have you made a tranfer t shirt? help!

for those who have had disigns made for them from the very creative dissers how do you choose the t shirt colour?

i know this may sound strange but it is confusing me if i have a light blue design can i put this on a dark blue t shirt?

do i need special transfer paper for light and dark coloured t shirts?

i want to start getting organised t shirt wise soon so am ready to purchase both t shirts and transfer paper any recommendations on either would be fantastic!!!

hello! i would say if you are planning to use a coloured tshirt then use a transfer for dark coloured fabric. I am new to all this but will try to help if i can!!

if you use the transfers for light colours then anything not printed with go transparent on tshirt whereas the dark ones are white to start so anything not printedon/removed round image will print white... hope that makes sense!!

I believe you can get additional help in the HOW TO sticky at the top of the forum. I know I used dark transfers (Amy Mickey's) on all my shirts including white, emerald green, royal blue and black.

Thanks for ur replies!! that is what i was worrying about where the design is white that bit disappearing so i think the dark amy's tranfers will be best for me thankyou xx
