How long did it take to arrive?

We ordered a coffee table from our locally owned Lazy-Boy store, said it would come from the manufacturer & it's almost 4 weeks now. Dh is getting aggrivated.

One time we had to wait 10 weeks for a living room set.

If it wasn't in stock, it could take a lot longer. We just ordered bedroom furniture from a place in NC and it should be coming fast. If all goes well it will be to us in 2-3 weeks from ordering it, but it was in stock and they seem to pick up furniture often from the furniture company and have the trucking company deliver often. They said that if it wasn't in stock that it would depend on when that furniture line was going to be cut, so it could really vary. Other places said about 4 weeks for in stock and 8 for furniture that wasn't in stock. Others said up to 12 weeks.

12 weeks is about the average. Our bedroom set took 7 months.

What kind of time frame did they give you? When we've ordered furniture that's coming from the manufacturer it's taken 6-8 weeks.

We have ordered furniture. It takes awhile. They have to make it and ship it.

We did order Bassett and I think they made it here, however quality is lacking as far as I am concerned. It took 4 months, I think.

Now it would be better if we made furniture in the USA but I believe most is made overseas.

I had to wait 12 weeks for a sofa table. THe store sometimes waits until they have a specific number of pieces to order from a particular dealer or else shipping is outrageous.

We've only ordered furniture from American Signature...waited anywhere from a week to two weeks.

We have bought from Ethan Allen, La-Z-Boy, Macy's, Kanes, and Bassett Direct in the past three years.

The items took between two weeks and five months. The quickest was some of the case goods from Ethan Allen, and the sofa from Macy's at about two weeks each.

The longest was the settee from Ethan Allen, however they did warn us when we ordered it that it could take up to six months.

Kanes was spot on with their timeframe and delivery. Not the greatest furniture, but a great buying and delivery experience.

Bassett was TERRIBLE. First they tried to deliver the wrong stuff--three weeks after it was promised. Then they brought the wrong item again a month later. They said they would give us a credit for the inconvenience, and never did. Finally three months after the initial scheduled delivery we finally got what we had ordered.

La-Z-Boy took four, maybe five weeks, and we are quite pleased with the quality of the sofa we purchased from them. It's not full sized--slightly larger than a love seat but smaller than an average sofa. It's in my den, and quite comfy to nap on every now and then.

We just ordered a lot of furniture from Ethan Allen 8 weeks ago and still have not received all of the pieces.

Living in the area that was hard hit by Katrina we found out that most of our neighbors are also waiting for delivery for furniture (and everything else). My MIL also ordered some new pieces from Maryland and she is still waiting as well due to the huge demand from people here.

We ordered our bedroom and family room furniture from Thomasville and waited 4 months for it.

We ordered a custom sofa that took a little over 4 months, twice as long as they estimated.

We ordered our Living Room and Family Room furniture 2 years ago, it took 5 months for everything to be finished and shipped. We ordered through a local furniture who in turn ordered it through the manufacturer (C.R. Layne).
