Have you stayed at Oak Plantations recently?

DH and I are going in October and I was just wondering what Oak Plantations is like? How far away is it from Walmart? Thanks for your opinion. Connie

Hi Connie,
Stayed there a couple of years ago. A quiet gated community. Not many activities - but very conveinient to the 192 Walmart. I would recommend it. Approximately 10-15 minutes to WDW.

Thanks for the info. This is the first time that we try a condo type resort. After I had booked this resort, I read somewhere that this resort used to be apartments. Not sure if this is true and I wasn't sure what to expect.

Yes, the resort used to be apartments and there are a few 'quirks' about it. The one bedroom we stayed in had bathroom access through the bedroom. The bathroom has a medicine cabinet (which I thought was unusual for a vacation-condo).

The towels and other supplies are kept in what appears to have been garages.

We loved the small feeling of the resort. I liked that is was surrounded by mature trees. We enjoyed our stay.
