Have you ever stayed on the ship when you got to Nassau? Not at Castaway Cay, just Nassau.

I mean, just stayed and enjoyed the ship. We will have a 3 yr old and a 14 year old at time of travel. We have been to Nassau and it seemed very chaotic. It was almost 5 years ago.

I can't seem to picture what to do with our family in Nassau? At least until DS is old enough to go on an excursion. I'm sure this won't be a problem in Castaway Cay.

If my family ever returns to Nassau by way of ship, we will stay onboard! My boys would have more fun onboard while everyone else is touring...

Last time we stayed on the ship in Nassau. Enjoyed every second of it (kids did too).

I stayed on board at one of the ports with DD 4 and DS 2. They swam in an almost empty pool. Later we attempted to play shuffleboard and were the only people on deck 4. It was a very relaxing day.

DW and I stayed on the ship while we were docked at Nassau in early January, we had a very nice day staying onboard.

DGS (age 6) and I stayed on the ship in Nassau and had a great time swimming, enjoying a movie, and just exploring the ship. I had already been to Nassau and with a 3-night cruise, and DGS's first time cruising, the ship was more than enough to keep us busy.

During lunch at Topsiders, I took an excellent pic of DGS with the beautiful Atlantis Hotel in the background. That was our Nassau and that was enough. :)

I vote for staying on the ship!!!!

You will have a blast injoying the ship. Put the kids in the kid clubs and do the spa thing or enjoy the practly empty pool...

In 2003 we stayed onboard in both Nassau and in Freeport.

In 2004 I drug DD off the ship with me in Nassau and DH stayed onboard.

He has yet to get off that ship except for in Castaway Cay!! :teeth: That will change this year though on the repo cruise.

Definitely stay on board!!!!esdpecially on 3 & 4 night cruises....That is so little time to enjoy what the ship has to offer...besides you did pay for it.

We got off at Nassau for some shopping when we went in dec.2004. we didn't plan any excursions.....we were back for lunch and an afternoon by the pool.

Of course the excursions seem like a lot of fun but with so little time aboard the ship I would definitely stay and enjoy all it has to offer.

Have a great one!!! :Pinkbounc

I haven't sailed DCL yet so I don't know if they do it or not but on RCI cruises the spa offers port specials. I got 3 treatments for 69.00 dollars on one of our RCI cruises with a port day special.
