Haven't been to WDW in a while. Any tips?

Well lets see. If you have seven days, I would suggest trying EE acouple of times. Sometimes, we have found it is less crowded at the Parks that did not have EE. However, if you get there right as EE starts it is usually not crowded at all and you can pretty much walk right on the rides.

We usually go around May 20 and the crowds are moderate. Does your DF like to ride rides? If so, I would do EPCOT or Disney Studios first, especially if you are arriving on a weekend. MK is usually pretty crowded on the weekends. EPCOT and Studios have some of bigger rides at WDW.

Dinners, I recommend Yachtmans Steakhouse, California Grill, Japan in EPCOT (the Japanese restruaunt is fantastic).

keddy, welcome to the DIS!!!!! I would suggest that you get a guide book, our library has them, and decide what you both really want to see and do. Are parades and shows your thing or do you want thrills???? I do like to plan but don't do commando, you kind of have to play it by ear. You are going at a great time, weather should be great and crowds light. Have fun planning, the Dis is a great place to get info, check the restaurant forum for recent dining experiences.

Just a few ideas.

Check into the Fantasmic dinner package. You get PS at Hollywood and Vine, Brown Derby or the italian place (it's slipped my mind):p Be sure to tell the CM you want the fantasmic dinner package. Then you get dinner and a pass to a reserved area for the show. Check out info in more detail on most any disney web site.

Check out the Adventures Club on Pleasure Island one night and do some clubbing.

Try dinner at Ohana's with PS around 7:30p, should work out that you see the wishes fireworks around dessert time. They dim the lights and play the music and narrating.

If you both don't mind getting up early the EMH is great for getting in a number of rides in the morning, then spend the afternoon either taking in the less crowded rides or shows with AC. Or head back to the hotel, swim and quick nap then head out for the evening.

Otherwise go to non-EMH park at its opening (only saving an hour though)

Try out the mouseboats on the Seven Seas Lagoon. They are such great fun.

Since this is his first time hit the highlights, take a leisurely pace so it's relaxing and fun. Don't try to see it all.

my daughter and I spent Christmas and New year at wdw and I have to say thank goodness for the early entry. We did not use it the 1st week as we thought we would be to tired for the rest of the day, but new year week was impossible so we tried EE and never looked back. We are off again in August and will definatley be using the EE most of the time, with a short nap in the afternoon when the parks are crowded.

I have been to Disney a number of times, but not in a while (twice as a kid, once in High school and twice for a day or two). I am going in early May for 7 days after a conference with DF (who has never been). We will be traveling w/o kids and staying at Coronado Springs. Do you recommend going to the early entrance at each park or is it too crowded on those days? What about dinners? We plan on quick breakfats and lunches and big dinners. I have made reservations for the hop-dee-do revue one night. But what are some favorites for dinner? How is the 50's diner in MGM? Also, do you recommend having an plan before going for each day or just winging it? Where do you recommend bringing a 39 year old male who has never been first? He is having a hard time understanding the whole "magic" thing and I really want him to be impressed as soon as we get there. Any tips would really be appreciated. Thanks.

you should absolutely have a plan, have PSs for at least some of your dining, Use FASTPASS.
