 4 more presents. I only have a handful of presents left to wrap. Now, I just have to get cracking on sending out my Christmas letters!

I haven't wrapped anything yet....DD has done it all so far :lmao: . The boys even made her wrap her own present from them (in a box well taped).
