Have you ever gotten a 'recycled' UPS Tracking number?

I ordered some stuff online this past weekend and recieved the 'confimation of shipping' email yesterday.

It's a site I've never ordered from in the past.

I go to check my 'tracking' at UPS.com and notice that the package associated with my tracking number was delivered on September 2, 2003 to Charlotte, NC. (I'm in CT.)

Has this ever happened to anyone else? When will it "roll over" to track *my* shipment? Should I contact the customer service at the site I ordered from?

Thanks so much!

Yes. I work for a big company and one of my prime jobs here is tracking packages from our various carriers. UPS and FEDEX are both notorius for this.

I would call them, and ask to speak to a customer service manager, explain what happened, and they should be able to look up the real info from the date it shipped, addresses etc.

If you need any help, feel free to PM me. I do this sort of stuff all day long...LOL!

"Them" being the site I ordered from, or UPS?

also - if I ignore this...am I to assume my package will still get to me and not be delivered to "Tina at the Front Desk" like the Charlotte, NC package was?

heheheh

thanks!
