Had my J&J vaccine last Thursday at 9 am, then worked the vaccine clinic all afternoon. By 6pm I was very sick - chills, fever, body aches, migraine, dizziness, nausea. Was really sick for about 18 hours, then the only symptoms were the lingering migraine and slight fever, which went away Saturday afternoon. Many of my colleagues were vaccinated on Thursday as well and were all reporting similar symptoms. But we are all glad we're vaccinated!

DH had his on Thursday as well but got Pfizer (1st shot) at a different site. He had no symptoms at all other than a bit of tiredness.

Hubby and I both have appointments for Friday in Pensacola for the J and J. I'm 60, he's 59 and has diabetes. We both got phone calls from the Escambia County Vaccine Scheduling line and had our choice of appointment times, and also our choice of which vaccine we preferred! I was amazed!

My husband (Ohio teacher) had his second Pfizer vaccine yesterday. He had COVID in late January and his symptoms were fatigue, a "weird headache" and chest pressure, resulting in lung irritation that hung around for about 6 weeks.

No side effects after the first dose. He just told me about an hour ago (approaching 24 hours post-second dose) that he's experiencing chest pressure and headache again...we'd both read that sometimes people who have had COVID experience side effects that mimic their COVID symptoms, so we were sort of expecting this. Glad we knew that ahead of time. Not fun but I'm so glad he's vaccinated.

He said most of his coworkers are out today - over 275 of the staff members in his district had their second vaccines yesterday and today had been planned as an asynchronous learning day in anticipation of a higher-than-usual absence rate from the staff.

Thank you for that video and that is almost exactly how one of my Infusion nurses explained the vaccine to me. I'm assuming (until I actually talk with my pulmonologist) that that is probably why they have us Alpha lung people on hold because we're getting infused every 6-7 days with plasma carrying "real" protein via the plasma that our liver doesn't make to protect our lungs.

Got my vaccine on Wednesday, March 10. The tech said, 'This is going to pinch.'

I'm sort of terrified of getting shots but will behave myself and stay absolutely still to get it over with. Didn't feel the shot. The tech was amazing!

My health/education worker children all got shots before me and told me all the side effects they felt.

I noticed no side effects. Later I googled and read that people my age (over 60) generally have less side effects.

My vaccine was J&J, and I was grateful to only need the one shot. My appointment was with CVS at 3pm and I was out at 3:25pm. No wait except a few minutes to check in behind a guy not getting the vaccine but asking many questions and then the 15 minutes post vaccine. So easy.

I signed up in 5 different places (hospital groups, state dept of health, county dept of health) when my age group became eligible. Then daily I would look online at the various places with availability. The same day I got my vaccine, emails started coming giving me the ability to make an appointment. So, my time had truly arrived! I did cancel and respond to all emails to get removed from the lists.

Sweet, my employer is doing an on site vaccine clinic, so we get ours next Saturday. We can bring a plus one which is great. Don’t know which brand we are getting. Who knows how long we’d wait if we were going thru the regular channels.

IN opened up 45-49 today. I got my first round of Pfeizer. So far no real side effects. I did shriek a little bit when they did it, but I survived. I was a little shaky right afterwards, but I think that was nerves and had nothing to do with the vaccine. My arm is a little sore right now, but that's about it. It wasn't that bad of an experience, so far anyway.

My dad is the first one in our family to qualify. He has his first appointment on March 30 for the Pfizer vaccine. My mom will qualify soon and I will in the last week of April (approx). Our age limits right now are 77+ but they drop every day or two. I will qualify earlier than my age group will because of health conditions.

My husband had his second moderna shot on Sunday and had HORRIBLE effects. I have mine tomorrow and I’m really nervous. CVS told him to only use Tylenol to treat. I’ve heard various thoughts on this. Tylenol isn’t that effective for me so I’m wondering if that’s the only thing I can take. ??

My wife got her first Pfizer earlier today. She is napping now, but that seems to be it. Second scheduled for 3 weeks from today. Shot was given at a different National Guard run mass vax site than the NG run site I got mine at, run with precision, just like the one where I got mine.

DH got his first Moderna shot this afternoon. We found out yesterday that he was eligible through work, and I was able to get him an appointment for today. He said the shot didn't hurt at all and that he feels tired, but not much else. Now we've both had our first shots and I'm so thankful!

I’m a teacher in MA so we became eligible about two weeks ago. I was originally booked for my first dose of Pfizer on the 5th and tested positive for COVId that morning. 10 days of isolation and working from home and a canceled vaccine! I returned to work Monday and am feeling 95% better. My case was very mild, I’m still young (31) and hav3 no underlying health issues other than thyroid and I am about 15 pounds overweight. I pretegistered myself for an appointment through the MA appointment finder website a few days ago and had been getting notifications for appointments in central and Western MA, but was finally notified of local availability for next Friday. I will get my first dose of Pfizer the day I was originally scheduled for my second dose of Pfizer.

I got my first Moderna on March 5. Only symptom really was the stiffness in the arm the next day, and a slight headache (which may or may not have been related).

My second is scheduled for 4/2, and I’m so ready. Especially because I have a co-worker who was also vaccinated with her first the same week as me (a couple days before) and she tested positive and got sick with Covid last Thursday (textbook case it sounds like, with basically every symptom), so about a week after the vaccine. Could have been exposed the same day or just after. Ugh, what awful timing.

Well, since you have to put in answers that might indicate your age and status, first you would probably have to falsify your information. I had to enter my insurance info and other info, and then when I showed up, I had to show my driver's license which shows my age which is how I qualified. My adult children had to show their school identification in addition to their driver's license. Editing to add: they also had to sign up through a link provided by their school.

People who have shown up and who have not qualified have been turned away.

Some people in the right place at the right time have gotten vaccines that might have been wasted otherwise.
