Have you received your DDE card yet?

Dear Friends,

I ordered my DDE card on February 9th in anticipation of our late April trip. The CM that placed my order said I wouldn't need need an email receipt as I would get the card in plenty of time. Well........yesterday (roughly 8 weeks later), I requested the email (and got it rather quickly - like most). At the same time the CM said it would probably take another two weeks for the actual card to arrive. Has this been your experience? I have no problem presenting the email......I'd just prefer the card as the email will probably be in tatters before our trip is done.

I ordered mine exactly at the 8 week mark to be safe. I ordered it 2/17 and I leave 4/17 and do not have it yet. I have the e-mail, but it's more convienent to have the card than have to pull out papers every time.

Ours came 1st of March and was ordered the end of January. I used the email with no problems in Feb and my card last weekend (has it been that long? )

Take extra copies of the e-mail. It was a good thing I did because I left one on the table at Bomas. I had an extra one in my luggage and I gave another copy to a friend with me. I ordered mine on 1/24 and got the cards on 3/14. It was about 2 weeks after my card was charged.

I ordered mine on February 23rd. Got the e-mail right away but haven't seen the charge on my card yet. We're not going until July so I guess I have time!

Just checked and our Amex was charged on March 28th. No card yet.

I called on Monday because we leave next week and I still have not received the card. The charge showed up on the AMEX statement though! Sheesh! I got the email minutes after I hung up from our conversation. I understand they are swamped, so why not have more people working on it?

I ordered mine January 31st and received the cards on April 1st. In case anyone is interested the expiration date is March 31.

to get another extension on the email......we ordered it feb 11th and got it on our credit card on the 22nd march.....and today is over two weeks and still no card......he said that we should have it in two weeks........we leave a week from tomorrow....but I will make a few more copies in case we lose or it gets ripped...good idea ....THANKS

We ordered ours on February 20th for our April 26th trip. I called yesterday and they checked on it for me. She told me that it was processed on March 24th, and then was sent to Pennsylvania where it will now take 3-4 weeks for them to send the actual card. Obviously they are way behind as I was also told I would have it easily in 6 weeks. On my new letter they have my expiration daate as May 31, 2006 and originally it was March 31, 2006, so at least they adjusted it.

I called today because we're going down next Sunday. They said they would e-mail a letter we could use in case it didn't make it. I was told it might possibly get here or be here when we return home. She admited that they're really far behind and apoligized. Not much we can do but wait. Although I was hoping the e-mail letter would be here when I got home from work today and is not here yet. Ah, well, we'll just have to plan another trip to use the card! (Any excuse will do!)

We ordered on 3/8 and the credit card charge just posted on 4/6. We leave 5/18, hopefully the card will arrive before then.

This is a really good idea. Thanks to all who responded. I'll post on this thread when my card does eventually find its way into my mailbox.

I ordered mine 3 or 4 days before you and I received it about a week ago. They've been VERY backlogged. On the plus side, my expiraton date was pushed out even more.

My card FINALLY arrived today, April 14th. I ordered it February 9th, and my CC was charged on March 20th.

The only thing is I thought I was going to get 2 cards..one for me, and one for my husband. Really not a big deal......but if this is important to some of you, I would ask the DDE office.


........the expiration date is 4/30/2006
