Haven't seen this issue here

I use an ECV at DW and it is extremely helpful. I have no problem with it (well, sometimes I wish I had a really loud horn on it, especially at Christmastime;)).

But the last time (Easter week 2010), on several rides, I encountered a new problem that I haven't seen addressed. Well, to be honest, I am a quite obese lady, and this last birthday must have been reason for my knees to start bothering me. I do have scar tissue around one, a torn meniscus in the other, and just general arthritis when the weather is bad. Sciatica from herniated discs causes a general weakness in one leg as well.

But on It's a Small World, as well as on the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, I had trouble getting down into the seats and even MORE trouble getting UP from the seat at the end of the ride. I also have issues lifting my legs over the "step" to enter and exit the cars on Spaceship Earth and was getting nervous because the floor is rotating!

There are a couple of other rides that have the moving floor, as well as the super-low seats, but these three stand out in my memory; is there something I can do or ask for to alleviate these issues?

It’s kind of late, so I can’t reply with a long reply, but this recent thread should be very helpful to you.

Link to thread about steps and stepping over sides of ride cars.

You can’t do anything about how low some of the seats are (other than possibly using a cane to help you push off).

FOr the moving walkway situation, you would either bring the ECV in line with you or get a Guest Assistance Card to use the wheelchair boarding areas if you plan to walk in line. There is more information about Guest Assistance Cards in post #6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
