Have you ever lost your child at Disney?

We lost oldest DS in the boneyard two years in a row. We now avoid the playgrounds on our trips. The first time my 2DS and my nephew were playing on the small toddler slides thun suddenly oldest DS 3.5 was was gone. We told the CM right away and the play area was shut down and no one was allowed to leave. My husband found him five minuted later hiding in a cave. The second time the boys went up the slides and oldest DS did not come down with his brother.

We now always put a paper with our cell number in the kids pockets and take pictures in the morning before we leave. Hopefully we will never need to use them.

Never at Disney, but once, when DD was 3, I left her in the car with dog while I checked out the inside of our home under construction. Gone 5 minutes...came back and she and dog were gone. I was terrified....this was high country winter, snow about 3 feet deep. I called and called and dog came back, no baby.........She was just standing in snow up to her chin, down in the pasture....a little pink spot (her hat) was all that was showing.

I never forgave myself for that moment....and I never let her come on the building site ever again. Once was enough. Scared me and her guardian angel to death.

My sister was lost in WDW. She was about 3 then. It was my mom, dad, DS (then about 10), me (then about 6), DS (about 3) and DB (he was a baby). We were going to the bathroom and then were going to get ice cream. However, she saw a character and went in the opposite direction. Well, you can guess it. my parents were in a total panic (this wasn't the first time that we had lost this one- not at WDW though). They sat us down on a bench and went racing around looking for her. In the end though, it was my older DS who found her. She was sitting on a bench crying. So it was all good in the end. We have since been to WDW many times since then, but with more people (we have added DS-11, DB-7, and DB-4, to the mix) We actually all went in February and all came home safe and sound.
