Have you ever had your eyebrows professionally done?

I've gotten them waxed, since having three boys I have much more hair in places I don't want & can't keep up with plucking.

I have never had any kind of pain. I get them done at the same upscale salon where I get my hair done, I just don't trust anyone else with my face. It tends to last 6-8 weeks. I think I pay about $10-$12. The salon I go to doesn't allow tipping, or in other words, includes it in the price of the service.

I really liked it, and it was only $7, a wax around here is at least $15.

Do a search to find a place by you. Ours are in the mall, and it took about 15 minutes. It looks good, didn't hurt!

I don't get my eyebrows waxed but my 14 year old son does. He has that uni-brow thing going (connects in the middle) where it looks like he has 1 long eyebrow. He was not sure he wanted to do it, but after his first time he was hooked. He now reminds me when he needs it done again!

I saw something about threading on T.V. once (some person who does all the celeberities) It looked pretty cool. I don't know who does it around here. The price was high were I went, but so far I am pretty happy with it. I hope it lasts a few months, $20 every month isn't another expense I need. I only get my hair cut a few times a year (maybe 4 ) it is curly and long and doesn't change that much. But then again I shave my legs daily.

I get mine done about every 6 weeks, the same time I get my hair cut. My stylist sharges $3 each time, and I pluck in between. I was absolutely shocked at how different I looked after I had them done - of course would DH notice it?

Don't get it done when AF is here. You will swell more and the pain is worse (it's true!!)...

Just a tip.

I get mine done every time I get my haircut. I find it relaxing!

I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time last year at the beauty salon....my daughter was a brand new stylist and had to try it out on me! Hurt like crap!!!! Now I just tweeze the strays every couple of days...I bought one of those super magnifying mirrors so I can see the little suckers!!!! If I don't and my DD cuts my hair and sees some strays, she gets out her tweezers....and that hurts more than if I do it myself

I had mine done last year at the Arden Red Door Spa. It was $22, which I see now was WAAAAY overpriced! Not to mention I am blond, and my eyebrows are blond. Even if I NEVER plucked them nobody would notice!

After the one wax job I couldn't tell any difference, and I wasn't about to rush back and pay another $22 to not tell a difference! So I just tweeze the stray ones and leave well enough alone.

I found that I can see to tweeze them really well in the car - especially when it is sunny out! I keep tweezers in my purse so I can fix my eyebrows when I have a few minutes in the carpool line or whatever. Warning: Do NOT tweeze while driving.

How?

i use sally hansen's lavender spa wax facial wand. except i don't apply directly from the wand to my brow -- i use the wooden popsicle sticks that come in the package. with the sticks you can really easily guide where the wax goes.
