Have you ever witnessed this while eating out.

You saw 1 woman taking 12 lemon wedges. Did you happen to notice how many people did not take 1 wedge? If the restaurant can't take the loss of 2 or 3 lemons then they won't stay open anyway.
Hopefully, if someone went to the drink station and saw there were no lemons, they had 2 brain cells to rub together and would think to ask a server to please put out more lemons.

I don't know why I keep coming back and reading this thread.. I guess it's because it's gotten to the point where I'm getting some chuckles out of it because lemons have become such a "hot topic".. Who would have thought?LOL..

And for the record, I drink milk - purchased at the restaurant..:goodvibes

Can't look away either, huh?

I think waitstaff often consider it cheap because the customer is getting the same amount of work from them (if not more, because they have to clean up the extra lemon and sweetener packets) but not paying for the drink so they do not tip on it.

This is the issue.

Awful, isn't it? :rotfl:

It just amazes me some of the things that people get so rattled and angry about..

:rotfl: Yes, who needs to worry about politics or religion? We have lemon debates.

Well we already did the whole "one roll of toilet paper" that was stolen from a place of employment thing - lemon debate today.. I can hardly wait to get up tomorrow and see what the hot topic of the day is going to be..;)

It's entertaining.. I'll give it that..:rotfl:

Oh - and throw in the relative/family holiday swap that's going on over on the BB? Priceless.. I've been in tears.. LOL..

It appears to be someone egging on the people that have an issue with it.. There always has to be at least one.. I'm surprised there aren't more..:)

Oh I see! I was so confused trying to follow why people were getting so worked up over lemons that I lost track over where the arguement had switched over to how much money we'd all saved away over the last five years!

I'm glad I could clear that up for you..:goodvibes Although quite frankly, I don't personally know anyone who has saved $80,000 in 5 years by making their own lemonade in restaurants..:confused3

So I started to read this thread because my MIL does this and I could care less. But then I kept reading and all I can do is laugh. Thank you all for putting a smile on my face tonight :lmao:

I work in fast food. We have people who request lemon in their water all the time. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. We've also had people who bring in their own soda (or more commonly, bottled water) and don't order a drink. I've never seen anyone make their own "lemonade", it just seems silly to me.

I'd much rather save my ire for the customers who come in with 3 different coupons, want NONE of the items they actually have coupons for, but want to substitute this, that and the other thing for the coupon items and want to subtract X and Y from their sandwich, but add A, B and C and can I have 1/3 lemonade, 1/3 sweet tea and 1/3 sprite?

Went to a sandwich shop for lunch yesterday, they guy I was with ordered a water. No problem. He then grabbed some lemon packs and put the lemon juice in the water followed by sweet and low. I guess he made his own lemon aid. I have to admit that it was embarrassing to me. Next time I would rather by him a lemon aid if he's going to do that. He is from the great state of Arkansas, maybe they do that there I don't know, didn't want to ask. To me it was very strange.

Wonderful sandwich shop though.

I used to do that with water, lemon wedges, and sugar packets when I was small. We were not allowed to drink soda or juice and I was out with a family that only drank soda, and the pizza place did not serve lemonade so I made my own:confused3.

I have not tried that as an adult though, I know better now:rotfl:

is that what I got to do to get 80,000 in my savings account, boy this whole time I have been going about it all wrong lol :lmao:

I do it all the time. You jealous Ive got 80,000 grand saved up in 5 years? Sounds like it. Ill keep laughing to the bank.

That's $43.83 a DAY! Who drinks that much??!! :lmao:

Server here. Customer making their own lemonade would never bother me. Ask me for extra lemons and I am happy to bring them to you. Now pocketing all the sugars for your vacation home or leaving dirty tissues on the table, those two thing make me CRAZY!:confused3

Not so much about the lemon but my mom brings her own crystal light packets with her. She can't drink soda because she's diabetic and she can't drink milk because she's allergic. Her only choice is water with her packets.

Some places, especially FL, she brings her own water in too (bottled). One sip of foreign water and she's sicker then a dog for days. I'd rather get a nasty look from a waiter or a patron then see my mom in the hospital again.

The water in Florida is enough to make anyone sick.

I haven't seen anyone do this, but I wouldn't think about it twice if I did. Why would you care?

I get lemon in my water all the time. It really helps with the taste of FL water! I don't add sugar. However my friend does. She's not a fan of soda or strong lemonade and likes to jazz up her water. Nothing wrong with it.

fwiw, lime in your water is good too.

I'm a little curious about your "great state of Arkansas" comment. I have never ordered water with a lemon. My sister orders lemon with her diet coke, but I don't know anyone who orders water and makes lemonade.
