So I am sitting here with my DH, talking about our trip in Sept.

He says: "You're doing it again".
I say: "What?".
He says: "I wont be able to have a resonable conversation with you for the next 6 months."
I say: "Not true!"
He says: "Have you thought of ANYTHING besides the trip in the past 3 days?"
I say: "Of course I have!"
He says "What? The next trip?"

Then he goes on a tangent, from the view inside my mind, about how I am planning the trip AFTER the one in Sept.

"If we go in Sept, then we can go again in May. Oh wait, it might be to hot in May. So we can go in April. Wait, when is Easter? Ok so we can go in Sept & in March. That will work because I am renewing the AP, so it will be good through next spring. So we can go in Sept, and then again in March. DH will say ok, since the AP will be good. Ok better getting planning on that March trip. Oh wait! Do I have all my ADRs for the Sept trip yet? Nope, gotta finish that. Then I can start planning for this March trip. DH, did I tell you we are going back in March also? No? Well we are."

Sad thing is, he is 100% totally right! :lmao:

I mean, word for word right! :rotfl2:

Oh good thing he loves me.

And good thing he enjoys the trips to Disney. :cloud9:

How sad is it, that he knows WORD for WORD how my planning mind works?

Well that is what I get after 9 years of marriage. :rotfl:

More of my conversation with him:

Me: "So this weekend..."

DH: "We are not going to Disney World THIS weekend! I cant possibly get reasonable airfare this close woman!"

:lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: This sounds exactly like our house.

Just a couple of weeks ago DH said to me "let's go to Disney in June", here I thought I had to wait until November! I was ecstatic :woohoo: .

Little did he know the monster he had unleashed :stir: . I have been scouring the internet researching, planning and booking. Whenever he calls from work and asks what I'm up to he says "you're not reading those boards again are you?" Of course in a sweet and innocent voice I say "who me?"

Hi! New here...sorry to barge in! :wave2: But I had to post! I had to copy and paste your post to my DH and say see, you thought it was just me! So glad I'm not alone! :rotfl2:

I have been obsessing and planning our trip for this April since last November. Yesterday my husband got the mail and the customized resort flyer was in the mail. He turned positively giddy. :lmao: Although he hides it pirate: , I suspect my husband is just as Disney crazy as the rest of the family.

What he doesn't know is that I'm planning a trip for this December too. :santa: My cousin who lives in FLA is getting married so . . . any excuse for a trip! Hey, who really needs excuses anyway?

:goodvibes :rotfl: Sounds like me too! Been counting down the days since we booked in December.. well something has to keep us going until we're actually there! :wizard:

I spend five minutes speaking in what sounds like a strange dialect of Chinese to a poor reciepent before I realize they have no idea what I'm saying.

'You can't call WDW tomorrow! If you wanted an ADR for CRT on the fourth you would of had too of called 4 hours ago. It's our BB day anyway, and then we can resort hop GF and Poly and perhaps WL but only after our ADR at Ohana's and Wishes!!'

I was telling DH something the other day and he said where'd you hear that, on those boards? I paused for a momment and said, "yeah, I was going to pretend it was a real person that I know, but it was my buddies from the DIS"

Then the other night some poor women said she was taking her DD to WDW for the first time this summer. She said they were staying at the AKL. I had already had a few glasses of wine which probably made it worse, but I think I probably scared that poor women. "Are you getting Savannah review, have you made ADRs, you're on the dining plan and don't have any ADRs yet? No, you can't wait until you get there. Here are some websites and here's my email, let me know if I can help. And you might want to think about a different resort if you don't have Savannah view, something on the monorail perhaps." I wonder what the conversation was like with her DH when she got home."

Although, she could be reading this, it was one of the websites I gave her.

My husband said to me "Do you think you could at least get a load of laundry done? I'm out of pants."

My response: "Who needs pants? You don't need no stinkin' pants!" :rotfl2:

Next conversation

Me: "So I was thinking, about this Donald breakfast..."

Him interrupting me: "Look honey, I'll eat wherever you want me to. Just do what you need to do and I'll agree that it was a great idea." :wizard:

Now I know I finally have him trained. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl:

You are not alone. Tell your DH he needs to take pity on my DH.

On a daily basis in our house
Me: Hon, you know what I was thinking?
DH: Wait! Let me guess. It's something about Disney?

With 3 trips in the works at all times I am a lunatic.

After 19 years together he has finally surrendered  & although he will never admit it (he loves to break 'em for me) he has come to love WDW as much as I do (well, almost). He just leaves the obsessing to me!

Maybe the DH's need their own support group.

