Haven't been since 2011: Fast Pass clarity, please.

We went to WDW in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011. We got to be Fast Pass wizards. We knew the system. We found some "cheats." We could use up to five, six, or seven Fast Passes a day, and ... every now and then would get some from a Cast Member, another guest leaving the park, or even find them on the ground or some random flat surface.

I know the system has changed, and I have a vague understanding of how it works today. Fast Passes are reserved ahead of time online or via app. You can reserve up to three per day.

Here's my questions. What if we change our minds on what parks to hit on a specific day during our stay? Can you change your Fast Passes during the day? Can you use more after the three you've reserved or are you just out? If you cancel one (say, at Magic Kingdom), can you try to get one in another park (say, for Soarin)?

If you've got some insider advice, I'd love to have it. Thanks!

You can change your mind and modify the passes.

You can change the passes during the day.

You get one more at a time after you use your three. You can continue to get one more at a time after you use each fast pass after your first three.

You canNOT get one for a different park unless you have none left at the original park. So - if you are in MK and have fast passes (even if you have only booked one or two), you cannot get one for AK, EPCOT or DHS until you have none booked at MK for that day. So - either use the MK or cancel it to be able to book at another park. Fast Pass doesn't care that you paid to parkhop.

Thank you!

@richcook1970 ~ I've moved you to the FP subforum where the 2 FAQs at the top of the forum will answer a lot of your questions. :)

The FP FAQ ADDENDUM addresses how to book FPs for Park#2 when in Park#1.

Please ask for more clarification if needed.

Just be aware that it's all subject to availability. It's not the same as it was in 2011 since people will have been booking slots for 60 days already.

Thank you.
Just wanted to clarify:
You can book 1 FP for Park#1 and as soon as you enter the FP line, book 2 FPs for Park#2. Booking 3 FPs for one park is not mandatory.

And, the FP record for a Party of 2, without using any booking loopholes, is 21 FPs in one MK day.

For the record, that includes a lot of attractions that didn't offer FP in 2011.

That said, I'd be pretty happy with a 21 FP day.

What?!? How??
