Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

He should still be charged. Basically it's attempted murder.
I don't disagree, but he can't be charged with it. In order to charge attempted murder you have to have a victim. Right now they are only charging him with property crimes, if the vaccines are still usable, there will not have been any property damage, so there will have been no crime. I've been told they pulled his license but I haven't seen that anywhere, I'm fairly certain that will happen. Unfortunately that might be all the punishment this guy faces.

This is a large group of extremists who believe this who have gotten a lot of traction in the last year or so. I have a family member who believe it. I don’t talk to them anymore - not because of this.

My step mom, who is an homeopathic doctor and a nurse before that, and my aunt both believe this and are also huge antivaxxers. I stay clear of both of them as much as I can. It is not hard. My dad and step mom live in Kentucky now and my aunt is in Michigan. Neither really come to Ohio to visit. If I do see them I avoid any conversation about medical stuff. I made the mistake once to mention that I had gotten the MMR shot recently. That was like an hour long lecture that I just stopped paying attention to.

Is anyone else's county doing something like this? This isn't my county but nearby. I think it's a good idea to get down to a localized awareness: https://fox4kc.com/news/all-jackson...d-to-fill-out-vaccine-survey-to-decide-order/

A key statement: "The survey will ask for contact information, occupation, and pre-existing medical conditions. Responses will be checked against the state rollout plan. Jackson county officials will contact those who participate when it is their time to get inoculated."

Filled ours out last night. Hoping that means something will start happening soon.

I was perusing my county health department site and came across a form to fill out to request a vaccine. My phase was on it (1b-Adult who works in a school), so I figured what the heck and I filled it out. No idea how they are using it, but it says they will call when they have a vaccine for me? I had to put my contact info, employer, work phone number, teaching license number and an explanation of why I qualify to get a shot at this phase. I’m not holding my breath (our state is still on 1A), but it would be nice!

With all the seniors in Florida, I don’t anticipate getting on the list soon, but I want it as soon as I can get it. I wish we had some sort of pre-register system in place. That would make it easier, for sure.

I didn't say charge him with attempted murder but there are charges such as tampering. Hoping his license was pulled. It's not his decision to make about whether or not what he dispenses is safe. His job is to inform and dispense, period.

An update for me--I'm watching my county's podcast update from yesterday. The county health director says at this time they aren't doing a survey for the general population. Back in December I do remember them sending out a survey for interest level from the hospitals. They also included in that gauging interests for dentists, phlebotomist, optometrists, etc. He said when they are ready to go to the next phase they'll give more information so I'm sorta envisioning once each phase is about to start they will release more information regarding the process for getting the vaccine. It's unclear to me if they will ever do a survey for the more general population (as gen pop is considered first come first serve by the state as far as I've seen) but he did say from all accounts interest is high here and the main issue is simply supply.

I will also say, I mentioned this on the other thread, he went over the order and I felt he gave a reasoned response to why so and so is included in 1A vs 2 vs 3 and that right now at least they are following the state's plan.

I'm happy to find out interest is high (from various groups too) though I'm hoping it stays that way.

From my county's info yesterday: "Today we vaccinated more than 1,200 healthcare workers and EMS staff" They're trying here, there just isn't enough vaccine yet being given to the area to match the need and demand.

Yesterday I gave vaccines for 6 hours and also received my second shot. I'm DONE! (Hopefully).
Anyway, our lines were much longer. Our governor has stated that all hospital personnel needs to get their vaccine by Jan 15th or lose their place in line. We're also vaccinating clinic staff, EMS and private physicians office at this point. My husband, who's in law enforcement has an appointment scheduled for January 28 so they're moving through essential workers.

As far as my second shot, I feel much better than after the first (I had coronavirus antibodies prior to my first vaccine). No chills, mild headache (or it could just be from last nights disaster in the capital and staying up too late watching the news) and a stuffy nose. My arm is a little sore but less so than with the first vaccine. I'm so happy to have my vaccine series done!

I live in Michigan and our Governor announced yesterday that residents 65 and older can be vaccinated beginning Monday, January 11th. So, I am going to look into where I can I get the vaccine. There is a website that will give the information, but it hasn’t been updated yet for all the counties in Michigan.

My son will get his second shot tomorrow.

So glad that you found the second shot to be tolerable. I look forward to having it done, too!

Thanks again to all who have posted on first, and now second vaccine administration and how you reacted, or didn't, to them. It's nice to hear these reports and I appreciate it.
