Have you got your voter cards in the mail?

mickeywho? yes you can have someone vouch for you but that person has to live within your polling area and that neighbour can only vouch for 1 person during the whole election and if you are not registered you may do so at your polling place first.

And for this election everyone must have proper ID with their name and address on it.

Taken from elections Canada website. You do not need ID to vote but you and someone who is registered to vote in your poll must swear an oath.

IMPORTANT

When you vote, you must prove your identity and address.

You have three options:

* Show one original piece of government-issued identification containing your photo, name and address (like a driver's licence), or

* Show two original pieces of identification authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada. Both must have your name and one must also have your address (such as a health card and hydro bill), or

* Swear an oath and be vouched for by an elector (like a neighbour or your roommate) who is on the voters list in your polling division, and who has an acceptable piece or pieces of identification. The elector who vouches for you must also swear an oath.

Yep that's just what I said.;)
