Have you seen Chocolat? (Johnny Depp)UPDATE

Ok----been a fan of J.D.s for a while. I had never seen Chocolat, so we rented it last night. He is only in the movie for a while, but it is quite good.

He plays an Irish river rat that comes to town and helps out.
Ok there is more to his part, I just can't get into all of it here.

He plays the guitar and does a fantastic job of it.
So, when they first come to town the Chocolatier's daughter says
"mommy, the pirates are here". My daughter and I are laughing now, and then the daughter says, "That must be their Captain!"
And now we really start to laugh, it's Johnny Depp.

Needless to say we scream...Captain Jack!

Cute movie...although he is not in it much. Did enjoy seeing him play the guitar. If you watch it closely you can see a lot of the Capt Jack Sparrow role coming out in him.

At any rate...my J.D. rant for the day is over....

Rent it...it's good!

Boy did I miss plot stuff in Chocolat! I thought Depp and his
friends were gypsys from Eastern Europe. I guess it was the
music they played that made me think that. I loved him in the
film and wished he'd had more screen time. Didn't u just love the color in it!?

It is an amazing movie...I'm only sorry I did not see it before now.

I loved all the color...the red shoes, the red capes.
Quite funny to see them invade a nice little Catholic town and turn it around!

I love that movie.
My DD, a couple of her friends and I went to see it when it first came out. We all loved it so much that before it was even over, I said I needed to have it at home as soon as it came out. After seeing all that luscious chocolat, we had to head to a restaurant for chocplate cake (and we stopped along the way home at Target to buy some dark DOVE chocolates, too).

I literally just jumped in my chair. Caroline and Trinity are such different roles that I'm still sitting here in shock. I just can't believe that I didn't realize that before now!

Johnny Depp has been around for awhile and I've seen lots of his movies before POC, but I never realized how great he was at acting until then. I also think this guy gets better looking with age. I now try to catch all the JD movies on cable. Here is a schedule:
