Have you stayed at CSR and Polynesian??



I have been checking all the resorts since I received a 40% off code. Finally decided to book the Poly at $200/night. Great price but we need 2 rooms so that makes $400/night. In the back of my mind I keep wondering if we should stay at CSR because we can stay in 2 rooms there for the cost of 1 room at the Poly. The cost difference is $1600.00. (We can afford it, but should we! That would pay for our DDP) The part of me that likes deluxe wants the Poly. The part of me that wants to save $$ says go for CSR.

So I'm looking for people who have stayed at both that can compare the resorts for me. We usually go to Epcot every day so that is important to the family. The comfort of the beds is important also.

I've stayed at both.

If you have little kids and will be using the monorail service a lot, you can't beat the Poly. It also has a zero entry pool. When you stay there you feel like you're in the middle of the action 24/7. I think it is an experience you have to try at least once. We stayed there LVC on the 7/4 Visa deal a few years ago. My DD still remembers it.

Having said that, CSR is awesome too if you get a room close to the lobby and are on the dining plan. Bus service is the best at CSR because they're usually empty. Great pool, great food.

If you can get the Poly at 40% off and have kids, that's what I would choose. Who knows if you'll every get another offer or chance to stay they.

Yes, I have done both and regret it. We loved the transportation of the monorail. The atmosphere is what really makes it for us. Having the castle right in view from the beach, y0u can watch the fireworks and water parade from the pool. It just can't be beat IMHO. We were so upset that we tried the CSR that December, we went back in January just to stay at the Poly because we missed it so much!

Thanks for your help. I think we will stay with the Poly at this point, unless it looks like $$ will be tight.