There, you see? My DH is NOT the only one who has to listen to "all Disney, all the time". :rotfl:

Our August trip is done except for things that can't be booked until 90 days. I have that date marked so I can set the alarm. If DH is home he will be required to get up and call, too. He knows the drill.

DH doens't know I booked us for December. We have talked about it, but he doesn't know I booked the room and paid the deposit. So all these letters keep coming from Disney, but luckily he thinks they are for the August trip. (He doesn't realize since the August trip is through AAA we aren't getting mail about it.)

So the school calendar for '06-'07 is out, but we have to wait until the Monday after Thanksgiving before we know what weeks DH has off for '07. Now THAT is painful. I can't book anything for '07 until AFTER DH gets his vacation assignments. And not knowing when we will go in '07 makes it hard to plan that December trip. If it is too extravagant then if we end up going in March we will be scrambling to pay for 2 trips so close together. The problem is we won't have our '07 schedule until 5 days before we leave on the December trip! So I guess we'll try to keep December a "quick & cheap" trip, which was the original plan. And with the APs I am hoping to maybe do a trip with just DS & me sometime next year, so we'll need to plan for that...

My boss says her friend calls these "high class problems". :rotfl2:

:lmao: for me it is not a spouse but my mother (we share a house with my two boys). There are days I come home from work and start talking in code so the kids don't get it but she doesn't get it either and I have to go back and start over!!

I'm already stressing over ADR's and what to do on each day we are there and we aren't going until Nov!!!!

At least my mom is in good company!!

tara

OMG..you are all married to my DH!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have had the exact same conversations with him as you all posted above! How funny!

Me: "Um, would you mind if we skip Biergarten this year & try Alfredo's?"
DH: "Fine , I'll eat wherever you think is best."

Me: "Would you want to stay at the Contemporary rather than the Beach Club?"
DH:"Pick which ever resort you'll like the best."

Me: "Do you think we should request a balcony or patio at the BC?"
DH: "Anything would be fine. It's Disney, I'll be happy just being there."

Me: "Can I ask you a question?"
DH: "Is it about Disney?
Me: "how did you know."
DH: "Just a wild guess!"

I am obsessed planning our August trip...my mind is also working on when to go in 2007..already planning the CR for that trip..just have to plan when! I mentioned it to him but I don't think he thinks I am serious. (yet!)

My DH loves, loves, loves his vacations with us at Disney but he is not obsessed with the planning like I am.

I am lucky, my DH is addicted too! I cringe whenever I see him pick up our ADR list cuz I know it means I will be calling Disney Dining and changing something!

He scours the Dis for dining and resort stuff, I check theme parks. We are a Disney force to be reckoned with!

omg .... we are soooo there!!!

DH & I have Disney conversations EVERY DAY! I call on my cell the minute I'm out the door from work saying "I want to go to Disney - NOW!" He's like "yeah, me too. After we get our APs, we can just go down for a weekend after work if we want to." CAN'T WAIT! :yay:

We spend at least 30 mins to 1 hour every day planning - meals, parks, etc. I think we've read every menu from every restaurant & most of the reviews by now. We book our July room in January every year! We know ya just can't wait.

The good thing is .... DH is just as big of a Disney fan as I am!!! :teeth:

We had a friend tell me the other day (Sunday) that they're planning to make a family trip 4/28 for a long weekend & they haven't made reservations!!! :sad2: I'm like "you need to call TODAY - here's the number. If you can't get a suite, ask for two connecting rooms. You can borrow our new 2006 guidebook if you want ....... "

We're getting ready to book a long weekend B-day trip (for me) in Oct.

I am totally obsessed. I think about our upcoming summer trip way too much. I am going with my sister and niece and my 2 kids. I email her pics of Disney stuff on a daily basis "pics of the day".

:lmao:

Whats really bad is when your husband/wife is as bas as you! My dh is as totally addicted to our Disney trips as I am. We are like two drunks sharing the same bottle of scotch, hoping we can find the money to buy more and soon! All of our friends make fun of us but we don't care. For that matter my kids are as bad as we are. We have friends going in May for their first visit. They asked my daughter when she was over playing about eating in the castle. They asked how long they would have to wait for a table for 10 people. Well after my daughter told them to let that ship sail, no way could they eat at CRT on this late notice, she spent another 30 minutes running down all the character meals they MIGHT get into, why staying offsite was a bad move, get there early and last but not least told them to subscribe to Tour Guide Mike! She's 9 years old and a self proclaimed Disney Travel Specialist. God bless her! But the mom did start writing stuff down frantically in her day timer and asked Maria more questions.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You must be so proud!
