That's enough to make me want to try it this weekend... I can always get my money back if I don't think it helped, right?
Do you suggest using it when I bring a first timer to DLR?
I think they have a moneyback guarantee, but I'm not positive.
There's pros and cons when using it with a first-timer.
Pro: Line times will be less, which might give the first timer a better impression of the park.
Con: Moving from place to place might make a first-timer feel like they're either walking more than necessary or are missing things because they can't go at their own pace.
My suggestion, use RideMax and get a few different possible schedules. Once your at the park, feel free to make adjustments.
I used to do DL in a counter-clockwise method. I'd go down mainstreet then hit Tomorrowland then go to the matterhorn, smallworld, toontown, and so on. With RideMax you might go from Space Mountain to Indy Jones to Buzz Lightyear to Tiki Room to Matterhorn.
If you're going in a group, designate one person as your "runner." This person holds the group's tickets and races to collect fast passes according to the RideMax schedule while the rest of the group moves at a comfortable pace to the next stop on the schedule. Just make sure you know where the runner meets back up with the group and that both have cell phones just in case.
I'm always the runner for my group and I love it. This time, I think I'm going to back off, however. My wife said she doesn't want to do DL "bootcamp style" again. Does that mean I won't use RideMax? No way! They have an option for groups that want to take it slower. What we'll probably do since we'll be there multiple days is do both my bootcamp style and her laid back style.
I love my wife.
I can't say enough about RideMax. I used it for the first time in March 2006 and road the big rides multiple times:
Space Mountain: Closed.
Big Thunder: 3x
Matterhorn: 2x
Splash Mountain: 5x
Indy Jones: 2x
These are estimates, but I remember thinking there was no way we could have done as much if we hadn't had RideMax.
Have a great trip!!!
