Looking for people:
Since June 1st, 2014

I have read multiple times about people losing their FP+ and I am wondering if it has anything to do with not everyone having their own MDE account.

Not really, yours is just about if FP+ was lost I am trying to figure out if this is potentially why, or at least raises the chances.

I have read a couple suspicions that by having everyone on the same MDE account you are more likely to have your FP+ get messed up. Also someone just posted yesterday they had their FP+ get messed up and they too had everyone on the same account.

If its true its likely because MDE was really built for a 1:1 relationship but to make things "easier" they allowed you to put multiple people on the same account. Think about Facebook, any email, DISboards, and any other login system, a large majority keep everyone separate.

PS - Even if Disney knew this was an issue its doubtful they would ever tell anyone. They likely would just try to fix it but its likely on the bottom of the list of the multitude of FP+/MDE issues that they are trying to resolve, not to mention its probably like finding a needle in a haystack based on the huge amount of systems and code interacting to have the issue come up.

I have no data at all to back this up, but I think it's because people are listed on multiple MDE accounts, or more than once within one account. I think the system just sees a name and sticks stuff into it, without looking to see if this person is actually ON this trip, based on my recent experiences.

I have NO idea how this happened, but DH was listed THREE TIMES in my MDE account (I am doing all the planning for our trip in October). One of the listings had him as Mr. DH with no experiences at all attached to his name. The second had him listed as MR.DH with our hotel reservation, MB ordered, but nothing else. The third had him listed as DR. DH, and that's where 3 of the 4 ADRs were. The account also had him checked off as "someone who travels frequently to WDW with me" which is so totally laughable- he has been on 5 of our 26 trips! I finally figured it out and got rid of both Mr. and DR. DH, so now he's only on one account, but I have NO IDEA how he got listed at all. DH hasn't been to Disney in 6 years… were they really planning all this IT linking way back then?

Today I will try to link our passes (from UT) to our names in my MDE account. I hope this will go well, but I am nervous as I know both DH and I had online accounts with ESPN back in the late '90s, for the NCAA basketball tourney. I have no way to access these accounts now, but am really worried that somehow, our tickets or FP+ reservations will get stashed down in the "noise" of these accounts and I'll end up really, really frustrated again. OP, I know you are a huge techie guy who totally supports the new MM+ system at Disney, but many of us have had enough issues with it to be disappointed, angry, and quite frustrated by the whole thing.

Correct, I have no issues with anyone saying I lost my FP+ they need this FIXED AND NOW! I do have a line with people saying FP+ should not even exist because I see it will make my trip that much easier. Disney just needs to get the system working correctly.

Anyway don't want to get on the debate of FP+. I really just hope that we can see if having multiple people on the same account causes an issue.

Like you said with have Mr.H Mr. H MR.H all on the same account it shows the system has no way to consolidate people. I can only imagine the issues that will come up in the future when Mr. H with the MB tried to get on the FP+ of MR.H and they say there isn't any FP+ tied to the MB....

The husband being listed 3 separate times in the account is a different issue that what you're polling about, though - at least, from what I've gathered.

There's a difference between there being multiple people linked in an MDE account intentionally - i.e. me using my account and having myself, DH, and my friend all linked within the account - and MDE magically creating 3 different husbands within the account.

The former is intentional - I put in multiple people in my friends and family list, and created plans for them specifically assigning them, etc. The latter is a(nother) MDE glitch - with MDE somehow assigning different reservations intended for the same person to slightly different names.

I'm hoping that the former will not be a problem for our trip. Neither DH nor my friend have disney.com accounts at all, so hopefully there will be no mixups. I'll be happy to answer the poll once I can make my FP+ reservations next month and we see how things go. I can easily see the latter continuing to have glitches/issues, though, because the origination of the 3 different people itself was a glitch in the first place.

I do have a question re: the poll, though - why limiting it to people who have gone since June 1st? AFAIK, nothing major changed within MDE/FP+ on June 1st? I could see maybe limiting it to the date that they changed the system to allow for the 4th FP+, since that was a decent system change, or maybe March 30th when they opened up FP+ to those staying offsite (at which point, FP+ was no longer really testing, since everyone on property was using it). June 1st just seems kind of random. Since it hasn't been that long since June 1st, it's rather limiting the pool of potential answers...people that had problems in May or April have just as valid experiences, IMO

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that my DS-6 and my DD-1 and My DH and I should all have their OWN account. That is just silly. I don't want to have to deal with 4 different accounts. Keeping up with one account is a big enough pain. Disney intentionally wants a family linked together.
Further, I did lose all my FP+, we were all on the same account, BUT DIsney insinuated that it was because we had different accounts that caused the problem ( I sent my complaint e-mail from a different e-mail than is on the acct.)
We did not have separate accounts, separate e-mail, separate anything. We did not do anything to our account. IT guy recognized this- everyone else insinuated that we had done something. We hadn't. One day they were there- next day gone.
