Have you met any celebrities while cruising with DCL?

Daveigh Chase, the voice of Lilo was on the 8/24/02 Magic. My DS didn't think much of her, but thought her older sister was "really cool".

Drew Carey walked up and stood next to me at PI one night, I didn't realize it until DH pointed him out. I spent years woking in teh entertainment industry, and to this day could stand right next to the Pope and not realize it, but I'd see a lighting technician or sound engineer a mile away.

well....we haven't been on our cruise yet so we haven't met anyone there but I can say I'm related to a celebrite of sorts. My brother is the keyboard player for Kid Rock...his stage name is Jimmie Bones. And what a great brother he is!!!

Andrea McArdle and her family were the featured guest speakers on our August 2000 7-day Disney Magic cruise. We had a chance to speak with her briefly at an autograph session.

And on our last cruise, we bumped into Pete Werner a couple of times. I was glad that my wife finally had a chance to meet a DIS celebrity.

My DW and I were on the DCL Wonder cruise with President Carter and his family for New Year's this past year. He was left alone for the most part and Secret service took care of him as well. He had a little speech session and then he signed his book. He is an inspiring individual.

We were on the Magic in February 2002, and ran in to the defensive back for the New Orleans Saints Steve Israel and his wife and kids, super nice guy, stop and took pictures with the hole bunch of us.

I was in the Frontierland Barbeque restaurant at DL...my son and I went to the bathroom...

...we peed right next to Michael Chiklis ("The Commish", "The Shield")
:o

but.... did see Micheal Jackson at Universal studio in July of 2002. He went shopping at the Superhero's stores! Wow what a commotion he caused!I ran and planted my face up against the glass and waved ... he waved back! I was able to get off some pics through the glass !!! very cool!
The trip before in June of 2001 we saw the girl who plays Sabrina in the Brown Derby at MGM!

The featured speaker on our 3/02 Magic cruise was Grant Norman who plays Beast in the touring production. He has also been in the role of Phantom, very nice guy. Also ran into him buying Cuban cigars in St. Marrten. I assume all of these celebrities that do any kind of appearence, get a free trip?

Joe Perry obviously didn't have his shirt unbuttoned or you could never have missed him. What a chest on that man!

Did any of you guys every watch Gideons Crossing??? We saw the guy who played Dr. Giddeon in Dec on the Wonder. That show isn't on any more (to bad. . . I love good medical drama). I think he also was on Homocide, LIfe on the Street (???) But I never watched that show.

Well they're all safe from celebrity spotting from us because we haven't heard of any of them LOl except Princess Diana and my friends school friend was her dresser for many years.

One day at Disney we saw Kathie Lee and her family. We also saw Sid Ceasar (different day)

My English teacher once stood next to Shaq without knowing it. And she is TINY!

Does the Disney Tattoo Guy count as a celebrity? I saw him on the last cruise of our three-peat and didn't even realize who he was...I found out when we returned and I read it here on DIS.
We also met Don Williams (Disney artist) on our 7-day Eastern. He was the guest speaker and such a nice person! He did a drawing of Figment for me that hangs by my desk at work, and we have one of his lovely lithos in our foyer on the "Disney Wall."

Barb I am surprised you have not run into more celebs being you have cruised so often. We wouldn't have known there were celebs on our cruise but a bunch of little girls were running around looking for Whitney.;)

Not on DCL, but transportation-related...

Celebrities I've seen in the Atlanta airport...

• Travis Tritt (country music star)

• David Leisure (does those great Isuzu commercials)

• Don Farmer and Chris Curle (local celebrities... former anchors at our local ABC affiliate)

• One of the anchors from Headline News

Celebrities I've been seated near on airplanes...

• Newt Gingrich

• James Earl Jones

Hello

Barb - we saw the tattoo guy a couple years ago at the Cape May Cafe Clam Bake.

We also saw in and around WDW the following:

MGM - Anne Murray and Andrea Martin - they were taping an Anne Murray special

Magic Kingdom - Jimmy Leyland - Pittsburgh Pirates Manager

EPCOT - Tracey Gold - Growing Pains - shopping in Mouse Gears - I am sorry to say this but she was not a nice person. I was shopping with my kids when a flash went right by me - almost knocked over my 2 year old. She was practically buying out the store, but she could have shown some consideration for a child. Sorry but thats my opinion of her.

At the Philly Airport - coming home from WDW:

Gordie Howe - Hockey HOF - the NHL Allstar game was in Philly that year - what a really great guy.
