Can anyone tell me what dinner is like at CP? Is the food good? Is it really rushed? Will we meet Piglet.

We arrive in Orlando on Saturday and we have a breakfast ADR at CP for the first monday morning of our trip. But we´ve now decided to go to Epcot on Sunday to catch the last day of the Garden & Flower Festival. I really want the MK to be our best place so I was wondering whether I should try to get ADR´s at the CP for our first night there.

What do you guys think?

We did dinner at CP last March. I thought it was good, but it was very noisy. Of course a lot of that noise was from our own table - we had our
dd(4) and nieces (5&6). We met Tigger,Piglet and Eeyore. Pooh was stationed at the front. The girls had a nice variety but loved dessert the best - chocolate chip cookies ;).

You will love CP for dinner! We did CP for the first night of our trip in November. DD 4 is a big Pooh fan! The food was good. We were not rushed at all! Lots of time. We had all four come around to the tables; Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore. We are going back but this time for lunch in July.

We did CP for our first dinner last year and we are doing it again this year. My DD loves seeing all the characters from Pooh and they have the best buffet that I have tried so far at WDW. The coconut flan dessert was amazing and they had all kinds of different interesting salads.

The food choice is great, we've only ever done lunch, but are going to do breakfast and dinner next time. Highly recommend it!

Thanks everyone! I just called Disney Dining and got an ADR for 5:20. That will give us plenty of time to get to the villa, have a quick swim, get to the MK for dinner and still give us a couple of hours at the park afterward. Oh, I can´t wait :)

We loved CP last trip. It was our best meal. Everything was fresh and well stocked. The deserts were out of this world. The character interaction was awesome. Pooh even played peek a boo with our son and we met each character one on one. :thumbsup2

We had dinner there in Sept. The food was good. We saw Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. The kids did a little parade with Tigger around the restaurant, and that was cute. My dd liked CP so much that we're eating there for lunch on our next trip.

O.k. Seems to get great reviews. I´m so glad. We ate breakfast there on our last trip and it was definately a favorite of ours, I´m so happy to hear that the dinner seems to be just as good. For a $150 meal, it better be ;)

We have been there for Dinner and breakfast. Both very good. I never felt rushed,I would even say I thought the characters stayed longer at CP then any other character meals we have been to.

You guys have made me even more excited. :)

We have gone a few times, really like it there.

Is it a place you'd want to go for dinner if the kids aren't little and no one really cares about character meals? My kids will be 17 to 22 when we go in September.

We tried the CP for the first time on our last trip. My DH does not like buffet meals, but the other party we were with (there were 13 of us in all) wanted to go there. We were pleasantly surprised, even my DH enjoyed the food. The restaurant may have been a little noisy, but we have 5 kids so we rarely have a quiet meal. The characters came around several times and had some great interaction with the kids, although if your kids are older or aren't really into the characters I think they would still enjoy it. I would definitely go back!

We either had a late lunch or an early dinner there (can't remember exactly). The food was VERY good.

I had tossed salad, bread, mac and cheese (from the kids buffet), a mushroom/chicken pasta that was excellent. Some sort of vegetable quiche, also wonderful, roasted chicken, green beans....?? For dessert we had an apple crisp and banana bread pudding. Both out of this world.

We didn't feel rushed at all and saw all the characters at least once, some more.

Sorry to jump into this post, but I had a CP quick question that sort of extends from the ones already asked...

How are the characters when it is just a party of two adults? My mother and I are very excited about this trip and this dinner so was just wondering. (For those who care, we do want interaction even as adults and yes we do realize there will be children there... loud children... but it's a character meal and at Disney so it will be fun!)

My family and I love the CP. It is very crowded and noisey, but the food is great as well as the views! It was an all around pleasant experience!
~~ The characters still come up to you and take pictures or sign autographs if you are traveling with adults only!

We ate there last year for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. Everything was tasty and fresh.

My suggestion about keeping characters at your table to a minimum is take no pictures. When they come by, say hello and leave it at that. They'll move on.
