Have you had WiFi on your SW Flight?

If so--did you know ahead of time that it was available? I've seen conflicting info-one that you are emailed prior to flight and another that you'll find out when you board?!?!?!? Debating whether or not to take the Netbook. TIA!

From what I can tell it's on the newer 737-800/900s aircraft. Check aircraft type on your ticket and see if it has a 738 or 739 on it. Again the number of aircraft is truly unknown for sure. I haven't heard an official announcement from swa about wifi being on board so I can't be for certain on the how spread out in the fleet it is.

Well swa just made a liar out of me sort of. It's being fitted throughout the fleet but no time line for how long. I still think the newer aircraft will have it first. You will not know till you are on board, according to swa.
