Is it ever possible to walk up to a TS resturaunt that is full (with resies) and get in? Im trying to get an adr for Tonys on May 3rd but they are booked, I thought Id try to go up to the podium and ask if they have a tabel available. Has any one ever done this, did it work?

These are the restaurants that my family and I have walked up with no ADR's and this was when we were going for dinner.

Chef Mickey's
Concourse Steakhouse

We have done this a few times.

Le Cellier, and after they seated us, the hostess said, don't let anyone else walk in for a table..we are booked solid. The restaurant didn't fill up, many many empty tables the whole time we were there.

Crystal Palace..last minute..but we were on the grand plan (the name for the big all inclusive plan from years ago)

Boma, we tried to get ps's the whole time before the trip, from the room, front desk, etc. We finally just went to Boma podium when they opened. They said no problem and seated us immediately.

We have walked into Artist Point, Jiko, Le Bistro, Chefs de France, and the list goes on.

In Jan. we arrived late on a Wed. at the POLY, and were able to go to O'Hana's the next morning about 9:30. We didn't even realize how lucky we were getting in without a ressie; our schedule had originally called for another restaurant, but we didn't want to get there so early after getting in so late. Looking back, it was especially wonderful. The character breakfast was so special, and set the tone for our wonderful trip!:dance3:

We were able to walk up to San Angel Inn for lunch at an odd time. Maybe 2PM or so?

In December, we could have gotten our pick of times at LTT for lunch, but ended up at Crystal Palace. I had called CP earlier in the morning and they had nothing available. When I went up to the podium around 11:15, they told me to check back at 12. When I got there at 11:55 they told me to check back at 12:rolleyes: . When I got there at 12, they were letting in a lot of walkins and they told me everyone in our party had to be present before they would take me. Probably about 9 parties got in ahead of me before my family showed up.

The gf and I walked into the California Grill one night with out ADR's. And it was just before Wishes, so it was an extra surprise.

I was told on the phone one afternoon that Chef Mickey's had no openings. But we went over anyway(right at 5:00--starting time for dinner), walked up to the podium, and had a seat within 15 minutes.

On the other side, on our most recent stay, we were at Le Cellier for lunch. I overheard a couple asking about a table, and they were told that the resturant was booked all day! (This was when they opened at 11 a.m.)

Many times...at OHana's, Kona, Crystal Palace. One time at Le Cellier there was a CM who saw us looking at the menu outside and asked if we wanted a table...we said no because we weren't that hungry then, but I wish we'd gone in.

During Easter Week, we were able to get a table for 11 @ 50's Prime Time for lunch at 12:20PM...they even seated us at one big table.

We have been able to get a table at different places also. The most recent ones I remember are Crystal Palace and Sci-Fi.

I walked into Grand Floridian Cafe this past December with just a short wait. I also could have gone to Concourse Steakhouse with a 45 minute wait.

It depends on how "overbooked" the restaurant is. Le Cellier overbooks and frequently will tell guests without ADRs they won't be accomodated no matter how long they're willing to wait. Other restaurants will work with you, particularly if you get there when they first open. Plans can change and some guests are thoughtful enough to call and cancel their ADR. Other guests just don't show. Either way some walk up guests might be accomodated.

At one time some restaurants, I think including WCC, saved some seats for walk ups. I'm not sure which restaurants, if any, still do that.

I did this past December at Le Cellier. We tried all week to get in for any time and they were completely booked. Every time we were at EPCOT I would walk up and still completely booked. On our last day I decided to give it one last try and the person in front of me was told they were full. I went up and asked and they seated us in 20 min. Talk about lucky. This time I was smarter though and we have our adr. We were also able to walk up to San Angel Inn and in France

DS 7 and I walked right up to LTT in June '06 and were seated within 5 minutes. Pixie dust I guess.

Plus, you can keep calling back also. They always have cancellations.

We went in Feb. and before leaving for MGM Studios that morning, we called Mama Melrose's and got ressies.

Last year we were resort hopping and stopped at POLY around dinner. We scoped out 'OHana which was packed. The hostess was in a heated argument with a very angry woman. After they finished my wife approached with a sweet attitude, asked if a table was available and the hostess beamed "one just opened up":rotfl2: ! It pays to be nice!

Yes, you can get in without ADR's!
