We are trying to decide if its worth it. We have booked 2 inside cat 11 rooms for our family of five on deck 7. But I'd love to be able to see the outside for 7 days...but because we had 2 inside rooms on the Wonder cruise, I really don't know anything else.

But, its 1300.00 more! Thats alot of money. Is it worth it? And how is the view from this verandah? (this one is deck 7 aft) Thanks! The TA is calling me back in 30 minutes.

My DH and I have had several different types of staterooms on the cruises... If you plan on sitting out on the veranda alot, then I wouldn't recommend the navigator's veranda, because you can't see out the opening when seated (unless you're about 9 feet tall!). However, if you like the natural light, sound of the ocean, fresh air, and walking out onto the veranda when entering/leaving ports, then go for the navigator's. I don't think that we will ever pay for anything more than a navigator's because it meets our needs/wants. Perhaps to save money, you could book one navigator's with an inside room across the hall. Enjoy the cruise! :earsgirl:

Thanks! Can you sit on this deck, are there chairs? Can you leave the door open at night to listen to the ocean?

We have stayed in all types of staterooms on DCL including an inside stateroom and the navigator's verandah.

The Navigator's Verandah room was our favorite cabin as of yet. It allowed for privacy - yet you could still have the amazing view of the verandah. On the 7 night I would go for the NV. It is a long time to be in an inside - my husband and I had trouble waking up since it was so dark in the stateroom.

It is purely a toss up. Save the money to spend on something else, or get the verandah and hope you spend time on it.

Yep, there is a bench (with a cushion) along one side and a chair. You can prop the door open at night to let in air or listen to the ocean (which we did frequently). It is much more private than regular verandas. I agree with Kelly... I would go for it on a 7-night cruise!

Was it frustrating, for example, having your coffee in the morning out there and not seeing the view?

If you'd like to SIT and look at the ocean, forget it. When sitting, you primarily see the sky. BUT...having the sun shining and being able to lean out the opening (which is pretty big) and see the ocean is awesome! Also, it's convenient to leave wet bathing suits out on the veranda to dry over-night.

I thank you guys so much, for all the details. I think you've convinced me. That was the only thing I didn't like about the Wonder, not seeing the sunshine in the morning and not being able to get me coffee and sitting somewhere in the room with light. I'm still waiting for the TA to call me back. Oh, I hope I don't change my mind again! lol. If you have any more info, I'd love it. Thanks again. :)
