Have you lost weight during your trip?

During my last visit I swear that I lost a few pounds, even with free dining! I didn't actually weigh myself, but I plan to do a pre and post weigh-in for my upcoming trip and wear my FitBit. Since the Magic Bands do people still wear these type of devices in the parks (apple watch, etc.)? On average how many steps/miles did you log per day?

On our 2011 trip I lost 4lbs - and boy did I eat! It was definitely all that walking!

I lost almost 10 lbs on our first trip - walked ALL day and barely ate. Last trip I lost 7-8. I use my Disney weight loss as an excuse to keep going back. ;) I did not track how much we walked, but plan to next time.

I always do, and this year, I really cannot afford to lose anymore weight, so I'm a little worried about that.

I always lose about a pound per day. We walk anywhere from 12 to 16 miles per day.

I lost about 14 pounds last year on my 10 day trip last year. Generally had one ADR everyday and just grabbed a snack if I hungry later. I'm gluten free though so think that helped

I am jealous! I always gain at Disney (and pretty much any vacation).

i always come back 5-10 lbs lighter. i don't like to eat when I am hot, so I have a significant drop in calories. i know that at least a few pounds are water weight as well, from all that sweating in the florida sun!

I wish. I usually gain at least 5. I'm a runner, and live on protein shakes. So walking, all day even, isn't equal to my usual workouts. We have an extremely picky eater, so we stick with buffets mostly, and have free dining, so I eat 10 x more than usual.

I have definitely lost weight on a few of our trips. I went on a semi-diet about 3 months ago and I dropped about 15 pounds. I hope to lose another 5 before our November trip. I will be interested to see if I can lose a couple pounds on our trip.

I am one of those who always lose. The near constant exercise more than compensates for any extra delicious calories I ingest.

Before we moved to Florida, whenever we would visit (usually for 7-10 days and on a dining plan) I would lose between 3-7 pounds. Everyone else in my family would gain 1-3. Finally figured out that every time we became separated, I was the one who went searching for the others. So I walked more than they did. Was great because most of the buffets I had 2 slices of cake!

I have in the parks but never on a cruise and certainly not when we did the Panama Canal.

It's funny you asked about the FitBit because I just told my DH the other day that I want to get one especially for our upcoming trip in October. He thinks I am nuts, but I was totally serious...I want to see exactly how many steps we take in one day at each of the parks. We always joke and wonder how many miles we walk, this would give us an actual answer. If I were to wear one along with my MB, I would either wear my FitBit on my dominant wrist (right) and then MB on the wrist where I usually wear my watch (left)...I could try to wear it on the wrist with my MB but I am not sure how comfortable that would be.

Last December we were at BWI for 4 nights. I have a Polar Loop activity band. I got over 20,000 steps per day.

Curious about this since I'm at a pretty low weight for my height already. Was thinking about trying to lose a few pounds before my trip as a buffer, but don't want to overdo it while I'm there. Although during food and wine I'm sure to overdo it! :cloud9:
