I know this service is offered at the resorts. Anyone know how much it is?

Hi..

I have used it, as I was there for 16 nights so we needed some stuff done.

It was expensive, something like 6.00 each for shorts, 2.00 for underwear ... my bill was over $100.00, but everything was so nicely done. It was worth it for me.

Hi!
What is the turnaround time for the laundary? And also about how much per item to get things pressed as well?

Renee

Hi.. I called for them to pick up a big bag of stuff at around 7pm in the evening...

By the time I got back from the parks the next day everything was hanging in the closet and there were nice white paper bags with the non hanging things..

I did not ask for anything to be pressed but everything looked great.. all my daughters tee shirts and shorts were done better than I do them at home!

I have always done a load or two at the resorts myself. We usually plan one resort night in the middle of our stay and I will do the laundry then. Buying the little boxes of detergent and paying for the washer/dryer runs about 10.00. This allows us to pack light, bringing only carry-ons to the airport.

I'd love to splurge and have the resort do it, but 90.00 could buy a really nice dinner or a couple souveniers!

I used the laundry service and was very pleased. My sister was horrified at the price and chose to spend three hours at the laundramat doing her own. I figure at what WDW costs me to be there an hour, the laundry service was a bargain. Most importantly, the clothes were nice and soft. Not itchy like I have found at some hotel laundry services.

The only time I've sent anything out was one of DH's dress shirts (the trip was 1/2 business1/2 fun!). I don't do them at home, and I'm certainly not going to do them on vacation LOL! The shirt came back as nice as the cleaner at home does.

Normally when I need to do laundry on vacation I get up early and use the facilities. At 6:30 am they are generally uncrowded, but by 8:00am they begin to get busy. I guess I'm just wayyyy too cheap to pay the kinds of money they want for laundry service. ;)

That's one of the best things about DVC--in all but the studio villas there's a washer/dryer right in the villa!

We were woefully neglectful of our packing resposnsibilities on one vacation and ended up sending out our laundry. It was pricey, but worth it! The laundry comes back folded and sparkling clean. We would send it out in the morning, and we'd have it back by the evening.

A better idea than laundry.... last year we did a much better job packing and anticpating our needs. Of course, we still fell short by a couple of pairs of skivies and socks and one or two tee-shirts (water rides get me everytime!!!) - anywho, we went to the World of Disney and bought our souveneirs at that point. It worked out to be not much more to buy the new stuff, and it's stuff we use anyway. Believe me, Disney has EVERYTHING!!!

Enjoy your trip!
