made a page and didn't like it? What did you do? Did you keep it? Add to it? Or start over. I do traditional so I can't just erase it and start over. I've already finished it, but I don't like it and I don't know whether to keep it anyway or try to take the pics off and start over.:confused3

I had a page keep going wrong last week and I wasn't completely happy with it - is there something particularly annoying on it? Like is an embellishment not quite working or don't you like the colour scheme?

If i don't like a page the first thing I do is see if something extra will help - like a small splash of a brighter colour, a small embellishment or something. If the colour is not working I try adding photo mats. I've never scrapped a layout completely but I've tweaked and then made do with what I get to;)

I have several of those "doodling" books and I doodled on the page. I think the doodles look very much like the ones in the book, but I'm not happy with the whole page. It's probably one of those times where everyone else would like it, but I don't because I did it. It's not a horrible page, just not one I'm thrilled with.

I have taken paper off and re-done that, but I have never re-done a whole page. I would step away from the page for a day or so and then come back to it. Fresh eyes work wonders for a page that is not shaping up the way you would like. :thumbsup2

I have just ordered up the photos and done a new page - and kept both of them! I scrap for the joy of scrapping - and there are topics i've done 2- 3 times - my kitchen renovation, my dh doing work around the house, Disney characters (more like dozens of times) . Now, though, I have SO many projects in mind I just put the page in the book and move on. So it's not my fav - big deal. There'll be another page or six tomorrow.

Put it in the book & move on. When you've finished the book, sit down & flip through it. You may realize its not as bad as you thought. But if its still bugging you, I'd take it apart & start over or try & add something that connects it to the page next to it. I've found that adding something sometimes works & sometimes its just the layout of the photos. But, I've been where you are many times.

I did a 2-page spread twice and didn't like it. I ended up taking off the pictures and starting again. I realized I liked my color scheme, but I just didn't like the layout.

The third time, I put all the elements on the pages and didn't glue them. I left the pages on my desk and would look at them every now and then, chaning things around until I finally figured out how I wanted the page to look. I glued everything down and I'm 99.9% happy with the pages.

well, I left it on the desk and I'll look at it again when I get home. I probably won't change it, I'll just leave it.

I have either ordered new photos or taken apart the pages... I did it just a few weeks ago.. thought the page looked good via the sketch...but it just wasn't workin' for me when complete... I put it to the side... and came back to it.. and tweaked it up and I like it a lot better now....

I went back to it last night. It wasn't much better, but it wasn't any worse. I think I'll leave it.:rolleyes1

If I don't have a plan for a book - that's EXACTLY how I scrap!

Sure. You can't love every page.

Some I've decided were good enough, and just left them.

One I posted here, because I hadn't glued it yet, and invited other people to fix it for me. It came out much better!

But there is one that I did for a layout challenge that just isn't my style at all. I actually still notice it when I'm looking at that book, so maybe I'll try the the add-something tip.
