Have you seen priceline do this???

I have used priceline several times before, but not since Christmas....
Today, I tried to bid on Resort in WDW area and it actually performed a search and came back with a rejection....
I have never seen priceline do a search type thing like for example Disney does to check available inventory....usually I get a request number and have to check in a few minutes to see if accepted or not....
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before. I started bidding at $65, then went to 68 then to 70 and all were rejected after the same type of search was performed....Of course I added different areas without resorts like biddingfortravel suggest.
I am going March 14 thru 17 and I have seen others get accepted at these prices, so I stopped bidding and will rebid later.
I am just really confused because the system for bidding seemed different. If anyone has seen this before, please let me know. Any advice is appreciated.

I am not too familiar with Priceline in regards to the "search" you got -

Do you know about the web-site biddingfortravel.com ? It is a great web-site that will tell you what bids are accepted and what hotels -

Good Luck - Sometimes just bidding on a different day with the same amount works - Don't know why - Just does -

Yes, I use biddingfortravel all the time. I just have never seen priceline use a "search for availabilty" method.
I did receive the usual emails that said the bid was not accepted.

...it always uses the search method and you generally have a response in about a minute.

I noticed that, too. I bid on Fri for the first time in a few months and it really threw me for a loop. I thought I had hit a wrong button. What I thought was weird, they also send an email, I guess so you do not have to wait with the PL window open. Quicker answers work for me!

I bid yesterday too. Same experience as you. This was my first time so I really didn't know what to expect. I went up to $74 after using about 5 rebids. Then I got chicken and stopped. I read earlier that Swan/Dolphin would not come up after today.
I was tempted to try one more time, but I don't know.

She was referring to a thread on the Resort Board. A Swan/Dophin insider told everyone that the current Priceline S/D party was over. Go ahead and try if you want but I would be scared if it were me.
